< Exodus 25 >
1 Then the LORD said to Moses,
Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out], saying,
2 “Tell the Israelites to bring Me an offering. You are to receive My offering from every man whose heart compels him.
“Speak to the children of Israel [God prevails], that they take an offering for me. From everyone whose heart makes him willing you shall take my offering.
3 This is the offering you are to accept from them: gold, silver, and bronze;
This is the offering which you shall take from them: gold, silver, bronze,
4 blue, purple, and scarlet yarn; fine linen and goat hair;
blue, purple, scarlet, fine linen, goats’ hair,
5 ram skins dyed red and fine leather; acacia wood;
rams’ skins dyed red, sea cow hides, acacia wood,
6 olive oil for the light; spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense;

7 and onyx stones and gemstones to be mounted on the ephod and breastpiece.

8 And they are to make a sanctuary for Me, so that I may dwell among them.

9 You must make the tabernacle and design all its furnishings according to the pattern I show you.
According to all that I show you, the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all of its furniture, even so you shall make it.
10 And they are to construct an ark of acacia wood, two and a half cubits long, a cubit and a half wide, and a cubit and a half high.
“They shall make an ark of acacia wood. Its length shall be two and a half cubits [45 in; 114.3 cm], its width a cubit and a half [27 in; 68.58 cm], and a cubit and a half [27 in; 68.58 cm] its height.
11 Overlay it with pure gold both inside and out, and make a gold molding around it.
You shall overlay it with pure gold. You shall overlay it inside and outside, and you shall make a gold molding around it.
12 Cast four gold rings for it and fasten them to its four feet, two rings on one side and two on the other.
You shall cast four rings of gold for it, and put them in its four feet. Two rings shall be on the one side of it, and two rings on the other side of it.
13 And make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.
You shall make poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold.
14 Insert the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark, in order to carry it.
You shall put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark to carry the ark.
15 The poles are to remain in the rings of the ark; they must not be removed.
The poles shall be in the rings of the ark. They shall not be taken from it.
16 And place inside the ark the Testimony, which I will give you.
You shall put the testimony which I shall give you into the ark.
17 And you are to construct a mercy seat of pure gold, two and a half cubits long and a cubit and a half wide.
You shall make a mercy seat of pure gold. Two and a half cubits [45 in; 114.3 cm] shall be its length, and a cubit and a half [27 in; 68.58 cm] its width.
18 Make two cherubim of hammered gold at the ends of the mercy seat,
You shall make two cherubim of hammered gold. You shall make them at the two ends of the mercy seat.
19 one cherub on one end and one on the other, all made from one piece of gold.
Make one cherub at the one end, and one cherub at the other end. You shall make the cherubim on its two ends of one piece with the mercy seat.
20 And the cherubim are to have wings that spread upward, overshadowing the mercy seat. The cherubim are to face each other, looking toward the mercy seat.
The cherubim shall spread out their wings upward, covering the mercy seat with their wings, with their faces toward one another. The faces of the cherubim shall be toward the mercy seat.
21 Set the mercy seat atop the ark, and put the Testimony that I will give you into the ark.
You shall put the mercy seat on top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the testimony that I will give you.
22 And I will meet with you there above the mercy seat, between the two cherubim that are over the ark of the Testimony; I will speak with you about all that I command you regarding the Israelites.
There I will meet with you, and I will tell you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are on the ark of the testimony, all that I enjoin you for the children of Israel [God prevails].
23 You are also to make a table of acacia wood two cubits long, a cubit wide, and a cubit and a half high.
“You shall make a table of acacia wood. Two cubits [36 in; 91.44 cm] shall be its length, and a cubit [18 in; 45.72 cm] its width, and one and a half cubits [27 in; 68.58 cm] its height.
24 Overlay it with pure gold and make a gold molding around it.
You shall overlay it with pure gold, and make a gold molding around it.
25 And make a rim around it a handbreadth wide and put a gold molding on the rim.
You shall make a rim of a hand width [2.92 in; 7.4 cm] around it. You shall make a golden molding on its rim around it.
26 Make four gold rings for the table and fasten them to the four corners at its four legs.
You shall make four rings of gold for it, and put the rings in the four corners that are on its four feet.
27 The rings are to be close to the rim, to serve as holders for the poles used to carry the table.
The rings shall be close to the rim, for places for the poles to carry the table.
28 Make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold, so that the table may be carried with them.
You shall make the poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold, that the table may be carried with them.
29 You are also to make the plates and dishes, as well as the pitchers and bowls for pouring drink offerings. Make them out of pure gold.
You shall make its dishes, its spoons, its ladles, and its bowls to pour out offerings with. You shall make them of pure gold.
30 And place the Bread of the Presence on the table before Me at all times.
You shall set bread of the presence on the table before me always.
31 Then you are to make a lampstand of pure, hammered gold. It shall be made of one piece, including its base and shaft, its cups, and its buds and petals.
“You shall make a menorah ·lamp· of pure gold. Of hammered work shall the menorah ·lamp· be made, even its base, its shaft, its cups, its buds, and its flowers, shall be of one piece with it.
32 Six branches are to extend from the sides of the lampstand—three on one side and three on the other.
There shall be six branches going out of its sides: three branches of the menorah ·lamp· out of its one side, and three branches of the menorah ·lamp· out of its other side;
33 There are to be three cups shaped like almond blossoms on the first branch, each with buds and petals, three on the next branch, and the same for all six branches that extend from the lampstand.
three cups made like almond blossoms in one branch, a bud and a flower; and three cups made like almond blossoms in the other branch, a bud and a flower, so for the six branches going out of the menorah ·lamp·;
34 And on the lampstand there shall be four cups shaped like almond blossoms with buds and petals.
and in the menorah ·lamp· four cups made like almond blossoms, its buds and its flowers;
35 For the six branches that extend from the lampstand, a bud must be under the first pair of branches, a bud under the second pair, and a bud under the third pair.
and a bud under two branches of one piece with it, and a bud under two branches of one piece with it, and a bud under two branches of one piece with it, for the six branches going out of the menorah ·lamp·.
36 The buds and branches are to be all of one piece with the lampstand, hammered out of pure gold.
Their buds and their branches shall be of one piece with it, all of it one beaten work of pure gold.
37 Make seven lamps and set them up on the lampstand so that they illuminate the area in front of it.
You shall make its menorah ·lamp· candles seven, and they shall light the menorah ·lamp· to give light to the space in front of it.
38 The wick trimmers and their trays must be of pure gold.
Its snuffers and its snuff dishes shall be of pure gold.
39 The lampstand and all these utensils shall be made from a talent of pure gold.
It shall be made of a talent [3,000 sheckles; 75 lb; 34.02 kg] of pure gold, with all these accessories.
40 See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.
See that you make them after this pattern which has been shown to you on the mountain.
