Ephesians 6
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
Дїти, слухайте, своїх родителїв у Господі, се бо по правді.
2 “Honor your father and mother” (which is the first commandment with a promise),
Поважай батька твого і матїр: се перва заповідь із обітуваннєм:
3 “that it may go well with you and that you may have a long life on the earth.”
щоб добре тобі було і був ти довголїтен на землї.
4 Fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath; instead, bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
І ви, батьки, не роздразнюйте дітей своїх, а зрощуйте їх у науці і на-поминанню Господньому.
5 Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear and sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ.
Слуги, слухайте панів по тілу з страхом і трепетом, у простоті серця вашого, яко ж і Христа,
6 And do this not only to please them while they are watching, but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart.
не перед очима тільки служачи, яко чоловікоугодники, а яко слуги Христові, чинячи волю Божу од душі,
7 Serve with good will, as to the Lord and not to men,
з охотою служачи, як Господу, а не як людям,
8 because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free.
знаючи, що кожен, хто зробить що добре, прийме те від Господа, чи то невільник, чи вільний.
9 And masters, do the same for your slaves. Give up your use of threats, because you know that He who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with Him.
І ви, пани, робіть те ж саме їм, попускаючи їм грізьбу, знаючи, що й вам самим і їм єсть Пан на небесах, і вважання на лице нема в Него.
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.
На останок, браттє моє, кріпіть ся в Господї і в потузї сили Його.
11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can make your stand against the devil’s schemes.
Одягнїть ся у всю зброю Божу, щоб змогли ви стояти проти хитрощів дияволських.
12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (aiōn g165)
Бо наша боротьба не з тілом і кровю, а з князівствами, і з властями і з миродержителями тьми віка сього, з піднебесними духами злоби. (aiōn g165)
13 Therefore take up the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you will be able to stand your ground, and having done everything, to stand.
Того-то прийміть усю зброю Божу, щоб змогли встояти в день лютий і, все зробивши, стояти.
14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness arrayed,
Стійте ж оце, підперезавши поясницї ваші правдою і одягнувшись у броню праведности,
15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness of the gospel of peace.
і обувши ноги в готовість благовіствування миру,
16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
над усе ж узявши щит віри, котрим вдолїєте всі розпалені стріли лукавого вгасити;
17 And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
і шолом спасення візьміть і меч. духовний, котрий єсть слово Боже.
18 Pray in the Spirit at all times, with every kind of prayer and petition. To this end, stay alert with all perseverance in your prayers for all the saints.
Всякою молитвою і благаннєм молячись всякого часу духом і в сьому пильнуйте в усякому терпінню і благанню за всїх сьвятих,
19 Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will boldly make known the mystery of the gospel,
і за мене, щоб мені дано слово на відкривавше уст моїх, щоб сьміливо обявляти тайну благовістя;
20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it fearlessly, as I should.
Його ж я й посел у кайданах, щоб у ньому був сьміливий, яко же подобав мені глаголати.
21 Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will tell you everything, so that you also may know about me and what I am doing.
А щоб і ви знали про мене, що я роблю, усе скаже вам Тихик, любий брат і вірний слуга в Господі,
22 I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know about us, and that he may encourage your hearts.
котрого я й послав до вас, щоб ви знали про наші справи, і щоб він утішив серця ваші.
23 Peace to the brothers and love with faith from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Мир браттю і любов з вірою від Бога Отця і Господа Ісуса Христа.
24 Grace to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love.
Благодать з усіма, хто любить. Господа нашого Ісуса Христа в незотлїнню. Амінь.
