Ephesians 6
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
ਹੇ ਬਾਲਕਾਃ, ਯੂਯੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੁਮ੍ ਉੱਦਿਸ਼੍ਯ ਪਿਤ੍ਰੋਰਾਜ੍ਞਾਗ੍ਰਾਹਿਣੋ ਭਵਤ ਯਤਸ੍ਤਤ੍ ਨ੍ਯਾੱਯੰ|
2 “Honor your father and mother” (which is the first commandment with a promise),
ਤ੍ਵੰ ਨਿਜਪਿਤਰੰ ਮਾਤਰਞ੍ਚ ਸੰਮਨ੍ਯਸ੍ਵੇਤਿ ਯੋ ਵਿਧਿਃ ਸ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਜ੍ਞਾਯੁਕ੍ਤਃ ਪ੍ਰਥਮੋ ਵਿਧਿਃ
3 “that it may go well with you and that you may have a long life on the earth.”
ਫਲਤਸ੍ਤਸ੍ਮਾਤ੍ ਤਵ ਕਲ੍ਯਾਣੰ ਦੇਸ਼ੇ ਚ ਦੀਰ੍ਘਕਾਲਮ੍ ਆਯੁ ਰ੍ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੀਤਿ|
4 Fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath; instead, bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
ਅਪਰੰ ਹੇ ਪਿਤਰਃ, ਯੂਯੰ ਸ੍ਵਬਾਲਕਾਨ੍ ਮਾ ਰੋਸ਼਼ਯਤ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੋ ਰ੍ਵਿਨੀਤ੍ਯਾਦੇਸ਼ਾਭ੍ਯਾਂ ਤਾਨ੍ ਵਿਨਯਤ|
5 Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear and sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ.
ਹੇ ਦਾਸਾਃ, ਯੂਯੰ ਖ੍ਰੀਸ਼਼੍ਟਮ੍ ਉੱਦਿਸ਼੍ਯ ਸਭਯਾਃ ਕਮ੍ਪਾਨ੍ਵਿਤਾਸ਼੍ਚ ਭੂਤ੍ਵਾ ਸਰਲਾਨ੍ਤਃਕਰਣੈਰੈਹਿਕਪ੍ਰਭੂਨਾਮ੍ ਆਜ੍ਞਾਗ੍ਰਾਹਿਣੋ ਭਵਤ|
6 And do this not only to please them while they are watching, but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart.
ਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟਿਗੋਚਰੀਯਪਰਿਚਰ੍ੱਯਯਾ ਮਾਨੁਸ਼਼ੇਭ੍ਯੋ ਰੋਚਿਤੁੰ ਮਾ ਯਤਧ੍ਵੰ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਖ੍ਰੀਸ਼਼੍ਟਸ੍ਯ ਦਾਸਾ ਇਵ ਨਿਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਟਮਨੋਭਿਰੀਸ਼੍ਚਰਸ੍ਯੇੱਛਾਂ ਸਾਧਯਤ|
7 Serve with good will, as to the Lord and not to men,
ਮਾਨਵਾਨ੍ ਅਨੁੱਦਿਸ਼੍ਯ ਪ੍ਰਭੁਮੇਵੋੱਦਿਸ਼੍ਯ ਸਦ੍ਭਾਵੇਨ ਦਾਸ੍ਯਕਰ੍ੰਮ ਕੁਰੁਧ੍ਵੰ|
8 because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free.
ਦਾਸਮੁਕ੍ਤਯੋ ਰ੍ਯੇਨ ਯਤ੍ ਸਤ੍ਕਰ੍ੰਮ ਕ੍ਰਿਯਤੇ ਤੇਨ ਤਸ੍ਯ ਫਲੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੁਤੋ ਲਪ੍ਸ੍ਯਤ ਇਤਿ ਜਾਨੀਤ ਚ|
9 And masters, do the same for your slaves. Give up your use of threats, because you know that He who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with Him.
ਅਪਰੰ ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਵਃ, ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਭਿ ਰ੍ਭਰ੍ਤ੍ਸਨੰ ਵਿਹਾਯ ਤਾਨ੍ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਨ੍ਯਾੱਯਾਚਰਣੰ ਕ੍ਰਿਯਤਾਂ ਯਸ਼੍ਚ ਕਸ੍ਯਾਪਿ ਪਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਪਾਤੰ ਨ ਕਰੋਤਿ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕਮਪਿ ਤਾਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼ ਏਕਃ ਪ੍ਰਭੁਃ ਸ੍ਵਰ੍ਗੇ ਵਿਦ੍ਯਤ ਇਤਿ ਜ੍ਞਾਯਤਾਂ|
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.
ਅਧਿਕਨ੍ਤੁ ਹੇ ਭ੍ਰਾਤਰਃ, ਯੂਯੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੁਨਾ ਤਸ੍ਯ ਵਿਕ੍ਰਮਯੁਕ੍ਤਸ਼ਕ੍ਤ੍ਯਾ ਚ ਬਲਵਨ੍ਤੋ ਭਵਤ|
11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can make your stand against the devil’s schemes.
ਯੂਯੰ ਯਤ੍ ਸ਼ਯਤਾਨਸ਼੍ਛਲਾਨਿ ਨਿਵਾਰਯਿਤੁੰ ਸ਼ਕ੍ਨੁਥ ਤਦਰ੍ਥਮ੍ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰੀਯਸੁਸੱਜਾਂ ਪਰਿਧੱਧ੍ਵੰ|
12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (aiōn g165)
ਯਤਃ ਕੇਵਲੰ ਰਕ੍ਤਮਾਂਸਾਭ੍ਯਾਮ੍ ਇਤਿ ਨਹਿ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਕਰ੍ਤ੍ਰੁʼਤ੍ਵਪਰਾਕ੍ਰਮਯੁਕ੍ਤੈਸ੍ਤਿਮਿਰਰਾਜ੍ਯਸ੍ਯੇਹਲੋਕਸ੍ਯਾਧਿਪਤਿਭਿਃ ਸ੍ਵਰ੍ਗੋਦ੍ਭਵੈ ਰ੍ਦੁਸ਼਼੍ਟਾਤ੍ਮਭਿਰੇਵ ਸਾਰ੍ੱਧਮ੍ ਅਸ੍ਮਾਭਿ ਰ੍ਯੁੱਧੰ ਕ੍ਰਿਯਤੇ| (aiōn g165)
13 Therefore take up the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you will be able to stand your ground, and having done everything, to stand.
ਅਤੋ ਹੇਤੋ ਰ੍ਯੂਯੰ ਯਯਾ ਸੰਕੁਲੇ ਦਿਨੇ(ਅ)ਵਸ੍ਥਾਤੁੰ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਾਣਿ ਪਰਾਜਿਤ੍ਯ ਦ੍ਰੁʼਢਾਃ ਸ੍ਥਾਤੁਞ੍ਚ ਸ਼ਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਥ ਤਾਮ੍ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰੀਯਸੁਸੱਜਾਂ ਗ੍ਰੁʼਹ੍ਲੀਤ|
14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness arrayed,
ਵਸ੍ਤੁਤਸ੍ਤੁ ਸਤ੍ਯਤ੍ਵੇਨ ਸ਼੍ਰੁʼਙ੍ਖਲੇਨ ਕਟਿੰ ਬੱਧ੍ਵਾ ਪੁਣ੍ਯੇਨ ਵਰ੍ੰਮਣਾ ਵਕ੍ਸ਼਼ ਆੱਛਾਦ੍ਯ
15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness of the gospel of peace.
ਸ਼ਾਨ੍ਤੇਃ ਸੁਵਾਰ੍ੱਤਯਾ ਜਾਤਮ੍ ਉਤ੍ਸਾਹੰ ਪਾਦੁਕਾਯੁਗਲੰ ਪਦੇ ਸਮਰ੍ਪ੍ਯ ਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਤ|
16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
ਯੇਨ ਚ ਦੁਸ਼਼੍ਟਾਤ੍ਮਨੋ(ਅ)ਗ੍ਨਿਬਾਣਾਨ੍ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਾਨ੍ ਨਿਰ੍ੱਵਾਪਯਿਤੁੰ ਸ਼ਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਥ ਤਾਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼ੰ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਾੱਛਾਦਕੰ ਫਲਕੰ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਾਸੰ ਧਾਰਯਤ|
17 And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
ਸ਼ਿਰਸ੍ਤ੍ਰੰ ਪਰਿਤ੍ਰਾਣਮ੍ ਆਤ੍ਮਨਃ ਖਙ੍ਗਞ੍ਚੇਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਵਾਕ੍ਯੰ ਧਾਰਯਤ|
18 Pray in the Spirit at all times, with every kind of prayer and petition. To this end, stay alert with all perseverance in your prayers for all the saints.
ਸਰ੍ੱਵਸਮਯੇ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਯਾਚਨੇਨ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਪ੍ਰਾਰ੍ਥਨੇਨ ਚਾਤ੍ਮਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਰ੍ਥਨਾਂ ਕੁਰੁਧ੍ਵੰ ਤਦਰ੍ਥੰ ਦ੍ਰੁʼਢਾਕਾਙ੍ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਯਾ ਜਾਗ੍ਰਤਃ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੇਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰਲੋਕਾਨਾਂ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤੇ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਰ੍ਥਨਾਂ ਕੁਰੁਧ੍ਵੰ|
19 Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will boldly make known the mystery of the gospel,
ਅਹਞ੍ਚ ਯਸ੍ਯ ਸੁਸੰਵਾਦਸ੍ਯ ਸ਼੍ਰੁʼਙ੍ਖਲਬੱਧਃ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰਕਦੂਤੋ(ਅ)ਸ੍ਮਿ ਤਮ੍ ਉਪਯੁਕ੍ਤੇਨੋਤ੍ਸਾਹੇਨ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰਯਿਤੁੰ ਯਥਾ ਸ਼ਕ੍ਨੁਯਾਂ
20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it fearlessly, as I should.
ਤਥਾ ਨਿਰ੍ਭਯੇਨ ਸ੍ਵਰੇਣੋਤ੍ਸਾਹੇਨ ਚ ਸੁਸੰਵਾਦਸ੍ਯ ਨਿਗੂਢਵਾਕ੍ਯਪ੍ਰਚਾਰਾਯ ਵਕ੍ਤ੍ਰੁʼਤਾ ਯਤ੍ ਮਹ੍ਯੰ ਦੀਯਤੇ ਤਦਰ੍ਥੰ ਮਮਾਪਿ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰ੍ਥਨਾਂ ਕੁਰੁਧ੍ਵੰ|
21 Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will tell you everything, so that you also may know about me and what I am doing.
ਅਪਰੰ ਮਮ ਯਾਵਸ੍ਥਾਸ੍ਤਿ ਯੱਚ ਮਯਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਯਤੇ ਤਤ੍ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੰ ਯਦ੍ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਭਿ ਰ੍ਜ੍ਞਾਯਤੇ ਤਦਰ੍ਥੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੁਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਿਯਭ੍ਰਾਤਾ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਾਸ੍ਯਃ ਪਰਿਚਾਰਕਸ਼੍ਚ ਤੁਖਿਕੋ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਨ੍ ਤਤ੍ ਜ੍ਞਾਪਯਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ|
22 I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know about us, and that he may encourage your hearts.
ਯੂਯੰ ਯਦ੍ ਅਸ੍ਮਾਕਮ੍ ਅਵਸ੍ਥਾਂ ਜਾਨੀਥ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਮਨਾਂਸਿ ਚ ਯਤ੍ ਸਾਨ੍ਤ੍ਵਨਾਂ ਲਭਨ੍ਤੇ ਤਦਰ੍ਥਮੇਵਾਹੰ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਸੰਨਿਧਿੰ ਤੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼਼ਿਤਵਾਨ|
23 Peace to the brothers and love with faith from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
ਅਪਰਮ੍ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਃ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਰ੍ਯੀਸ਼ੁਖ੍ਰੀਸ਼਼੍ਟਸ਼੍ਚ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੇਭ੍ਯੋ ਭ੍ਰਾਤ੍ਰੁʼਭ੍ਯਃ ਸ਼ਾਨ੍ਤਿੰ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਾਸਸਹਿਤੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਚ ਦੇਯਾਤ੍|
24 Grace to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love.
ਯੇ ਕੇਚਿਤ੍ ਪ੍ਰਭੌ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਖ੍ਰੀਸ਼਼੍ਟੇ(ਅ)ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਯੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕੁਰ੍ੱਵਨ੍ਤਿ ਤਾਨ੍ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦੋ ਭੂਯਾਤ੍| ਤਥਾਸ੍ਤੁ|
