< Ephesians 4 >
1 As a prisoner in the Lord, then, I urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling you have received:
Erah raangtaan ih—Ngah, Teesu mootkaat kaatkang ih phaatak ni tongte warah ih baat rumhala: Rangte ih poon tahan eno heh ih poon theethe ih tongtha an.
2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love,
Sen loong ah saarookwet toongtang ang theng, mise angtheng nyia jirep jen naan ete ang theng. Wasiit ih wasiit jeng naan anno sen minchan ah noisok theng.
3 and with diligence to preserve the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
Chiiala ni sen loong ah semroongroong ang anno esiit ih jutje lan, eno erah jutje lan ah naririh ih thiin an.
4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called;
Sakpuh nyia chiiala ah esiit angla, erah likhiik Rangte ih uh laalom esiit raang ih poon halan.
5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism;
Teesu esiit, tuumaang esiit, juutem esiit angla;
6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
thoontang mina raangtaan ih Rangte nyia Hewah esiit, eno heh loongtang raang ih Teesu, loongtang mina jun ih roong mokala nyia loongtang mina damdi tongla.
7 Now to each one of us grace has been given according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
Seng loong esiit esiit suh hoondak lakkot ah Kristo ih thiikmiikta jun ih chothuk hali.
8 This is why it says: “When He ascended on high, He led captives away, and gave gifts to men.”
Rangteele ni amah liiha, “Heh echoong thoon ni du wangta adi, phaatak nawa loong ah hantek siitwanta; heh ih mina loong suh hoondak lakkot ah korumta.”
9 What does “He ascended” mean, except that He also descended to the lower parts of the earth?
Eno, amadi “heh du wangta” ah tiimjih suh liiha? Erah langla jaakhoh ah arah hamongtang adi ra taha.
10 He who descended is the very One who ascended above all the heavens, in order to fill all things.
Erah thoidi wasiit wah marah datra taha erah wah wah ah we ngaak duuwangta, rang khothung echoong ni duuwangta, rang nyi hah noongrep nah heh eje totoh angsuh ah.
11 And it was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers,
Heh ih “mina loong asuh hoondak lakkot” ah korumta; heh ih mararah ah kaamwah angthuk suh kheeta, mararah ah khowah angthuk suh kheeta, mararah ah ewangelis angthuk suh, maramarah ah pastor nyia nyootte angthuk suh khe rumta.
12 to equip the saints for works of ministry and to build up the body of Christ,
Erah langla, Rangte mina loong ah Kristaan mootkaat kaat thuk suh khe rumta, Kristo sakpuh chaas ah hakthuk suh ah.
13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, as we mature to the full measure of the stature of Christ.
Eno seng loongtang seng tuumaang nyia Rangte Sah men jat hi jun ih esiit ih hoontheng; seng loong ah Kristo angla likhiik maang mi langlang mihak thungsek ih hoontheng.
14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed about by the waves and carried around by every wind of teaching and by the clever cunning of men in their deceitful scheming.
Erah thoidoh seng noodek likhiik lakah ang theng, mih mokwaante loong ih nyootsoot ha tiit ah chaat eno juutak ih haangko lengmotmot kah eh ah likhiik ah, erah loong ah ih bah neng tenthun ni tiim thunha erah di moong mokwaan kaatla.
15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Christ Himself, who is the head.
Erah nang ebah, moongnook tiitwaan nyia chiiala amiisak tiit ah roongwaan ih no, Kristo ih siit hali lam adoh haktheng, seng lamsiitte ah heh juuba.
16 From Him the whole body, fitted and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love through the work of each individual part.
Sak asi ni hephaan dowa lak alah adoleh tui akhoh jirep ah heh ih panha jun eroom ih roong roopla, eno sakpuh putang adi hethah hethah ah rooptoom ano esiit ih hoonla. Erah thoidi, sakpuh ni hethah hethah mathan ah erah loong ah o mamah reetheng ah, erah likhiik mokah rum ano minchanmui jun ih sakpuh ah ehak ela.
17 So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking.
Erah raang ih, Teesu mendi ngah ih sen suh dangdang ih baat rumhala: Rangmen lajatte loong likhiik lakah songtong theng, neng loong abah neng tenthun ah thaangmuh
18 They are darkened in their understanding and alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardness of their hearts.
nyia neng thung ah laamang ni. Erah loong abah Rangte ih koha roidong adi amuh, tiimnge liidi neng loong ah lajatte nyia neng tenthun ah jong ajaan tenthun.
19 Having lost all sense of shame, they have given themselves over to sensuality for the practice of every kind of impurity, with a craving for more.
Neng loong ah rakrek tenthun takah jeeka; eno neng roidong ah tiimthan ethih ekhah jeela erah di maakkaat rumla.
20 But this is not the way you came to know Christ.
Kristo jiin nawa nyootsoot tan ah emah tah angka!
21 Surely you heard of Him and were taught in Him—in keeping with the truth that is in Jesus—
Sen ih Jisu tiit japchaat etan, eno heliphante ang anno Jisu jiin dowa amiisak ah nyootsoot etan.
22 to put off your former way of life, your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;
Erah raangtaan ih, sen roidong ehak ah ehaat ih an—sen roidong ehak ah ebah hansi ramka ni songtong thuk tahan.
23 to be renewed in the spirit of your minds;
Sen tenthun mongtham ah ena jaatjaat ang theng,
24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
eno roidong ena ah kaptheng, erah roidong Rangte likhiik ih dongta, eno heheh ih ami tiit nyia esa ah dongjat thuk ha.
25 Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor, for we are all members of one another.
Erah raangtaan ih tiit hu nakkah baat theng! Hanpiite wahoh damdoh amiisak tiit baat theng, tiimnge liidoh seng loong ah Jisu sakpuh ni esiit ih hoonli.
26 “Be angry, yet do not sin.” Do not let the sun set upon your anger,
Sen ten khah anbah uh, rangdah nah naktoom dat hoom han, eno henih nitang uh ten lakhat theng.
27 and do not give the devil a foothold.
Hakhoh Luuwang ah naknop thuk an.
28 He who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing good with his own hands, that he may have something to share with the one in need.
Miputte angtan bah, mih put ah toihaat anno mootkaat thong mokah an, phanjangjang toom songtong an nyia changthih noodek toom jen chosok an.
29 Let no unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building up the one in need and bringing grace to those who listen.
Jengkhaap thih nakjeng an, erah nang ebah mih ih nookchaat theng jengkong an, mina tiimdi thoomramla eradoh senjeng senkong ah chaat hanno heh tarong theng toom ang ah.
30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
Rangte Esa Chiiala ah nak thungthet thuk an; tiimnge liidi Rangte ah sen changte ngeh ih Chiiala ah changte wah sin, adoleh Rangte ih maama pongwan angthuk suh rangwu saakaan ah ethok jaatjaat ih thuk ha ngeh ih kamkam angtheng sin hoonha.
31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, outcry and slander, along with every form of malice.
Ethih ekhah loong nawa, hansi ramka nawa, nyia tenkhat nawa haloh ang an. Sen jaachi nah lakah liilaangmui theng adoleh kaanjuumui theng adoleh lakah chiik haatmui theng.
32 Be kind and tenderhearted to one another, forgiving each other just as in Christ God forgave you.
Erah nang ebah, wasiit ih wasiit minchan muite nyia Kristo jun ih Rangte ih biin anaan hoon hali ah likhiik ih wasiit ih wasiit biin anaan jen hoonte ang theng.
