Deuteronomy 30
1 “When all these things come upon you—the blessings and curses I have set before you—and you call them to mind in all the nations to which the LORD your God has banished you,
Ahora, cuando todas estas cosas han venido sobre ustedes, la bendición y la maldición que he puesto delante de ustedes, si meditan sobre ellas en su mente, cuando estén viviendo entre las naciones donde el Señor su Dios los envió.
2 and when you and your children return to the LORD your God and obey His voice with all your heart and all your soul according to everything I am giving you today,
Y sus corazones se vuelven nuevamente al Señor tu Dios, y obedecen su palabra que hoy les doy, tú y tus hijos, con todo tu corazón y con toda tu alma.
3 then He will restore you from captivity and have compassion on you and gather you from all the nations to which the LORD your God has scattered you.
Entonces el Señor tendrá compasión de ustedes, cambiará su destino y los reunirá de entre todas las naciones a las que los obligó a ir.
4 Even if you have been banished to the farthest horizon, He will gather you and return you from there.
Incluso si los que han sido expulsados viven en la parte más lejana del mundo, el Señor tu Dios irá a buscarlos y los hará volver de nuevo;
5 And the LORD your God will bring you into the land your fathers possessed, and you will take possession of it. He will cause you to prosper and multiply more than your fathers.
Colocándolos de nuevo en la tierra de tus padres como tu herencia; y los hará prosperar, y los aumentará hasta que seas más numeroso que tus antepasados.
6 The LORD your God will circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your descendants, and you will love Him with all your heart and with all your soul, so that you may live.
Y el Señor tu Dios te dará a ti y a tu descendencia una circuncisión del corazón, para que, amándolo con todo tu corazón y toda tu alma, y fin de que vivas.
7 Then the LORD your God will put all these curses upon your enemies who hate you and persecute you.
Y el Señor tu Dios pondrá todas estas maldiciones sobre los que están contra ti, y sobre tus enemigos que te odian y persiguen.
8 And you will again obey the voice of the LORD and follow all His commandments I am giving you today.
Y volverán a obedecer la voz del Señor, y cumplirán todas las órdenes que les he dado hoy.
9 So the LORD your God will make you abound in all the work of your hands and in the fruit of your womb, the offspring of your livestock, and the produce of your land. Indeed, the LORD will again delight in your goodness, as He delighted in that of your fathers,
Y el Señor tu Dios te hará prosperar en todo lo que hagas, bendiciendo la obra de tus manos y el fruto de tu cuerpo, y el fruto de tu ganado, y el fruto de tu tierra para bien: porque el Señor se volverá a gozar para bien en ustedes, como él se gozó en tus padres.
10 if you obey the LORD your God by keeping His commandments and statutes that are written in this Book of the Law, and if you turn to Him with all your heart and with all your soul.
Si obedecen la voz del Señor tu Dios, guardando sus mandamientos las leyes que están registradas en este libro de la ley, y se vuelvan al Señor tu Dios con todo tu corazón y con toda tu alma.
11 For this commandment I give you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach.
Porque estos mandamientos que les he dado hoy no son extrañas ni secretas, y no están lejos.
12 It is not in heaven, that you should need to ask, ‘Who will ascend into heaven to get it for us and proclaim it, that we may obey it?’
No están en el cielo, para que ustedes digan: ¿Quién subirá al cielo por nosotros, nos lo traiga y lo escuchemos para que podamos hacerlo?
13 And it is not beyond the sea, that you should need to ask, ‘Who will cross the sea to get it for us and proclaim it, that we may obey it?’
Y no están al otro lado del mar, para que ustedes digan: ¿Quién pasará el mar por nosotros y nos dará noticias de ellos para que los hagamos?
14 But the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart, so that you may obey it.
Pero la palabra está muy cerca de ustedes, en su boca y en su corazón, para que puedan hacerlo.
15 See, I have set before you today life and goodness, as well as death and disaster.
Mira, hoy te he dado a elegir entre la vida y el bien, la muerte y el mal;
16 For I am commanding you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, statutes, and ordinances, so that you may live and increase, and the LORD your God may bless you in the land that you are entering to possess.
Te ordeno hoy de tener amor por el Señor tu Dios, ir por sus caminos y guardar sus leyes y sus mandamientos, sus decisiones, para que puedan tener vida y ser multiplicados, y te bendecirá el Señor tu Dios en la tierra donde van a tomar posesión, la tierra de tu herencia.
17 But if your heart turns away and you do not listen, but are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them,
Pero si tu corazón se apartará y tu oído se cierra, y van tras los que los harían siervos y adoradores de otros dioses.
18 I declare to you today that you will surely perish; you shall not prolong your days in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess.
Este día atestiguo contra ti que la destrucción será sin duda tu destino, y tus días se verán reducidos en la tierra a la que van, la tierra de tu herencia al otro lado del Jordán.
19 I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore choose life, so that you and your descendants may live,
El cielo y la tierra sean mis testigos contra ustedes en este día que te he dado a elegir entre la vida y la muerte, la bendición y la maldición: así que escojan la vida para ustedes mismos y para su descendencia.
20 and that you may love the LORD your God, obey Him, and hold fast to Him. For He is your life, and He will prolong your life in the land that the LORD swore to give to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”
Al amar al Señor su Dios, escuchan su voz y sean fieles, porque él es su vida y por él serán largos sus días: para que puedan continuar viviendo en la tierra que el Señor dio por Juramento a tus antepasados, Abraham, Isaac y Jacob.
