Deuteronomy 27

1 Then Moses and the elders of Israel commanded the people: “Keep all the commandments I am giving you today.

Wtedy Mojżesz i starsi Izraela nakazali ludowi: Przestrzegajcie wszystkich przykazań, które wam dziś nakazuję.

2 And on the day you cross the Jordan into the land that the LORD your God is giving you, set up large stones and coat them with plaster.

A w dniu, w którym przeprawicie się przez Jordan do ziemi, którą daje ci PAN, twój Bóg, ustawisz sobie wielkie kamienie i pobielisz je wapnem.

3 Write on them all the words of this law when you have crossed over to enter the land that the LORD your God is giving you, a land flowing with milk and honey, just as the LORD, the God of your fathers, has promised you.

I wypiszesz na nich wszystkie słowa tego prawa, gdy tylko przeprawisz się, abyś wszedł do ziemi, którą daje ci PAN, twój Bóg, do ziemi mlekiem i miodem płynącej, jak ci obiecał PAN, Bóg twoich ojców.

4 And when you have crossed the Jordan, you are to set up these stones on Mount Ebal, as I am commanding you today, and you are to coat them with plaster.

Gdy więc przeprawicie się przez Jordan, ustawicie te kamienie, o których wam dziś nakazuję, na górze Ebal, i pobielisz je wapnem.

5 Moreover, you are to build there an altar to the LORD your God, an altar of stones. You must not use any iron tool on them.

Tam też zbudujesz ołtarz PANU, swemu Bogu, ołtarz z kamieni. Nie będziesz ich ciosał narzędziem z żelaza.

6 You shall build the altar of the LORD your God with uncut stones and offer upon it burnt offerings to the LORD your God.

Z kamieni nieciosanych zbudujesz ołtarz PANU, swemu Bogu, i na nim będziesz składał całopalenia PANU, swemu Bogu.

7 There you are to sacrifice your peace offerings, eating them and rejoicing in the presence of the LORD your God.

Złożysz też ofiary pojednawcze i będziesz tam jadł, i radował się przed PANEM, swoim Bogiem;

8 And you shall write distinctly upon these stones all the words of this law.”

I na tych kamieniach bardzo wyraźnie wypiszesz wszystkie słowa tego prawa.

9 Then Moses and the Levitical priests spoke to all Israel: “Be silent, O Israel, and listen! This day you have become the people of the LORD your God.

Potem Mojżesz i kapłani Lewici powiedzieli do całego Izraela: Milcz i słuchaj, Izraelu. Dziś stałeś się ludem PANA, swego Boga.

10 You shall therefore obey the voice of the LORD your God and follow His commandments and statutes I am giving you today.”

Będziesz więc słuchał głosu PANA, swego Boga, i będziesz wypełniał jego przykazania i ustawy, które dziś ci nakazuję.

11 On that day Moses commanded the people:

W tym samym dniu Mojżesz nakazał ludowi:

12 “When you have crossed the Jordan, these tribes shall stand on Mount Gerizim to bless the people: Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Joseph, and Benjamin.

Oto ci, którzy staną, by błogosławić lud na górze Gerizim, gdy przeprawicie się przez Jordan: Symeon, Lewi, Juda, Issachar, Józef i Beniamin.

13 And these tribes shall stand on Mount Ebal to deliver the curse: Reuben, Gad, Asher, Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.

Oto zaś ci staną na górze Ebal, by przeklinać: Ruben, Gad, Aszer, Zebulon, Dan i Neftali.

14 Then the Levites shall proclaim in a loud voice to every Israelite:

I odezwą się Lewici, i przemówią donośnym głosem do wszystkich mężczyzn Izraela:

15 ‘Cursed is the man who makes a carved idol or molten image—an abomination to the LORD, the work of the hands of a craftsman—and sets it up in secret.’

Przeklęty człowiek, który wykona wyrzeźbiony lub odlewany posąg – obrzydliwość dla PANA, dzieło rąk rzemieślnika, i postawi w ukrytym miejscu. A cały lud odpowie: Amen.

16 ‘Cursed is he who dishonors his father or mother.’

Przeklęty, kto lekceważy swego ojca i swoją matkę. A cały lud powie: Amen.

17 ‘Cursed is he who moves his neighbor’s boundary stone.’

Przeklęty, kto przesuwa granicę swego bliźniego. A cały lud powie: Amen.

18 ‘Cursed is he who lets a blind man wander in the road.’

Przeklęty, kto sprowadza ślepego z drogi, aby błądził. A cały lud powie: Amen.

19 ‘Cursed is he who withholds justice from the foreigner, the fatherless, or the widow.’

Przeklęty, kto nagina sądu przybysza, sieroty i wdowy. A cały lud powie: Amen.

20 ‘Cursed is he who sleeps with his father’s wife, for he has violated his father’s marriage bed.’

Przeklęty, kto obcuje z żoną swego ojca, bo odkrywa brzeg płaszcza swego ojca. A cały lud powie: Amen.

21 ‘Cursed is he who lies with any animal.’

Przeklęty, kto obcuje z jakimkolwiek zwierzęciem. A cały lud powie: Amen.

22 ‘Cursed is he who sleeps with his sister, the daughter of his father or the daughter of his mother.’

Przeklęty, kto obcuje ze swoją siostrą, córką swego ojca lub córką swojej matki. A cały lud powie: Amen.

23 ‘Cursed is he who sleeps with his mother-in-law.’

Przeklęty, kto obcuje ze swoją teściową. A cały lud powie: Amen.

24 ‘Cursed is he who strikes down his neighbor in secret.’

Przeklęty, kto zabija potajemnie swego bliźniego. A cały lud powie: Amen.

25 ‘Cursed is he who accepts a bribe to kill an innocent person.’

Przeklęty, kto przyjmuje dary, by zabić niewinnego człowieka. A cały lud powie: Amen.

26 ‘Cursed is he who does not put the words of this law into practice.’

Przeklęty, kto nie trwa w wypełnianiu słów tego prawa. A cały lud powie: Amen.
