< Amos 7 >

1 This is what the Lord GOD showed me: He was preparing swarms of locusts just after the king’s harvest, as the late spring crop was coming up.
Zao ty natoro’ Iehovà, Talè, ahy, Ingo, namboare’e fifamorohotam-balala te nitovoañe i ampemba afaray, le hehe t’ie nandimbe ty fitataha’ i mpanjakay i tinogy an-doha-taoñey.
2 And when the locusts had eaten every green plant in the land, I said, “Lord GOD, please forgive! How will Jacob survive, since he is so small?”
Aa naho hene nabotse’ iareo ze ahetse amy taney eo, le hoe ty asako tama’e, Ry Iehovà, Talè, ehe apoho; akore ty hahafijohaña’ Iakobe? Ie kede.
3 So the LORD relented from this plan. “It will not happen,” He said.
Aa le napo’ Iehovà; Tsy hanoeñe izay, hoe t’Iehovà.
4 This is what the Lord GOD showed me: The Lord GOD was calling for judgment by fire. It consumed the great deep and devoured the land.
Ie añe le inao ka ty naboa’ Iehovà, Talè: Heheke te kinanji’ Iehovà, Talè ty zaka añ’afo; finorototo’e i laleke beiy vaho namototse nampigodrañe i taney.
5 Then I said, “Lord GOD, please stop! How will Jacob survive, since he is so small?”
Aa le hoe iraho, Ry Iehovà, Talè, Aziro! iambaneako; aia ty hijohaña’ Iakobe, ie kede?
6 So the LORD relented from this plan. “It will not happen either,” said the Lord GOD.
Aa le nado’ Iehovà: Tsy hanoeñe ka izay, hoe t’Iehovà, Talè.
7 This is what He showed me: Behold, the Lord was standing by a wall true to plumb, with a plumb line in His hand.
Zao ka ty natoro’e ahy, ingo te nijohañe ambone kijoly nanoeñe an-tàlin-kahity eo t’i Talè, reketse ty talin-kahity am-pità’e ao.
8 “Amos, what do you see?” asked the LORD. “A plumb line,” I replied. “Behold,” said the Lord, “I am setting a plumb line among My people Israel; I will no longer spare them:
Le hoe t’Iehovà amako, O Amose, ino o isa’oo? Le hoe iraho, Talin-kahity. Aa hoe t’i Talè; Hehe, hapoko añivo’ ondatiko Israeleo ty talin-kahitiko; tsy hiheveako ka.
9 The high places of Isaac will be deserted, and the sanctuaries of Israel will be laid waste; and I will rise up against the house of Jeroboam with My sword.”
Ho koake o toets’ abo’ Ietsakeo, naho hanoeñe bijon-draha o toe’ Israele miambakeo; vaho hitroatse amy anjomba’ Ieroboame iraho reketse fibara.
10 Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent word to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, “Amos has conspired against you in the midst of the house of Israel. The land cannot bear all his words,
Nampañitrik’ am’ Ieroboame mpanjaka’ Israele t’i Amatsià mpisoro’ i Betele, nanao ty hoe, Nikinia azo t’i Amose añ’ anjomba’ Israele ao; tsy leo’ o taneo ze fonga saontsi’e.
11 for this is what Amos has said: ‘Jeroboam will die by the sword, and Israel will surely go into exile, away from their homeland.’”
Fa hoe ty asa’ i Amose, Inao, hampihomahem-pibara t’Ieroboame, vaho tsy mete tsy hasese mb’am-pandrohizañ’ añe boak’ an-tane’e ao t’Israele.
12 And Amaziah said to Amos, “Go away, you seer! Flee to the land of Judah; earn your bread there and do your prophesying there.
Aa le hoe t’i Amatsià amy Amose, Ry mpioniñeo, akia, mitribaña an-day mb’an-tane’ Iehoda mb’eo, le kamao añe o mahakama’oo, vaho añe ty itokia’o,
13 But never prophesy at Bethel again, because it is the sanctuary of the king and the temple of the kingdom.”
fa ko mitoky ka e Betele ao, amy t’ie ty toe-masi’ i mpanjakay vaho rova-bei’ ty fifeheañe toy.
14 “I was not a prophet,” Amos replied, “nor was I the son of a prophet; rather, I was a herdsman and a tender of sycamore-fig trees.
Aa le hoe ty natoi’ i Amose amy Amatsià, Izaho tsy mpitoky, tsy anam-pitoky, fa mpihare naho mpañalahala sakoa;
15 But the LORD took me from following the flock and said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to My people Israel.’
vaho rinambe’ Iehovà ami’ty fañarahañe i lia-raikey, le hoe t’Iehovà amako, Akia, mitokia am’ ondatiko Israeleo.
16 Now, therefore, hear the word of the LORD. You say: ‘Do not prophesy against Israel; do not preach against the house of Isaac.’
Janjiño arè ty tsara’ Iehovà: Hoe ty asa’o: Ko mitoky am’ Israele vaho ko mampipoke saontsy amy anjomba’ Ietsakey.
17 Therefore this is what the LORD says: ‘Your wife will become a prostitute in the city, and your sons and daughters will fall by the sword. Your land will be divided by a measuring line, and you yourself will die on pagan soil. And Israel will surely go into exile, away from their homeland.’”
Aa le hoe ty nitsarà’ Iehovà; Ho tsimirira an-drova ao ty vali’o, naho hampikorovohem-pibara o ana-dahi’oo naho o anak-ampela’oo, naho ho zarazaraeñe ty tane’o; naho hikoromak’ an-tane tiva eo irehe; toe hasese mb’am-pandrohizañ’ añe boak’an-tane’e ao t’Israele.
