Amos 6
1 Woe to those at ease in Zion and those secure on Mount Samaria, the distinguished ones of the foremost nation, to whom the house of Israel comes.
ಚೀಯೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಯಾಗಿರುವವರಿಗೂ, ಸಮಾರ್ಯ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಭದ್ರವಾಗಿರುವವರಿಗೂ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮನೆತನದವರು ಯಾರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತಾರೋ, ಆ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಜನಾಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಸರುಗೊಂಡವರಿಗೂ ಕಷ್ಟ!
2 Cross over to Calneh and see; go from there to the great Hamath; then go down to Gath of the Philistines. Are you better than these kingdoms? Is their territory larger than yours?
ಕಲ್ನೇ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ನೋಡಿರಿ. ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಮಹಾ ಪಟ್ಟಣವಾದ ಹಮಾತಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿರಿ. ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಗತ್ ಊರಿಗೆ ಇಳಿಯಿರಿ. ಅವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಎರಡು ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವೋ? ಅವುಗಳ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯಕ್ಕಿಂತ ದೊಡ್ಡದೋ?
3 You dismiss the day of calamity and bring near a reign of violence.
ನೀವು ಕೆಟ್ಟ ದಿವಸವನ್ನು ದೂರಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು, ಭಯಂಕರ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿರ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೀರಿ.
4 You lie on beds inlaid with ivory, and lounge upon your couches. You dine on lambs from the flock and calves from the stall.
ದಂತದ ಮಂಚಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಲಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೀರಿ. ತಮ್ಮ ಹಾಸಿಗೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಯಾಗಿ ಒರಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೀರಿ. ಮಂದೆಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಕುರಿಮರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಹಟ್ಟಿಯ ಮಂದೆಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಕರುಗಳನ್ನೂ ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತೀರಿ.
5 You improvise songs on the harp like David and invent your own musical instruments.
ವೀಣೆಯ ಸ್ವರಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಡುತ್ತೀರಿ, ದಾವೀದನ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿಮಗೆ ನೀವೇ ಗಾನವಾದ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೀರಿ.
6 You drink wine by the bowlful and anoint yourselves with the finest oils, but you fail to grieve over the ruin of Joseph.
ನೀವು ತುಂಬಿದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯುತ್ತೀರಿ, ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾದ ಎಣ್ಣೆಗಳಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಅಭಿಷೇಕಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೀರಿ. ಆದರೆ ಯೋಸೇಫನ ನಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ವ್ಯಸನ ಪಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
7 Therefore, you will now go into exile as the first of the captives, and your feasting and lounging will come to an end.
ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಸೆರೆಗೆ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ಯುವವರಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಮೊದಲಿಗರಾಗಿರುವಿರಿ, ಭೋಗ ಮಾಡುವವರ ಹರ್ಷ ಧ್ವನಿಯು ಗತಿಸಿ ಹೋಗುವುದು.
8 The Lord GOD has sworn by Himself—the LORD, the God of Hosts, has declared: “I abhor Jacob’s pride and detest his citadels, so I will deliver up the city and everything in it.”
ಸಾರ್ವಭೌಮ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಣೆಯಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ: ನಾನು ಯಾಕೋಬಿನ ಅಹಂಕಾರವನ್ನು ಅಸಹ್ಯಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ಅವನ ಅರಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಆದಕಾರಣ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನೂ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸಮಸ್ತವನ್ನೂ ನಾನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ಬಿಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.
9 And if there are ten men left in one house, they too will die.
ಒಂದು ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹತ್ತು ಜನರು ಉಳಿದರೆ, ಅವರು ಸಾಯುವರು.
10 And when the relative who is to burn the bodies picks them up to remove them from the house, he will call to one inside, “Is anyone else with you?” “None,” that person will answer. “Silence,” the relative will retort, “for the name of the LORD must not be invoked.”
ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಬಂಧಿಯೊಬ್ಬರು ಮೃತ ದೇಹಗಳನ್ನು ಸುಡಲು ಆ ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ಹೊರತೆಗೆಯಲು ಬಂದಾಗ ಮತ್ತು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅಡಗಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು, “ನಿಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬೇರೆ ಯಾರಾದರೂ ಇದ್ದಾರೆಯೇ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು ಅವನು ಇಲ್ಲ ಎನ್ನುವನು. ಆಗ ಆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಕನು, “ಮೌನದಿಂದಿರು! ನಾವು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು.”
11 For the LORD gives a command: “The great house will be smashed to pieces, and the small house to rubble.”
ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಆತನು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಸೀಳುಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿರುಕುಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಹೊಡೆಯುವನು.
12 “Do horses gallop on the cliffs? Does one plow the sea with oxen? But you have turned justice into poison and the fruit of righteousness into wormwood—
ಕುದುರೆಗಳು ಬಂಡೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಓಡುವುದುಂಟೇ? ಎತ್ತುಗಳಿಂದ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳುವನೋ? ನಿಮ್ಮ ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ವಿಷವನ್ನಾಗಿ, ನೀತಿ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕಹಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಿದ್ದೀರಿ.
13 you who rejoice in Lo-debar and say, ‘Did we not take Karnaim by our own strength?’
ಏನೂ ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತೋಷ ಪಡುವವರೇ, ನೀವು ಹೆಚ್ಚಳ ಪಡುವುದು ಶೂನ್ಯವಾಗಿರುವುದರಲ್ಲಿಯೇ? “ಸ್ವಬಲದಿಂದ ಕೊಂಬುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡಿಲ್ಲವೇ?” ಅಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೀರಿ.
14 For behold, I will raise up a nation against you, O house of Israel,” declares the LORD, the God of Hosts, “and they will oppress you from Lebo-hamath to the Brook of the Arabah.”
ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ: ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮನೆತನದವರೇ, ಜನಾಂಗವನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸುವೆನು. ಲೆಬೊ ಹಮಾತಿನ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಿಂದ ಅರಾಬಾ ತಗ್ಗಿನ ನದಿಯವರೆಗೂ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹಿಂಸಿಸುವರು.
