Amos 1
1 These are the words of Amos, who was among the sheepherders of Tekoa—what he saw concerning Israel two years before the earthquake, in the days when Uzziah was king of Judah and Jeroboam son of Jehoash was king of Israel.
| هَذِهِ كَلِمَاتُ عَامُوسَ الَّذِي كَانَ رَاعِياً مِنْ رُعَاةِ تَقُوعَ، يُنْبِئُ فِيهَا بِمَا رَآهُ بِشَأْنِ إِسْرَائِيلَ فِي أَيَّامِ عُزِّيَّا مَلِكِ يَهُوذَا، وَفِي أَيَّامِ يَرُبْعَامَ بْنِ يُوآشَ مَلِكِ إِسْرَائِيلَ، قَبْلَ وُقُوعِ الزَّلْزَلَةِ بِسَنَتَيْنِ. | ١ |
2 He said: “The LORD roars from Zion and raises His voice from Jerusalem; the pastures of the shepherds mourn, and the summit of Carmel withers.”
| قَالَ: «يَزْأَرُ الرَّبُّ مِنْ صِهْيَوْنَ وَيُدَوِّي بِصَوْتِهِ مِنْ أُورُشَلِيمَ، فَتَنْتَحِبُ مَرَاعِي الرُّعَاةِ، وَتَذْوِي قِمَّةُ الْكَرْمَلِ. | ٢ |
3 This is what the LORD says: “For three transgressions of Damascus, even four, I will not revoke My judgment, because they threshed Gilead with sledges of iron.
| هَذَا مَا يَقُولُهُ الرَّبُّ: مِنْ أَجْلِ مَعَاصِي دِمَشْقَ الثَّلاثِ وَالأَرْبَعِ لَنْ أَرُدَّ عَنْهَا سَخَطِي، لأَنَّ أَهْلَهَا قَدْ دَاسُوا شَعْبِي فِي جِلْعَادَ بِنَوَارِجَ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ. | ٣ |
4 So I will send fire upon the house of Hazael to consume the citadels of Ben-hadad.
| لِذَلِكَ أُرْسِلُ نَاراً عَلَى بَيْتِ حَزَائِيلَ فَتَلْتَهِمُ حُصُونَ بَنْهَدَدَ. | ٤ |
5 I will break down the gates of Damascus; I will cut off the ruler of the Valley of Aven and the one who wields the scepter in Beth-eden. The people of Aram will be exiled to Kir,”
| وَأُحَطِّمُ مِزْلاجَ دِمَشْقَ وَأَسْتَأْصِلُ أَهْلَ وَادِي آوَنَ، وَأُهْلِكُ حَامِلَ صَوْلَجَانِ مُلْكِ بَيْتِ عَدْنٍ، وَيُسَاقُ شَعْبُ أَرَامَ إِلَى السَّبْيِ إِلَى أَرْضِ قِيرَ. | ٥ |
6 This is what the LORD says: “For three transgressions of Gaza, even four, I will not revoke My judgment, because they exiled a whole population, delivering them up to Edom.
| هَذَا مَا يَقُولُهُ الرَّبُّ: مِنْ أَجْلِ مَعَاصِي غَزَّةَ الثَّلاثِ وَالأَرْبَعِ لَنْ أَرُدَّ عَنْهَا سَخَطِي، لأَنَّ أَهْلَهَا نَفَوْا شَعْباً عَنْ آخِرِهِ لِيُسَلِّمُوهُ إِلَى أَدُومَ. | ٦ |
7 So I will send fire upon the walls of Gaza, to consume its citadels.
| لِذَلِكَ سَأُرْسِلُ نَاراً عَلَى أَسْوَارِ غَزَّةَ تَلْتَهِمُ حُصُونَهَا. | ٧ |
8 I will cut off the ruler of Ashdod and the one who wields the scepter in Ashkelon. I will turn My hand against Ekron, and the remnant of the Philistines will perish,”
| وَأَسْتَأْصِلُ أَهْلَ أَشْدُودَ، وَأُهْلِكُ حَامِلَ صَوْلَجَانِ مُلْكِ أَشْقَلُونَ، وَأُوَجِّهُ ضَرَبَاتِي ضِدَّ عَقْرُونَ فَيَفْنَى مَنْ بَقِيَ مِنَ الْفِلِسْطِينِيِّينَ. | ٨ |
9 This is what the LORD says: “For three transgressions of Tyre, even four, I will not revoke My judgment, because they delivered up a whole congregation of exiles to Edom and broke a covenant of brotherhood.
| هَذَا مَا يَقُولُهُ الرَّبُّ: مِنْ أَجْلِ مَعَاصِي صُورَ الثَّلاثِ وَالأَرْبَعِ لَنْ أَرُدَّ عَنْهَا سَخَطِي، لأَنَّ أَهْلَهَا سَلَّمُوا شَعْباً بِكَامِلِهِ إِلَى أَدُومَ، وَنَقَضُوا عَهْدَ الإِخْوَةِ. | ٩ |
10 So I will send fire upon the walls of Tyre to consume its citadels.”
| لِهَذَا أُرْسِلُ نَاراً عَلَى أَسْوَارِ صُورَ فَتَلْتَهِمُ حُصُونَهَا. | ١٠ |
11 This is what the LORD says: “For three transgressions of Edom, even four, I will not revoke My judgment, because he pursued his brother with the sword and stifled all compassion; his anger raged continually, and his fury flamed incessantly.
| وَهَذَا مَا يَقُولُهُ الرَّبُّ: مِنْ أَجْلِ مَعَاصِي أَدُومَ الثَّلاثِ وَالأَرْبَعِ لَنْ أَرُدَّ عَنْهُمْ سَخَطِي، لأَنَّهُمْ تَعَقَّبُوا إِخْوَتَهُمْ بِالسَّيْفِ، وَتَغَاضَوْا عَنْ كُلِّ رَحْمَةٍ، وَجَعَلُوا غَضَبَهُمْ يَتَأَجَّجُ مُلْتَهِماً بِاسْتِمْرَارٍ، وَظَلُّوا حَاقِدِينَ عَلَى الدَّوَامِ. | ١١ |
12 So I will send fire upon Teman to consume the citadels of Bozrah.”
| فَأُرْسِلُ نَاراً عَلَى تَيْمَانَ، فَتَلْتَهِمُ حُصُونَ بُصْرَةَ. | ١٢ |
13 This is what the LORD says: “For three transgressions of the Ammonites, even four, I will not revoke My judgment, because they ripped open the pregnant women of Gilead in order to enlarge their territory.
| هَذَا مَا يَقُولُهُ الرَّبُّ: مِنْ أَجْلِ مَعَاصِي الْعَمُّونِيِّينَ الثَّلاثِ وَالأَرْبَعِ لَنْ أَرُدَّ عَنْهُمْ سَخَطِي، لأَنَّهُمْ شَقُّوا بُطُونَ الْحَوَامِلِ فِي جِلْعَادَ لِيُوَسِّعُوا تُخُمَهُمْ. | ١٣ |
14 So I will kindle a fire in the walls of Rabbah to consume its citadels amid war cries on the day of battle and a violent wind on the day of tempest.
| لِهَذَا أُضْرِمُ نَاراً فِي سُورِ رَبَّةَ فَتَلْتَهِمُ حُصُونَهَا فِي مُعْتَرَكِ جَلَبَةِ يَوْمِ الْحَرْبِ، وَفِي وَسَطِ عَاصِفَةٍ فِي يَوْمِ الزَّوْبَعَةِ. | ١٤ |
15 Their king will go into exile — he and his princes together,”
| وَيُسَاقُ مَلِكُهُمْ إِلَى السَّبْيِ مَعَ سَائِرِ رُؤَسَائِهِ يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ. | ١٥ |
