3 So all the elders of Israel came to the king at Hebron, where King David made with them a covenant before the LORD. And they anointed him king over Israel.
Mgbe ndị okenye Izrel niile bịakwutere Devid na Hebrọn, ha na eze Devid gbara ndụ nʼihu Onyenwe anyị na Hebrọn. Ha tere Devid mmanụ ịbụ eze Izrel.

Nʼụbọchị ahụ, Devid kwuru sị, “Onye ọbụla ga-emeri ndị Jebus ga-esite nʼọnụ warawara ebe mmiri si abanye nʼobodo a banyekwuru ndị ngwụrọ na ndị ìsì a bụ ndị iro Devid.” Ọ bụ nke a mere ha ji ekwu okwu sị, “Ndị ìsì na ndị ngwụrọ agaghị abata nʼụlọeze ahụ.”

Nʼihi nke a, Devid jụrụ Onyenwe anyị ase, ọ zara sị, “Esitekwala nʼihu ha gaa, kama gaa gburugburu ruo nʼazụ ha, buso ha agha na ncherita ihu osisi balsam ndị ahụ.
24 As soon as you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the balsam trees, move quickly, because this will mean that the LORD has marched out before you to strike the camp of the Philistines.”
