2 Samuel 11
1 In the spring, at the time when kings march out to war, David sent out Joab and his servants with the whole army of Israel. They destroyed the Ammonites and besieged Rabbah, but David remained in Jerusalem.
၁ထိုနှစ်နွေဦးပေါက်၍ ဘုရင်တို့စစ်တိုက် ထွက်လေ့ရှိသည့်အချိန်ရောက်သောအခါ ဒါဝိဒ်သည်ယွာဘအားသူ၏တပ်မှူးများ နှင့်ဣသရေလတပ်မတော်ကိုစေလွှတ်ရာ သူတို့သည်အမ္မုန်ပြည်သားတို့ကိုနှိမ်နင်း၍ ရဗ္ဗာမြို့ကိုဝိုင်းထားကြ၏။ ဒါဝိဒ်မူကား ယေရုရှလင်မြို့တွင်နေရစ်သတည်း။
2 One evening David got up from his bed and strolled around on the roof of the palace. And from the roof he saw a woman bathing—a very beautiful woman.
၂တစ်နေ့သ၌ညနေခင်းအချိန်တွင်ဒါဝိဒ် သည်အိပ်စက်နားနေရာမှနိုးထ၍ နန်းတော် အမိုးပေါ်သို့တက်ပြီးလျှင်စင်္ကြံလျှောက်နေ စဉ် ရှုချင်ဖွယ်အဆင်းလှသောအမျိုးသမီး တစ်ယောက်ရေချိုးနေသည်ကိုမြင်တော်မူ၏။-
3 So David sent and inquired about the woman, and he was told, “This is Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam and the wife of Uriah the Hittite.”
၃သို့ဖြစ်၍ဒါဝိဒ်သည်လူလွှတ်၍မည်သူဖြစ် ကြောင်းစုံစမ်းစေရာဧလျံ၏သမီး၊ ဟိတ္တိ အမျိုးသားဥရိယ၏ဇနီးဗာသရှေဘ ဖြစ်ကြောင်းကိုသိရှိတော်မူရ၏။-
4 Then David sent messengers to get her, and when she came to him, he slept with her. (Now she had just purified herself from her uncleanness.) Then she returned home.
၄မင်းကြီးသည်လူလွှတ်၍ထိုအမျိုးသမီး အားခေါ်စေပြီးလျှင်သူနှင့်ချစ်တင်းနှီးနှော တော်မူ၏။ (ဗာသရှေဘသည်မိန်းမတို့ဋ္ဌမ္မ တာရာသီပန်းပွင့်မှုကိုသန့်စင်ပြီးစအချိန် ဖြစ်သတည်း) ထိုနောက်ဗာသရှေဘသည် အိမ်သို့ပြန်၏။-
5 And the woman conceived and sent word to David, saying, “I am pregnant.”
၅မိမိ၌ပဋိသန္ဓေရှိနေကြောင်းသိရသော အခါ ဒါဝိဒ်ထံသို့သတင်းပေးပို့လျှောက် ထားလေသည်။
6 At this, David sent orders to Joab: “Send me Uriah the Hittite.” So Joab sent him to David.
၆ထိုအခါဒါဝိဒ်သည်``ဟိတ္တိအမျိုးသားဥရိယ အားငါ့ထံသို့စေလွှတ်လော့'' ဟုယွာဘထံသို့ လူလွှတ်မှာကြားတော်မူ၏။ သို့ဖြစ်၍ယွာဘ သည်ဥရိယအားဒါဝိဒ်ထံသို့စေလွှတ်လိုက် လေသည်။-
7 When Uriah came to him, David asked how Joab and the troops were doing with the war.
၇ဥရိယရောက်ရှိလာသောအခါဒါဝိဒ်သည် ယွာဘ နှင့်စစ်သည်တော်များ၏ကျန်းမာရေးနှင့်စစ်ပွဲ အခြေအနေကိုစုံစမ်းမေးမြန်းတော်မူ၏။-
8 Then he said to Uriah, “Go down to your house and wash your feet.” So Uriah left the palace, and a gift from the king followed him.
၈ထိုနောက်မင်းကြီးသည်ဥရိယအား``အိမ်သို့ ပြန်၍ခေတ္တနားနေလော့'' ဟုဆို၏။ ဥရိယ ထွက်ခွာသွားသောအခါ ဒါဝိဒ်သည်သူ၏ အိမ်သို့လက်ဆောင်တစ်ခုပေးပို့လိုက်၏။-
9 But Uriah slept at the door of the palace with all his master’s servants; he did not go down to his house.
၉သို့ရာတွင်ဥရိယသည်အိမ်သို့မပြန်ဘဲ အစောင့်တပ်သားများနှင့်အတူနန်းတော် တံခါးဝ၌အိပ်လေသည်။-
10 And David was told, “Uriah did not go home.” “Haven’t you just arrived from a journey?” David asked Uriah. “Why didn’t you go home?”
၁၀ဤသို့ဥရိယအိမ်မပြန်ဘဲနေခဲ့ကြောင်း ကိုဒါဝိဒ်ကြားသိသောအခါသူ့အား``သင် သည်ခရီးဝေးမှယခုပင်ပြန်လည်ရောက် ရှိလာသည်ဖြစ်ပါလျက် အဘယ်ကြောင့် အိမ်သို့မပြန်ဘဲနေပါသနည်း'' ဟုမေး တော်မူ၏။
11 Uriah answered, “The ark and Israel and Judah are dwelling in tents, and my master Joab and his soldiers are camped in the open field. How can I go to my house to eat and drink and sleep with my wife? As surely as you live, and as your soul lives, I will not do such a thing!”
၁၁ဥရိယက``ဣသရေလပြည်သားနှင့်ယုဒ ပြည်သားတို့သည် ရပ်ဝေးတွင်စစ်တိုက်လျက် ရှိနေကြပါသည်။ ပဋိညာဉ်သေတ္တာတော်သည် လည်းသူတို့နှင့်အတူရှိပါ၏။ အကျွန်ုပ်၏ ဗိုလ်ချုပ်ယွာဘနှင့်တပ်မှူးများသည်လည်း ကွင်းပြင်ထဲတွင်တပ်စခန်းချလျက်နေရ ကြပါ၏။ အဘယ်သို့လျှင်အကျွန်ုပ်သည် အိမ်သို့ပြန်၍စားသောက်ကာမယားနှင့် ပျော်မွေ့နိုင်ပါမည်နည်း။ အကျွန်ုပ်သည် ထိုသို့မပြုနိုင်ကြောင်းကျိန်ဆိုပါ၏'' ဟုလျှောက်၏။
12 “Stay here one more day,” David said to Uriah, “and tomorrow I will send you back.” So Uriah stayed in Jerusalem that day and the next.
၁၂ထို့ကြောင့်ဒါဝိဒ်က``သို့ဖြစ်လျှင်ဤအရပ်တွင် ပင်ယနေ့နားနေလော့။ နက်ဖြန်သင့်အားပြန်၍ လွှတ်မည်'' ဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၏။ ထို့ကြောင့်ဥရိယ သည်ထိုနေ့နှင့်နောက်တစ်နေ့ယေရုရှလင် မြို့တွင်နေလေသည်။-
13 Then David invited Uriah to eat and drink with him, and he got Uriah drunk. And in the evening Uriah went out to lie down on his cot with his master’s servants, but he did not go home.
၁၃ဒါဝိဒ်သည်သူ့အားညစာစားရန်ဖိတ်ခေါ်ပြီး လျှင်ယစ်မူးအောင်သောက်စားစေ၏။ သို့သော် လည်းဥရိယသည်ထိုည၌လည်းအိမ်သို့မ ပြန်ဘဲနန်းတော်အစောင့်တပ်သားများ၏ အခန်းတွင်စောင်ခင်း၍အိပ်လေသည်။
14 The next morning David wrote a letter to Joab and sent it with Uriah.
၁၄နောက်တစ်နေ့၌ဒါဝိဒ်သည်ယွာဘထံသို့ စာတစ်စောင်ရေး၍ဥရိယနှင့်ပေးလိုက်၏။-
15 In the letter he wrote: “Put Uriah at the front of the fiercest battle; then withdraw from him, so that he may be struck down and killed.”
၁၅စာတွင်``တိုက်ပွဲအပြင်းထန်ဆုံးရှေ့တန်းစစ် မျက်နှာသို့ဥရိယအားစေလွှတ်လော့။ ထို နောက်သူအသတ်ခံရစေရန်သင်သည်နောက် သို့ဆုတ်ခွာလာခဲ့လော့'' ဟုပါရှိ၏။-
16 So as Joab besieged the city, he assigned Uriah to a place where he saw the strongest enemy soldiers.
၁၆ထို့ကြောင့်ယွာဘသည်မြို့ကိုမိမိဝိုင်းရံ လျက်နေစဉ် ဥရိယအားရန်သူအင်အား ကြီးမားသည့်စစ်မျက်နှာသို့စေလွှတ်၏။-
17 And when the men of the city came out and fought against Joab, some of David’s servants fell, and Uriah the Hittite also died.
၁၇ရန်သူတပ်သားတို့သည်မြို့ထဲမှထွက်လာ ပြီးနောက် ယွာဘ၏တပ်သားများနှင့်တိုက် ခိုက်ကြရာ ဒါဝိဒ်၏တပ်မှူးအချို့ကျဆုံး သွားကြလေသည်။ ယင်းသို့ကျဆုံးသူတို့ အထဲတွင်ဥရိယလည်းပါ၏။
18 Joab sent to David a full account of the battle
၁၈ထိုနောက်ယွာဘသည်ဒါဝိဒ်ထံသို့တိုက်ပွဲ အကြောင်းအစီရင်ခံစာပေးပို့ကာ၊-
19 and instructed the messenger, “When you have finished giving the king all the details of the battle,
၁၉စေတမန်အား``တိုက်ပွဲအကြောင်းကိုသင် အစီရင်ခံပြီးသောအခါ၊-
20 if the king’s anger flares, he may ask you, ‘Why did you get so close to the city to fight? Did you not realize they would shoot from atop the wall?
၂၀မင်းကြီးသည်အမျက်ထွက်လျက်`သင်တို့သည် ရန်သူကိုတိုက်ခိုက်ရန်အဘယ်ကြောင့်မြို့အနီး သို့ချဉ်းကပ်ကြသနည်း။ မြို့ရိုးများမှနေ၍ ရန်သူတို့သည်မြားများဖြင့်ပစ်ခတ်ကြမည် ကိုမသိကြပါသလော။-
21 Who was the one to strike Abimelech son of Jerubbesheth? Was it not a woman who dropped an upper millstone on him from the wall, so that he died in Thebez? Why did you get so close to the wall?’ If so, then you are to say, ‘Your servant Uriah the Hittite is dead as well.’”
၂၁ဂိဒေါင်၏သားအဘိမလက်သည်အဘယ်သို့ သေရသည်ကိုသင်တို့မမှတ်မိကြသလော။ သေဗက်မြို့တွင်အမျိုးသမီးတစ်ယောက်သည် မြို့ရိုးပေါ်မှကျိတ်ဆုံကျောက်ကိုပစ်ချလိုက် သဖြင့်သူသေခဲ့ရ၏။ သို့ဖြစ်၍သင်တို့သည် အဘယ်ကြောင့်မြို့ရိုးအနီးသို့ချဉ်းကပ်ကြ သနည်း' ဟုမေးတော်မူလိမ့်မည်။ ထိုသို့မင်း ကြီးမေးခဲ့သော်`အရှင့်တပ်မှူးဥရိယသည် လည်းကျဆုံးသွားပါ၏' ဟုပြန်လည်လျှောက် ထားလော့'' ဟုမှာကြားလိုက်လေသည်။
22 So the messenger set out and reported to David all that Joab had sent him to say.
၂၂သို့ဖြစ်၍စေတမန်သည်ဒါဝိဒ်ထံသို့သွား၍ ယွာဘအမိန့်ပေးလိုက်သည့်အတိုင်းလျှောက် ထား၏။-
23 The messenger said to David, “The men overpowered us and came out against us in the field, but we drove them back to the entrance of the gate.
၂၃သူသည်မင်းကြီးအား``ရန်သူတို့သည်အကျွန်ုပ် တို့ထက်အင်အားကြီးမား၍ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့အား တိုက်ခိုက်ရန်မြို့ထဲမှမြို့ပြင်သို့ထွက်လာကြ ပါ၏။ သို့ရာတွင်အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည်သူတို့အား မြို့တံခါးဝသို့ပြန်၍တိုက်ထုတ်လိုက်ကြ ပါ၏။-
24 Then the archers shot at your servants from the wall, and some of the king’s servants were killed. And your servant Uriah the Hittite is dead as well.”
၂၄ထိုအခါသူတို့သည်မြို့ရိုးမှမြားများဖြင့် ပစ်ခတ်ကြရာအရှင်မင်းကြီး၏တပ်မှူးအချို့ ကျဆုံးသွားပါ၏။ အရှင့်တပ်မှူးဥရိယလည်း ကျဆုံးပါ၏'' ဟုလျှောက်လေ၏။
25 Then David told the messenger, “Say this to Joab: ‘Do not let this matter upset you, for the sword devours one as well as another. Strengthen your attack against the city and demolish it.’ Encourage him with these words.”
၂၅မင်းကြီးကစေတမန်အား``စစ်ပွဲတွင်မည်သူ မည်ဝါကျဆုံးမည်ကိုအဘယ်အခါ၌မျှ မပြောနိုင်။ သို့ဖြစ်၍ယွာဘအားစိတ်မပျက် ရန်အားပေးစကားပြောကြားလော့။ မြို့ကို ပိုမိုပြင်းထန်စွာတိုက်စစ်ဆင်၍သိမ်းယူရန် ကိုလည်းပြောလော့''ဟုမှာတော်မူလိုက်၏။
26 When Uriah’s wife heard that her husband was dead, she mourned for him.
၂၆ဗာသရှေဘသည်မိမိ၏ခင်ပွန်းကျဆုံး ကြောင်းကိုကြားသိသောအခါ ငိုကြွေး မြည်တမ်းခြင်းကိုပြု၏။-
27 And when the time of mourning was over, David had her brought to his house, and she became his wife and bore him a son. But the thing that David had done was evil in the sight of the LORD.
၂၇ငိုကြွေးမြည်တမ်းချိန်ကုန်လွန်သောအခါဒါဝိဒ် သည် သူ့အားနန်းတော်သို့ခေါ်စေ၍မိဖုရားမြှောက် ရာသားတော်ကိုဖွားမြင်လေသည်။ သို့ရာတွင် ထာဝရဘုရားသည်ဒါဝိဒ်ပြုခဲ့သည့်အမှု ကိုနှစ်သက်တော်မမူ။
