< 2 Peter 1 >
1 Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ have received a faith as precious as ours:
An Simon Petro, misumba kendo jaote mar Yesu Kristo, Andikonu un joma oseyudo yie ma nengone tek marom gi yiewa nimar Nyasachwa kod Jawarwa Yesu Kristo ema nomiyowago kuom adierane:
2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.
Ngʼwono kod kwe mogundho obed kodu kumedo ngʼeyo Nyasaye kod Yesu ma Ruodhwa.
3 His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.
Teko mar Nyasaye maduongʼ osemiyowa gik moko duto ma wadwaro mondo wabed mangima ka waluoro Nyasaye, kuom ngʼeyo Jal mane oluongowa kuom duongʼne owuon kod berne.
4 Through these He has given us His precious and magnificent promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, now that you have escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
Kuom magi osemiyowa singruokne maduongʼ kendo ma nengogi tek, mondo e kuom gigo unyalo kawo kit Nyasaye kendo mondo utony ua e kethruok ma gombo maricho ma pinyni kelo.
5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith virtue; and to virtue, knowledge;
Kuom mano, temuru matek kaka unyalo mondo umed ber e yieu, to bende medeuru ngʼeyo;
6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness;
to ngʼeyo to medeuru ritruok, to ritruok medeuru horuok, to horuok to medeuru luoro Nyasaye,
7 and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love.
to luoro Nyasaye to medeuru ngʼwono mar owete; to ngʼwono mar owete to medeuru hera.
8 For if you possess these qualities and continue to grow in them, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Nikech ka un gi kit timbego mogundho, to gibiro gengʼou mondo kik ubed joma nono ma ok nyag olemo e ngʼeyo ma un-go kuom Ruodhwa Yesu Kristo.
9 But whoever lacks these traits is nearsighted to the point of blindness, having forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins.
To ka ngʼato onge gi kidogi e ngimane to en ngʼama neno machiegni kendo ma muofu nimar wiye osewil ni ne osepwodhe oweyo richoge machon.
10 Therefore, brothers, strive to make your calling and election sure. For if you practice these things you will never stumble,
Emomiyo, jowetena, meduru bedo gi siso mar rito luong mane oluongugo kod yiero maru ka un gi adier. Nikech ka utimo gigi to ok unupodhi,
11 and you will receive a lavish reception into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (aiōnios )
kendo unuyud rwak malich ei pinyruoth mochwere mar Ruodhwa kendo Jawarwa Yesu Kristo. (aiōnios )
12 Therefore I will always remind you of these things, even though you know them and are established in the truth you now have.
Omiyo pod aparonu wechegi, kata obedo ni ungʼeyogi kendo uguroru motegno e adiera makoro un-go.
13 I think it is right to refresh your memory as long as I live in the tent of my body,
Aparo ni en gima ber mondo achiew pachu ka pod anie kiru mar ringruokni,
14 because I know that this tent will soon be laid aside, as our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me.
nikech angʼeyo ni achiegni weyo kiruni mana kaka Ruodhwa Yesu Kristo osenyisa maler.
15 And I will make every effort to ensure that after my departure, you will be able to recall these things at all times.
Kendo abiro temo matek mondo ane ni ka aseweyou to ubiro siko kuparo wechegi.
16 For we did not follow cleverly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty.
Ne ok waluwo sigendini ma dhano ochuogo gi riekone kane wanyisou teko kod biro mar Ruodhwa Yesu Kristo, to wawegi ne wan joneno mar duongʼne.
17 For He received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to Him from the Majestic Glory, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
Nikech ne oyudo luor kod duongʼ kuom Nyasaye Wuoro kane dwol obirone moa e Duongʼ Mamalo Moloyo, kawacho niya, “Ma e Wuoda mahero, en ema chunya mor kode!”
18 And we ourselves heard this voice from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain.
Wan wawegi ne wawinjo dwolno mane oa e poloni, kane wan kode ewi got maler.
19 We also have the word of the prophets as confirmed beyond doubt. And you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.
Omiyo wawacho weche jonabi mane gikoro makoro oselernwa tiendgi. Ka uchiko itu ne wechegi to ubiro konyoru, nikech gichalo gi ler marieny kawuok e mudho, nyaka chop odiechiengʼno yawre mi ler mar sulwe mokinyi meny chunjeu.
20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture comes from one’s own interpretation.
To moloyo mago duto, nyaka ungʼe ni onge wach mokor mar Muma ma janabi nyalo loko tiendgi gi pache owuon.
21 For no such prophecy was ever brought forth by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
Nikech weche mokor manie Muma ne ok owuok e pach dhano, to Nyasaye ema nomiyo ji owuoyo, ka gin e bwo teko mar Roho Maler.
