1 After the death of Ahab, Moab rebelled against Israel.
Moab nupuru isi megide Izrel mgbe Ehab nwụrụ.
2 Now Ahaziah had fallen through the lattice of his upper room in Samaria and injured himself. So he sent messengers and instructed them: “Go inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron, whether I will recover from this injury.”

3 But the angel of the LORD said to Elijah the Tishbite, “Go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria and ask them, ‘Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are on your way to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron?’
Ma mmụọ ozi Onyenwe anyị gwara Ịlaịja onye Tishbe okwu sị ya, “Gaa zute ndị ozi eze Sameria zipụrụ, jụọ ha sị, ‘Gịnị mere unu ji aga Ekrọn ịjụ ase? Ọ bụ na Chineke anọghị nʼIzrel mere unu ji aga ịjụ Baal-Zebub ase ịmata ma eze ọ ga-adị ndụ?’
4 Therefore this is what the LORD says: ‘You will not get up from the bed on which you are lying. You will surely die.’” So Elijah departed.
Nʼihi nke a, otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwuru, ‘Ị gaghị esite nʼelu ihe ndina ahụ bilie.

6 They replied, “A man came up to meet us and said, ‘Go back to the king who sent you and tell him that this is what the LORD says: Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are sending these men to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore you will not get up from the bed on which you are lying. You will surely die.’”
Ha zara ya, “Otu nwoke zutere anyị nʼụzọ sị anyị, ‘Laghachi ga zie eze ahụ zitere unu sị ya: “Ihe ndị a, ka Onyenwe anyị kwuru, Ọ bụ nʼihi na Chineke anọghị nʼIzrel ka i ji zipụ ndị mmadụ ka ha gaa jụta ase site nʼaka Baal-Zebub, chi ndị Ekrọn? Nʼihi nke a, ị gaghị esite nʼihe ndina gị bilie. Ya doo gị anya na ị ghaghị ịnwụ!”’”
7 The king asked them, “What sort of man came up to meet you and spoke these words to you?”
Eze jụrụ ha sị, “Onye bụ nwoke a zutere unu nʼụzọ gwa unu okwu ndị a? Olee ụdị mmadụ ọ bụ?”
8 “He was a hairy man,” they answered, “with a leather belt around his waist.” “It was Elijah the Tishbite,” said the king.
9 Then King Ahaziah sent to Elijah a captain with his company of fifty men. So the captain went up to Elijah, who was sitting on top of a hill, and said to him, “Man of God, the king declares, ‘Come down!’”
Mgbe ahụ, eze zigara otu onyeisi agha ya, na iri ndị agha ise ka ha gaa jide Ịlaịja. Mgbe ndị agha ahụ bịarutere hụ Ịlaịja ka ọ nọ ala nʼelu ugwu, onyeisi agha ahụ kpọrọ Ịlaịja sị ya, “Onye nke Chineke, eze sị gị, ‘rituo!’”
10 Elijah answered the captain, “If I am a man of God, may fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty men.” And fire came down from heaven and consumed the captain and his fifty men.
Ịlaịja zara sị ha, “Ọ bụrụ na m bụ onye nke Chineke dịka i kwuru, ka ọkụ si nʼeluigwe daa rechapụ gị na iri ndị a agha ise so gị.” Otu mgbe ahụ, ọkụ sitere nʼeluigwe daa rechapụ iri ndị agha ise ahụ na onyeisi ha.

Ọzọkwa, eze zigara otu onyeisi agha na iri ndị agha ise ọzọ ka ha gaa jide Ịlaịja. Mgbe ha bịarutere hụ Ịlaịja, onyeisi agha ahụ kpọkuru ya sị ya, “Onye nke Chineke, eze sị gị, ‘rituo, bịa ngwangwa!’”
12 Again Elijah replied, “If I am a man of God, may fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty men.” And the fire of God came down from heaven and consumed the captain and his fifty men.
13 So the king sent a third captain with his fifty men. And the third captain went up, fell on his knees before Elijah, and begged him, “Man of God, may my life and the lives of these fifty servants please be precious in your sight.
Ọzọkwa, eze zigara otu onyeisi agha na iri ndị agha ise ọzọ ka ha gaa jide Ịlaịja. Mgbe ndị agha a bịara hụ Ịlaịja, onyeisi agha ahụ rigoro nʼelu ugwu gbuo ikpere nʼala nʼihu Ịlaịja rịọọ ya amara sị ya, “Onye nke Chineke, biko, meere ohu gị na iri ndị agha ise mụ na ha so ebere.

16 And Elijah said to King Ahaziah, “This is what the LORD says: Is there really no God in Israel for you to inquire of His word? Is that why you have sent messengers to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore you will not get up from the bed on which you are lying. You will surely die.”
Mgbe Ịlaịja ruru nʼihu eze, ọ gwara eze okwu sị ya, “Ihe ndị a ka Onyenwe anyị kwuru, ọ bụ nʼihi na Chineke anọghị nʼIzrel ka i ji zipụ ndị ozi ka ha gaa jụta ase site nʼaka Baal-Zebub, chi ndị Ekrọn? Ebe ọ bụ na i mere ihe dị otu a, ị gaghị esite nʼihe ndina gị bilie. Ị ga-anwụrịrị!”
17 So Ahaziah died according to the word of the LORD that Elijah had spoken. And since he had no son, Jehoram succeeded him in the second year of the reign of Jehoram son of Jehoshaphat over Judah.
