2 Kings 15
1 In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam’s reign over Israel, Azariah son of Amaziah became king of Judah.

2 He was sixteen years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem fifty-two years. His mother’s name was Jecoliah; she was from Jerusalem.
lúc được mười sáu tuổi, và cai trị năm mươi hai năm tại Giê-ru-sa-lem. Mẹ A-xa-ria là Giê-cô-lia, người Giê-ru-sa-lem.
3 And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father Amaziah had done.
A-xa-ria làm điều thiện trước mặt Chúa Hằng Hữu, noi gương A-ma-xia, cha mình.
4 Nevertheless, the high places were not taken away; the people continued sacrificing and burning incense there.
Tuy nhiên vua vẫn không phá hủy các miếu thờ trên đồi và dân chúng vẫn tiếp tục cúng tế, đốt hương tại các nơi ấy.
5 And the LORD afflicted the king with leprosy until the day he died, so that he lived in a separate house while his son Jotham had charge of the palace and governed the people of the land.
Vì thế vua bị Chúa Hằng Hữu phạt bị bệnh phong cho đến ngày chết. Vua A-xa-ria phải sống cách biệt trong một nhà riêng, và ủy quyền cho Hoàng tử Giô-tham trông coi việc triều chính.
6 As for the rest of the acts of Azariah, along with all his accomplishments, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
Các việc khác của A-xa-ria đều được chép trong Sách Lịch Sử Các Vua Giu-đa.
7 And Azariah rested with his fathers and was buried near them in the City of David. And his son Jotham reigned in his place.
A-xa-ria an giấc cùng tổ tiên, được chôn với tổ tiên trong Thành Đa-vít. Giô-tham con vua lên kế vị.
8 In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah’s reign over Judah, Zechariah son of Jeroboam became king of Israel, and he reigned in Samaria six months.
Vào năm thứ ba mươi tám đời A-xa-ria, vua Giu-đa, Xa-cha-ri, con Giê-rô-bô-am II lên làm vua Ít-ra-ên, và cai trị sáu tháng tại Sa-ma-ri.
9 And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, as his fathers had done. He did not turn away from the sins that Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to commit.
Vua làm điều ác trước mặt Chúa Hằng Hữu như cha vua đã làm; không từ bỏ tội lỗi của Giê-rô-bô-am, con Nê-bát, lôi kéo Ít-ra-ên cùng phạm tội.
10 Then Shallum son of Jabesh conspired against Zechariah, struck him down and killed him in front of the people, and reigned in his place.
Sa-lum, con Gia-be làm phản, giết chết Vua Xa-cha-ri tại Íp-lê-am và chiếm ngôi.
11 As for the rest of the acts of Zechariah, they are indeed written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
Các việc khác của Xa-cha-ri đều được chép trong Sách Lịch Sử Các Vua Ít-ra-ên.
12 So the word of the LORD spoken to Jehu was fulfilled: “Four generations of your sons will sit on the throne of Israel.”
Như thế, việc đã xảy ra đúng như lời của Chúa Hằng Hữu phán về Giê-hu: “Con cháu ngươi sẽ làm vua Ít-ra-ên đến đời thứ tư.”
13 In the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah’s reign over Judah, Shallum son of Jabesh became king, and he reigned in Samaria one full month.
Sa-lum, con Gia-be lên làm vua Ít-ra-ên vào năm thứ ba mươi chín đời Ô-xia, vua Giu-đa. Sa-lum cai trị tại Sa-ma-ri chỉ được một tháng,
14 Then Menahem son of Gadi went up from Tirzah to Samaria, struck down and killed Shallum son of Jabesh, and reigned in his place.
vì bị Mê-na-hem, con Ga-đi, ở Tia-xa đến Sa-ma-ri ám sát và cướp ngôi.
15 As for the rest of the acts of Shallum, along with the conspiracy he led, they are indeed written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
Các việc khác của Sa-lum, việc phản loạn của vua, đều được chép trong Sách Lịch Sử Các Vua Ít-ra-ên.
16 At that time Menahem, starting from Tirzah, attacked Tiphsah and everyone in its vicinity, because they would not open their gates. So he attacked Tiphsah and ripped open all the pregnant women.
Mê-na-hem đánh Típ-sắc, giết sạch dân trong thành và miền phụ cận, từ Tia-xa trở đi. Lý do là vì người ta không chịu mở cổng thành cho Mê-na-hem. Đàn bà có thai đều bị mổ bụng.
17 In the thirty-ninth year of Azariah’s reign over Judah, Menahem son of Gadi became king of Israel, and he reigned in Samaria ten years.
Mê-na-hem, con Ga-đi lên làm vua Ít-ra-ên vào năm thứ ba mươi chín đời A-xa-ria, vua Giu-đa, và cai trị mười năm tại Sa-ma-ri.
18 And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and throughout his reign he did not turn away from the sins that Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to commit.
Mê-na-hem làm điều ác trước mặt Chúa Hằng Hữu, trọn đời không từ bỏ tội lỗi của Giê-rô-bô-am, con Nê-bát, lôi kéo Ít-ra-ên phạm tội theo.
19 Then Pul king of Assyria invaded the land, and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver in order to gain his support and strengthen his own grip on the kingdom.
Vua A-sy-ri là Bun kéo quân đến đánh. Mê-na-hem phải nạp cho Bun 37 tấn bạc để cứu vãn ngôi nước.
20 Menahem exacted this money from each of the wealthy men of Israel—fifty shekels of silver from each man—to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria withdrew and did not remain in the land.
Mê-na-hem bắt dân đóng góp số tiền này, mỗi người khá giả phải đóng năm mươi miếng bạc. Vua A-sy-ri quay về nước.
21 As for the rest of the acts of Menahem, along with all his accomplishments, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
Các việc khác của Mê-na-hem đều được chép trong Sách Lịch Sử Các Vua Ít-ra-ên.
22 And Menahem rested with his fathers, and his son Pekahiah reigned in his place.
Mê-na-hem an giấc với tổ tiên, Phê-ca-hia, con vua lên kế vị.
23 In the fiftieth year of Azariah’s reign over Judah, Pekahiah son of Menahem became king of Israel and reigned in Samaria two years.
Vào năm thứ năm mươi đời A-xa-ria, vua Giu-đa, Phê-ca-hia, con Mê-na-hem lên làm vua Ít-ra-ên, và cai trị hai năm tại Sa-ma-ri.
24 And he did evil in the sight of the LORD and did not turn away from the sins that Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to commit.
Vua làm điều ác trước mặt Chúa Hằng Hữu, không từ bỏ tội lỗi của Giê-rô-bô-am, con Nê-bát, làm gương xấu cho Ít-ra-ên phạm tội theo.
25 Then his officer, Pekah son of Remaliah, conspired against him along with Argob, Arieh, and fifty men of Gilead. And at the citadel of the king’s palace in Samaria, Pekah struck down and killed Pekahiah and reigned in his place.
Tướng chỉ huy quân đội là Phê-ca, con Rê-ma-lia cùng với năm mươi người Ga-la-át làm phản, giết Phê-ca-hia trong thành nội hoàng cung tại Sa-ma-ri, giết luôn Ạt-gốp và A-ri-ên, rồi chiếm lấy ngôi.
26 As for the rest of the acts of Pekahiah, along with all his accomplishments, they are indeed written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
Các việc khác của Phê-ca-hia đều được chép trong Sách Lịch Sử Các Vua Ít-ra-ên.
27 In the fifty-second year of Azariah’s reign over Judah, Pekah son of Remaliah became king of Israel, and he reigned in Samaria twenty years.
Phê-ca, con Rê-ma-lia lên làm vua Ít-ra-ên vào năm thứ năm mươi hai đời A-xa-ria, vua Giu-đa, và cai trị hai mươi năm tại Sa-ma-ri.
28 And he did evil in the sight of the LORD and did not turn away from the sins that Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to commit.
Vua làm điều ác trước mặt Chúa Hằng Hữu, không từ bỏ tội lỗi của Giê-rô-bô-am, con Nê-bát, lôi kéo Ít-ra-ên phạm tội.
29 In the days of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria came and captured Ijon, Abel-beth-maacah, Janoah, Kedesh, Hazor, Gilead, and Galilee, including all the land of Naphtali, and he took the people as captives to Assyria.
Dưới đời Phê-ca, Tiếc-la Phi-lê-se, vua A-sy-ri đánh Ít-ra-ên, chiếm Đan, A-bên Bết-ma-ca, Gia-nô-a, Kê-đe, Hát-so, Ga-la-át, Ga-li-lê, và đất Nép-ta-li, bắt dân đem về A-sy-ri.
30 Then Hoshea son of Elah led a conspiracy against Pekah son of Remaliah. In the twentieth year of Jotham son of Uzziah, Hoshea attacked Pekah, killed him, and reigned in his place.
Vào năm thứ hai mươi đời Vua Giô-tham, con Ô-xia, Ô-sê, con Ê-la, nổi lên làm phản, giết Phê-ca và chiếm ngôi.
31 As for the rest of the acts of Pekah, along with all his accomplishments, they are indeed written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
Các việc khác của Phê-ca đều được chép trong Sách Lịch Sử Các Vua Ít-ra-ên.
32 In the second year of the reign of Pekah son of Remaliah over Israel, Jotham son of Uzziah became king of Judah.
Vào năm thứ hai đời Phê-ca, con Rê-ma-lia, vua Ít-ra-ên, Giô-tham, con Ô-xia lên làm vua Giu-đa.
33 He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem sixteen years. His mother’s name was Jerusha daughter of Zadok.
Giô-tham được hai mươi lăm tuổi khi lên ngôi, và cai trị mười sáu năm tại Giê-ru-sa-lem. Mẹ Giô-tham, là Giê-ru-sa con gái Xa-đốc.
34 And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father Uzziah had done.
Vua làm điều thiện trước mặt Chúa Hằng Hữu, noi theo mọi điều cha Ô-xia mình đã làm.
35 Nevertheless, the high places were not taken away; the people continued sacrificing and burning incense there. Jotham rebuilt the Upper Gate of the house of the LORD.
Nhưng các miếu thờ trên đồi vẫn không bị phá dỡ, dân chúng vẫn cúng tế, và đốt hương tại các nơi ấy. Dưới đời Giô-tham, cổng trên của Đền Thờ Chúa Hằng Hữu được xây cất.
36 As for the rest of the acts of Jotham, along with his accomplishments, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
Các việc khác của Giô-tham đều được chép trong Sách Lịch Sử Các Vua Giu-đa.
37 (In those days the LORD began to send Rezin king of Aram and Pekah son of Remaliah against Judah.)
Vào thời ấy, Chúa Hằng Hữu bắt đầu cho phép Vua Rê-xin, nước A-ram và Vua Phê-ca, nước Ít-ra-ên, đánh phá Giu-đa.
38 And Jotham rested with his fathers and was buried with them in the City of David his father. And his son Ahaz reigned in his place.
Giô-tham an giấc với tổ tiên, được chôn với tổ tiên trong Thành Đa-vít. Con trai ông là A-cha lên ngôi kế vị.
