2 Kings 15
1 In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam’s reign over Israel, Azariah son of Amaziah became king of Judah.
No anno vinte e sete de Jeroboão, rei d'Israel, começou a reinar Azarias, filho d'Amasias, rei de Judah.
2 He was sixteen years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem fifty-two years. His mother’s name was Jecoliah; she was from Jerusalem.
Tinha dezeseis annos quando começou a reinar, e cincoenta e dois annos reinou em Jerusalem: e era o nome de sua mãe Jecolia, de Jerusalem.
3 And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father Amaziah had done.
E fez o que era recto aos olhos do Senhor, conforme tudo o que fizera Amasias, seu pae.
4 Nevertheless, the high places were not taken away; the people continued sacrificing and burning incense there.
Tão sómente os altos se não tiraram: porque ainda o povo sacrificava e queimava incenso nos altos.
5 And the LORD afflicted the king with leprosy until the day he died, so that he lived in a separate house while his son Jotham had charge of the palace and governed the people of the land.
E o Senhor feriu o rei, e ficou leproso até ao dia da sua morte; e habitou n'uma casa separada: porém Jothão, filho do rei, tinha o cargo da casa, julgando o povo da terra.
6 As for the rest of the acts of Azariah, along with all his accomplishments, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
Ora o mais dos successos de Azarias, e tudo o que fez, porventura não está escripto no livro das chronicas dos reis de Judah?
7 And Azariah rested with his fathers and was buried near them in the City of David. And his son Jotham reigned in his place.
E Azarias dormiu com seus paes, e o sepultaram junto a seus paes, na cidade de David: e Jothão, seu filho, reinou em seu logar.
8 In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah’s reign over Judah, Zechariah son of Jeroboam became king of Israel, and he reigned in Samaria six months.
No anno trinta e oito d'Azarias, rei de Judah, reinou Zacharias, filho de Jeroboão, sobre Israel, em Samaria, seis mezes.
9 And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, as his fathers had done. He did not turn away from the sins that Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to commit.
E fez o que parecia mal aos olhos do Senhor, como tinham feito seus paes; nunca se apartou dos peccados de Jeroboão, filho de Nebat, que fez peccar a Israel.
10 Then Shallum son of Jabesh conspired against Zechariah, struck him down and killed him in front of the people, and reigned in his place.
E Sallum, filho de Jabés, conspirou contra elle e o feriu diante do povo, e o matou; e reinou em seu logar.
11 As for the rest of the acts of Zechariah, they are indeed written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
Ora o mais dos successos de Zacharias, eis que está escripto no livro das chronicas dos reis de Israel.
12 So the word of the LORD spoken to Jehu was fulfilled: “Four generations of your sons will sit on the throne of Israel.”
Esta foi a palavra do Senhor, que fallou a Jehu, dizendo: Teus filhos, até á quarta geração, se assentarão sobre o throno d'Israel. E assim foi.
13 In the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah’s reign over Judah, Shallum son of Jabesh became king, and he reigned in Samaria one full month.
Sallum, filho de Jabés, começou a reinar no anno trinta e nove de Uzias, rei de Judah: e reinou um mez inteiro em Samaria.
14 Then Menahem son of Gadi went up from Tirzah to Samaria, struck down and killed Shallum son of Jabesh, and reigned in his place.
Porque Menahem, filho de Gadi, subiu de Tirza, e veiu a Samaria; e feriu a Sallum, filho de Jabés, em Samaria, e o matou, e reinou em seu logar.
15 As for the rest of the acts of Shallum, along with the conspiracy he led, they are indeed written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
Ora o mais dos successos de Sallum, e a conspiração que fez, eis que está escripto no livro das chronicas dos reis d'Israel.
16 At that time Menahem, starting from Tirzah, attacked Tiphsah and everyone in its vicinity, because they would not open their gates. So he attacked Tiphsah and ripped open all the pregnant women.
Então Menahem feriu a Tiphsah, e a todos os que n'ella havia, como tambem a seus termos desde Tirza, porque não lhe tinham aberto; e os feriu pois, e a todas as mulheres gravidas fendeu pelo meio.
17 In the thirty-ninth year of Azariah’s reign over Judah, Menahem son of Gadi became king of Israel, and he reigned in Samaria ten years.
Desde o anno trinta e nove de Azarias, rei de Judah, Menahem, filho de Gadi, começou a reinar sobre Israel, e reinou dez annos em Samaria.
18 And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and throughout his reign he did not turn away from the sins that Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to commit.
E fez o que parecia mal aos olhos do Senhor: todos os seus dias se não apartou dos peccados de Jeroboão, filho de Nebat, que fez peccar a Israel.
19 Then Pul king of Assyria invaded the land, and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver in order to gain his support and strengthen his own grip on the kingdom.
Então veiu Pul, rei d'Assyria, contra a terra: e Menahem deu a Pul mil talentos de prata, para que a sua mão fosse com elle, a fim de firmar o reino na sua mão.
20 Menahem exacted this money from each of the wealthy men of Israel—fifty shekels of silver from each man—to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria withdrew and did not remain in the land.
E Menahem tirou este dinheiro d'Israel, de todos os poderosos e ricos, para o dar ao rei da Assyria, por cada homem cincoenta siclos de prata: assim voltou o rei d'Assyria, e não ficou ali na terra.
21 As for the rest of the acts of Menahem, along with all his accomplishments, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
Ora o mais dos successos de Menahem, e tudo quanto fez, porventura não está escripto no livro das chronicas dos reis d'Israel?
22 And Menahem rested with his fathers, and his son Pekahiah reigned in his place.
E Menahem dormiu com seus paes: e Pekaia, seu filho, reinou em seu logar.
23 In the fiftieth year of Azariah’s reign over Judah, Pekahiah son of Menahem became king of Israel and reigned in Samaria two years.
No anno cincoenta de Azarias, rei de Judah, começou a reinar Pekaia, filho de Menahem, e reinou sobre Israel, em Samaria, dois annos.
24 And he did evil in the sight of the LORD and did not turn away from the sins that Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to commit.
E fez o que parecia mal aos olhos do Senhor: nunca se apartou dos peccados de Jeroboão, filho de Nebat, que fez peccar a Israel.
25 Then his officer, Pekah son of Remaliah, conspired against him along with Argob, Arieh, and fifty men of Gilead. And at the citadel of the king’s palace in Samaria, Pekah struck down and killed Pekahiah and reigned in his place.
E Peka, filho de Remalias, seu capitão, conspirou contra elle, e o feriu em Samaria, no paço da casa do rei, juntamente com Argob e com Arieh, e com elle cincoenta homens dos filhos dos gileaditas: e o matou, e reinou em seu logar.
26 As for the rest of the acts of Pekahiah, along with all his accomplishments, they are indeed written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
Ora o mais dos successos de Pekaia, e tudo quanto fez, eis que está escripto no livro das chronicas dos reis d'Israel.
27 In the fifty-second year of Azariah’s reign over Judah, Pekah son of Remaliah became king of Israel, and he reigned in Samaria twenty years.
No anno cincoenta e dois de Azarias, rei de Judah, começou a reinar Peka, filho de Remalias, e reinou sobre Israel, em Samaria, vinte annos.
28 And he did evil in the sight of the LORD and did not turn away from the sins that Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to commit.
E fez o que parecia mal aos olhos do Senhor: nunca se apartou dos peccados de Jeroboão, filho de Nebat, que fez peccar a Israel.
29 In the days of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria came and captured Ijon, Abel-beth-maacah, Janoah, Kedesh, Hazor, Gilead, and Galilee, including all the land of Naphtali, and he took the people as captives to Assyria.
Nos dias de Peka, rei de Israel, veiu Tiglath-pileser, rei d'Assyria, e tomou a Ijon, e a Abel-beth-maaca, e a Janoah, e a Kedes, e a Hasor, e a Gilead, e a Galilea, e a toda a terra de Naphtali, e os levou a Assyria.
30 Then Hoshea son of Elah led a conspiracy against Pekah son of Remaliah. In the twentieth year of Jotham son of Uzziah, Hoshea attacked Pekah, killed him, and reigned in his place.
E Hoseas, filho de Ela, conspirou contra Peka, filho de Remalias, e o feriu, e o matou, e reinou em seu logar, no vigesimo anno de Jothão, filho de Uzias.
31 As for the rest of the acts of Pekah, along with all his accomplishments, they are indeed written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
Ora o mais dos successos de Peka, e tudo quanto fez, eis que está escripto no livro das chronicas dos reis d'Israel.
32 In the second year of the reign of Pekah son of Remaliah over Israel, Jotham son of Uzziah became king of Judah.
No anno segundo de Peka, filho de Remalias, rei d'Israel, começou a reinar Jothão, filho de Uzias, rei de Judah.
33 He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem sixteen years. His mother’s name was Jerusha daughter of Zadok.
Tinha vinte e cinco annos de edade quando começou a reinar, e reinou dezeseis annos em Jerusalem: e era o nome de sua mãe Jerusa, filha de Zadok.
34 And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father Uzziah had done.
E fez o que era recto aos olhos do Senhor: fez conforme tudo quanto fizera seu pae Uzias.
35 Nevertheless, the high places were not taken away; the people continued sacrificing and burning incense there. Jotham rebuilt the Upper Gate of the house of the LORD.
Tão sómente os altos se não tiraram; porque ainda o povo sacrificava e queimava incenso nos altos: este edificou a porta alta da casa do Senhor.
36 As for the rest of the acts of Jotham, along with his accomplishments, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
Ora o mais dos successos de Jothão, e tudo quanto fez, porventura não está escripto no livro das chronicas dos reis de Judah?
37 (In those days the LORD began to send Rezin king of Aram and Pekah son of Remaliah against Judah.)
N'aquelles dias começou o Senhor a enviar contra Judah, a Resin, rei da Syria, e a Peka, filho de Remalias.
38 And Jotham rested with his fathers and was buried with them in the City of David his father. And his son Ahaz reigned in his place.
E Jothão dormiu com seus paes, e foi sepultado junto a seus paes, na cidade de David, seu pae: e Achaz, seu filho, reinou em seu logar.
