2 Kings 11
1 When Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she proceeded to annihilate all the royal heirs.
ଏଥିମଧ୍ୟରେ ଅହସୀୟଙ୍କର ମାତା ଅଥଲୀୟା ଆପଣା ପୁତ୍ରକୁ ମୃତ ଦେଖନ୍ତେ, ସେ ଉଠି ସମସ୍ତ ରାଜବଂଶ ବିନାଶ କଲା।
2 But Jehosheba daughter of King Joram, the sister of Ahaziah, took Joash son of Ahaziah and stole him away from among the sons of the king who were being murdered. She put him and his nurse in a bedroom to hide him from Athaliah, and he was not killed.
ମାତ୍ର ଯୋରାମ୍ ରାଜାଙ୍କର କନ୍ୟା, ଅହସୀୟଙ୍କର ଭଗିନୀ ଯିହୋଶେବା ଅହସୀୟଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ର ଯୋୟାଶ୍କୁ ନେଇଗଲା ଓ ଯେଉଁ ରାଜପୁତ୍ରମାନେ ହତ ହେଲେ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ତାହାକୁ ଚୋରାଇ ନେଇ ତାହାକୁ ଓ ତାହାର ଧାତ୍ରୀକୁ ଶୟନାଗାରରେ ରଖିଲା; ଆଉ ସେମାନେ ତାହାକୁ ଅଥଲୀୟାଠାରୁ ଲୁଚାଇ ରଖିବାରୁ ସେ ହତ ହେଲା ନାହିଁ।
3 And Joash remained hidden with his nurse in the house of the LORD for six years while Athaliah ruled the land.
ଆଉ ସେ ତାହା ସହିତ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହରେ ଛଅ ବର୍ଷ ଗୋପନରେ ରହିଲା; ପୁଣି ଅଥଲୀୟା ଦେଶରେ ରାଜ୍ୟ କଲା।
4 Then in the seventh year, Jehoiada sent for the commanders of hundreds, the Carites, and the guards, and had them brought into the house of the LORD. There he made a covenant with them and put them under oath. He showed them the king’s son
ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ସପ୍ତମ ବର୍ଷରେ ଯିହୋୟାଦା ଲୋକ ପଠାଇ କରୀୟମାନଙ୍କର ଓ ପ୍ରହରୀବର୍ଗର ଶତପତିମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଣାଇ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହକୁ ଆପଣା ନିକଟକୁ ନେଲା; ଆଉ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ନିୟମ କରି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶପଥ କରାଇ ରାଜପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖାଇଲା।
5 and commanded them, “This is what you are to do: A third of you who come on duty on the Sabbath shall guard the royal palace,
ଆଉ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଇ କହିଲା, “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଏହି କର୍ମ କରିବ; ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ବିଶ୍ରାମବାରରେ ଆସନ୍ତି, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ତୃତୀୟାଂଶ ରାଜଗୃହର ରକ୍ଷଣୀୟ ରକ୍ଷା କରିବେ,
6 a third shall be at the gate of Sur, and a third at the gate behind the guards. You are to take turns guarding the temple—
ଓ ତୃତୀୟାଂଶ ସୂର ଦ୍ୱାରରେ ରହିବେ ଓ ତୃତୀୟାଂଶ ପ୍ରହରୀବର୍ଗର ପଶ୍ଚାତ୍ ଦ୍ୱାରରେ ରହିବେ; ଏହିରୂପେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଗୃହର ରକ୍ଷଣୀୟ ରକ୍ଷା କରି ପ୍ରତିରୋଧକ ହେବ।
7 the two divisions that would go off duty on the Sabbath are to guard the house of the LORD for the king.
ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଦୁଇ ଦଳ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, ବିଶ୍ରାମବାରରେ ବାହାରକୁ ଯିବା ଲୋକ ସମସ୍ତେ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ସମୀପରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହର ରକ୍ଷଣୀୟ ରକ୍ଷା କରିବେ।
8 You must surround the king with weapons in hand, and anyone who approaches the ranks must be put to death. You must stay close to the king wherever he goes.”
ପୁଣି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତରେ ଅସ୍ତ୍ର ନେଇ ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ ଚତୁର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗରେ ବେଷ୍ଟନ କରିବ; ଆଉ ଯେକେହି ଶ୍ରେଣୀ ଭିତରକୁ ଆସେ, ସେ ହତ ହେଉ ଓ ରାଜା ବାହାରକୁ ଯିବା ବେଳେ ଓ ଭିତରକୁ ଆସିବା ବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତାଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଥାଅ।”
9 So the commanders of hundreds did everything that Jehoiada the priest had ordered. Each of them took his men—those coming on duty on the Sabbath and those going off duty—and came to Jehoiada the priest.
ତହିଁରେ ଯିହୋୟାଦା ଯାଜକ ଯାହାସବୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା କଲା, ତଦନୁସାରେ ଶତପତିମାନେ କଲେ; ପୁଣି ସେମାନେ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକେ ବିଶ୍ରାମବାରରେ ଅନ୍ତର୍ଗାମୀ ଓ ବିଶ୍ରାମବାରରେ ବହିର୍ଗାମୀ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ନେଇ ଯିହୋୟାଦା ଯାଜକ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିଲେ।
10 Then the priest gave to the commanders of hundreds the spears and shields of King David from the house of the LORD.
ତହିଁରେ ଦାଉଦ ରାଜାଙ୍କର ଯେ ଯେ ବର୍ଚ୍ଛା ଓ ଢାଲ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହରେ ଥିଲା, ତାହାସବୁ ଯାଜକ ସେହି ଶତପତିମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେଲା।
11 And the guards stood with weapons in hand surrounding the king by the altar and the temple, from the south side to the north side of the temple.
ତହୁଁ ଗୃହର ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱରୁ ବାମ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଯଜ୍ଞବେଦି ଓ ଗୃହ ନିକଟରେ ପ୍ରହରୀବର୍ଗର ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଲୋକ ହସ୍ତରେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଅସ୍ତ୍ର ଧରି ରାଜାଙ୍କର ଚତୁର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗରେ ଠିଆ ହେଲେ।
12 Then Jehoiada brought out the king’s son, put the crown on him, presented him with the Testimony, and proclaimed him king. They anointed him, and the people clapped their hands and declared, “Long live the king!”
ସେତେବେଳେ ସେ ରାଜପୁତ୍ର ଯୋୟାଶ୍ଙ୍କୁ ବାହାରକୁ ଆଣି ତାଙ୍କର ମସ୍ତକରେ ମୁକୁଟ ପିନ୍ଧାଇ ତାଙ୍କୁ ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ପୁସ୍ତକ ଦେଲା; ତହିଁରେ ସେମାନେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ରାଜା କରି ଅଭିଷେକ କଲେ; ଆଉ ସେମାନେ କରତାଳି ଦେଇ କହିଲେ, “ରାଜା ଚିରଜୀବୀ ହେଉନ୍ତୁ।”
13 When Athaliah heard the noise from the guards and the people, she went out to the people in the house of the LORD.
ଏଥିରେ ଅଥଲୀୟା ପ୍ରହରୀବର୍ଗର ଓ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର କୋଳାହଳ ଶୁଣି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହକୁ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିଲା।
14 And she looked out and saw the king standing by the pillar, according to the custom. The officers and trumpeters were beside the king, and all the people of the land were rejoicing and blowing trumpets. Then Athaliah tore her clothes and screamed, “Treason! Treason!”
ପୁଣି ସେ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିପାତ କରନ୍ତେ, ଦେଖ, ରାଜା ବିଧି ଅନୁସାରେ ସ୍ତମ୍ଭ ନିକଟରେ ଠିଆ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ସେନାପତିମାନେ ଓ ତୂରୀବାଦକମାନେ ଅଛନ୍ତି; ପୁଣି ଦେଶର ସମଗ୍ର ଲୋକ ଆନନ୍ଦ କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ତୂରୀ ବଜାଉଅଛନ୍ତି। ଏଥିରେ ଅଥଲୀୟା ଆପଣା ବସ୍ତ୍ର ଚିରି “ରାଜଦ୍ରୋହ ରାଜଦ୍ରୋହ!” ବୋଲି ଡାକ ପକାଇଲା।
15 And Jehoiada the priest ordered the commanders of hundreds in charge of the army, “Bring her out between the ranks, and put to the sword anyone who follows her.” For the priest had said, “She must not be put to death in the house of the LORD.”
ଏଥିରେ ଯିହୋୟାଦା ଯାଜକ ସୈନ୍ୟ ଉପରେ ନିଯୁକ୍ତ ଶତପତିମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଇ କହିଲା, “ସୈନ୍ୟଶ୍ରେଣୀର ମଧ୍ୟଦେଇ ଏହାକୁ ବାହାରକୁ ନେଇଯାଅ ଓ ଯେ ତାହାର ପଶ୍ଚାଦ୍ଗାମୀ ହୁଏ, ତାହାକୁ ଖଡ୍ଗରେ ବଧ କର।” କାରଣ ଯାଜକ କହିଲା, “ସେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହ ଭିତରେ ହତ ନ ହେଉ।”
16 So they seized Athaliah as she reached the horses’ entrance to the palace grounds, and there she was put to death.
ତହୁଁ ସେମାନେ ତାହା ପାଇଁ ପଥ ଛାଡ଼ନ୍ତେ, ସେ ରାଜଗୃହକୁ ଯିବା ଅଶ୍ୱଦ୍ୱାରର ପଥ ଦେଇ ଗଲା ଓ ସେଠାରେ ହତ ହେଲା।
17 Then Jehoiada made a covenant between the LORD and the king and the people that they would be the LORD’s people. He also made a covenant between the king and the people.
ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ସମସ୍ତେ ଯେପରି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଲୋକ ହେବେ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଯିହୋୟାଦା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଏବଂ ରାଜା ଓ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଏକ ନିୟମ କଲା; ରାଜା ଓ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ହିଁ ନିୟମ କଲା।
18 So all the people of the land went to the temple of Baal and tore it down. They smashed the altars and idols to pieces, and they killed Mattan the priest of Baal in front of the altars. And Jehoiada the priest posted guards for the house of the LORD.
ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଦେଶର ସମଗ୍ର ଲୋକ ବାଲ୍ ମନ୍ଦିରକୁ ଯାଇ ତାହା ଭାଙ୍ଗି ପକାଇଲେ; ସେମାନେ ତାହାର ଯଜ୍ଞବେଦି ଓ ତାହାର ପ୍ରତିମାସବୁ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ରୂପେ ଚୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କଲେ ଓ ଯଜ୍ଞବେଦିମାନର ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ବାଲ୍ର ଯାଜକ ମତ୍ତନକୁ ବଧ କଲେ। ପୁଣି ଯାଜକ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହରେ କର୍ମଚାରୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିଯୁକ୍ତ କଲା।
19 He took with him the commanders of hundreds, the Carites, the guards, and all the people of the land, and they brought the king down from the house of the LORD and entered the royal palace by way of the Gate of the Guards. Then Joash took his seat on the royal throne,
ପୁଣି ଯିହୋୟାଦା ଶତପତିମାନଙ୍କୁ ଓ କରୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଓ ପ୍ରହରୀବର୍ଗକୁ ଓ ଦେଶର ସମଗ୍ର ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ନେଲା; ତହୁଁ ସେମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହରୁ ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ ଆଣି ପ୍ରହରୀବର୍ଗର ଦ୍ୱାର ଦେଇ ରାଜଗୃହକୁ ଆସିଲେ। ଏଥିରେ ଯୋୟାଶ୍ ରାଜସିଂହାସନରେ ଉପବିଷ୍ଟ ହେଲେ।
20 and all the people of the land rejoiced. And the city was quiet, because Athaliah had been put to the sword at the royal palace.
ଏହିରୂପେ ଦେଶର ସମୁଦାୟ ଲୋକ ଆନନ୍ଦ କଲେ ଓ ନଗର ସୁସ୍ଥିର ହେଲା; ଆଉ ସେମାନେ ରାଜଗୃହ ନିକଟରେ ଅଥଲୀୟାଙ୍କୁ ଖଡ୍ଗରେ ବଧ କଲେ।
21 Joash was seven years old when he became king.
ଯୋୟାଶ୍ ସାତ ବର୍ଷ ବୟସରେ ରାଜ୍ୟ କରିବାକୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କଲେ।
