2 Corinthians 9
1 Now about the service to the saints, there is no need for me to write to you.
Ueber die Sache, die Hilfe für die Heiligen, brauche ich euch ja nicht weiter zu schreiben.
2 For I know your eagerness to help, and I have been boasting to the Macedonians that since last year you in Achaia were prepared to give. And your zeal has stirred most of them to do likewise.
Weiß ich doch, wie bereit ihr seid, und rühme mich für euch bei den Makedoniern, daß Achaia vom vorigen Jahre her bereit ist, und der Eifer, der von euch ausgeht, so viele angespornt hat.
3 But I am sending the brothers in order that our boasting about you in this matter should not prove empty, but that you will be prepared, just as I said.
Abgesendet aber habe ich die Brüder, damit nicht unser Rühmen über euch in diesem Punkte zu nichte werde, damit vielmehr eure Bereitschaft meine Worte bewähre.
4 Otherwise, if any Macedonians come with me and find you unprepared, we—to say nothing of you—would be ashamed of having been so confident.
Damit nicht, wenn mit mir Makedonier kommen und euch unvorbereitet finden sollten, wir zu Schanden werden, um nicht zu sagen: ihr, an dieser Erwartung.
5 So I thought it necessary to urge the brothers to visit you beforehand and make arrangements for the bountiful gift you had promised. This way, your gift will be prepared generously and not begrudgingly.
So habe ich es für nötig gehalten, die Brüder aufzufordern, daß sie vorausgehen zu euch, und euren versprochenen Segen vorbereiten, daß er bereit sei wie ein Segen, und nicht nach Geiz aussehe.
6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.
Wohl gemerkt! wer sparsam sät, wird auch sparsam ernten, und wer auf Segen sät, wird auch auf Segen ernten.
7 Each one should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not out of regret or compulsion. For God loves a cheerful giver.
Jeder, wie es ihm ums Herz ist; nicht mit Unlust oder Zwang, denn einen fröhlichen Geber liebt Gott.
8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things, at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
Gott aber hat die Macht, alle Gnade reichlich über euch zu ergießen, daß ihr allezeit in allem genug habet und übrig zu jedem guten Werk,
9 As it is written: “He has scattered abroad His gifts to the poor; His righteousness endures forever.” (aiōn g165)
wie geschrieben steht: er hat ausgeschüttet und den Armen gegeben, seine Gerechtigkeit bleibt ewig. (aiōn g165)
10 Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your store of seed and will increase the harvest of your righteousness.
Der aber den Samen dem Sämann darreicht und Brot zur Nahrung, der wird es auch mit eurer Saat thun und wird sie vermehren, und wird wachsen lassen die Früchte eurer Gerechtigkeit, -
11 You will be enriched in every way to be generous on every occasion, so that through us your giving will produce thanksgiving to God.
daß ihr reich ausgestattet seid mit allem zu jeder Mildthätigkeit, als welche durch unsere Vermittlung Gott Dank bringt
12 For this ministry of service is not only supplying the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanksgiving to God.
(denn der Dienst dieser Leistung deckt nicht nur den Mangel der Heiligen, sondern er trägt auch reiche Zinsen bei Gott durch die vielen Dankgebete)
13 Because of the proof this ministry provides, the saints will glorify God for your obedient confession of the gospel of Christ, and for the generosity of your contribution to them and to all the others.
und durch die Probe dieses Dienstes Gott verherrlicht am Gehorsam eures Bekenntnisses zum Evangelium Christus und an dem milden Sinn des Mitteilens gegen sie und alle,
14 And their prayers for you will express their affection for you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you.
wobei auch sie im Gebet das Verlangen nach euch aussprechen um der überfließenden Gnade Gottes willen, die sie an euch sehen.
15 Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!
Dank sei Gott für sein nicht auszuredendes Geben.
