< 2 Corinthians 8 >
1 Now, brothers, we want you to know about the grace that God has given the churches of Macedonia.
Joon awaan loong, Mesidonia chaas loong adi Rangte minchan ah mathan angta erah jatthuk suh liihi.
2 In the terrible ordeal they suffered, their abundant joy and deep poverty overflowed into rich generosity.
Neng loong ah phate joonnaam rumta doh rapne ih chamnaang rumta; enoothong neng loong tenroon ah erah than ehan angta, neng lakkot ah uh datniikniik eh kotsuh nook rumta, neng loong ah changthih taat angrum abah uh ah.
3 For I testify that they gave according to their ability and even beyond it. Of their own accord,
Ngah ih sen loong asuh jen baat ih rumha neng ih mathan jen koh ah erah than ih koh rumta, eno erah nang ih ehan botse korumta. Neng ten ih jam ano
4 they earnestly pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the saints.
Judia dowa Rangte mina loong ah seng ih nep roong sokboi ih ngeh ih chuut hu rum ano seng lasih jotahe.
5 And not only did they do as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then to us, because it was the will of God.
Seng laalomti ah nang ih ju ehan ih re rumta! Jaakhothoon ah neng Teesu suh look rumta; erah lih adi, Rangte thung jun di neng teewah seng sak ni uh look haat eh rumtaha.
6 So we urged Titus to help complete your act of grace, just as he had started it.
Erah jun ih seng loong ah Taitaas reeni chuut huuti, an phang mokah tu ah neng raangtaan ih heh minchan mootkaat ah maang thoonthoon ih mootjih ang ah ngeh ah.
7 But just as you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness, and in the love we inspired in you —see that you also excel in this grace of giving.
Sen loong jiinni tiimjih jeela erah kapjap han adi sen loong ah rapne changteng: hanpi di angkoja oh, tiit baat di angkoja oh, adoleh mongtham di angkoja oh, erah damdi seng chosok hali nyia minchan ih hali adi nep ah. Eno sen loong ah arah minchan mootkaat adoh uh larat lapatte toom ang an ih liihi.
8 I am not making a demand, but I am testing the sincerity of your love in comparison to the earnestness of others.
Ngah ih sen hopnak suh nyia pansuh tali kang. Enoothong wahoh loong ah mih chosok suh mamah ih nookla, erah likhiik sen loong mongnook amiisak di mathan ah erah jat suh liihang.
9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich.
Sen loong ah ih seng Teesu Jisu Kristo minchan ah jat ehan; heh changteng ang abah uh, sen raangtaan ih heh teewah changthih ih hoon thukta, tiimnge liidi heh changthet jun ih sen changteng toom ih hoon an ngeh ah.
10 And this is my opinion about what is helpful for you in this matter: Last year you were the first not only to give, but even to have such a desire.
Ngah ih thunhang manrang phang mokatan ah amadoh jentom mokah anbah ese ang ah. Sen loong ah mootkaat pakna ni luulu kapkhoh tah angtan, reeraang pakna suh uh ethun ih tan.
11 Now finish the work, so that you may complete it just as eagerly as you began, according to your means.
Emah ang abah, mootkaatjih ah thoon mootkaat ih an! Sen ih echaan ih thoon mootkaat suh thuntan ah mamah jen reeraang pakna an erah jun ih thoon mokah an eno amadi tiim reeraangjih ah erah mokah an.
12 For if the eagerness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what he does not have.
Sen loong ah ekot esuh nook elan bah, sen suh jeela jun ih sen lakkot ah Rangte ih ethang ih ah, lajeeka bah tiimma thang ah.
13 It is not our intention that others may be relieved while you are burdened, but that there may be equality.
Ngah ih sen loong ah naangcham thuk rum haano wahoh naangtong thuk suh taliikang; enoothong amadi sen suh saapoot je thoidi ba, ramtek khamle tongte loong ah chosok anbah ese ang ah ngeh ih baat rumhala. Eno juuba, sen loong ramtek khamle tong an doh nyia neng suh je adoh neng ih uh toom chosok han. Erah likhiik sen loongtang eluilui ang theng.
14 At the present time, your surplus will meet their need, so that in turn their surplus will meet your need. Then there will be equality.
15 As it is written: “He who gathered much had no excess, and he who gathered little had no shortfall.”
Rangteele ni amah liiha, “O ih ehan lomhui ha erah suh ehan tah angka, eno o ih amasah lomhui ha he suh eneethoon tah angka.”
16 But thanks be to God, who put into the heart of Titus the same devotion I have for you.
Rangte suh lakookmi liihi seng ih sen chosok suh thun hi ah likhiik Taitaas ih uh emamah ih thunha!
17 For not only did he welcome our appeal, but he is eagerly coming to you of his own volition.
Heh suh baatti luulu lathang thang ih; heh thung ih uh sen chosok suh nyia sen reeni kaat thung angta.
18 Along with Titus we are sending the brother who is praised by all the churches for his work in the gospel.
Chaas rookwet ni ruurang ese tiit baat thoidi rapne ih choomjoh arah phoh ano wahoh loong nep heh damdi wakkaat thuk hali.
19 More than that, this brother was chosen by the churches to accompany us with the offering —the gracious gift we administer to honor the Lord Himself and to show our eagerness to help.
Erah tokkhoh di uh, minchan thoidi nyia Teesu rangka suh adoleh sen loong chosok ah noisok suh Chaaste loong ih heh seng damdoh roongkhoom theng ngeh ih danje nyia danjoh rumha.
20 We hope to avoid any criticism of the way we administer this generous gift.
Lakkot laknoi doh mih ih liilaang jih naktoom ang ah ngeh ih seng sokthun samthun ih reeli.
21 For we are taking great care to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord, but also in the eyes of men.
Teesu miksok doh luulu lah angthang ih, mih miksok doh seng loong ah marah epun ah erah reejih.
22 And we are sending along with them our brother whose earnestness has been proven many times and in many ways, and now even more so by his great confidence in you.
Erah raangtaan ih Taitaas loong ah damdi seng loong no wakkaat thuk hali; seng ih saarookwet thaaksok ih di heh mih chosok suh ramram angte mina. Eno amadi sen loong asuh rapne laalom halan, sen chosok suh rapne ih ramla.
23 As for Titus, he is my partner and fellow worker among you. As for our brothers, they are messengers of the churches, to the glory of Christ.
Taitaas ah langla, sen loong chosok suh nga damdi roong mootkaatte; phoh ano wahoh loong heh damdi o roongkhoom rumla langla, chaas loong mendi khoom rumla nyia Kristo men raksiitte.
24 In full view of the churches, then, show these men the proof of your love and the reason for our boasting about you.
Neng loong asuh sen mongnook ah noisok an, chaas loong ah erah suh emi tuumaang theng toom ang ah adoleh sen thoilam di seng loong khuupook li ah epun ekah ngeh ih toomjat rum ah.
