< 2 Corinthians 3 >
1 Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, like some people, letters of recommendation to you or from you?
Nu ammas of galateeffachuu jalqabnaa ree? Yookaan akka namoota tokko tokkoo xalayaa deeggarsaa gara keessanitti fiduu yookaan isin biraa argachuu nu barbaachisaa ree?
2 You yourselves are our letter, inscribed on our hearts, known and read by everyone.
Xalayaan keenya kan namni hundinuu beekuu fi dubbisu kan garaa keenya keessatti barreeffame isinuma.
3 It is clear that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.
Isin akka xalayaa Kiristoos, buʼaa tajaajila keenyaa taatan ifa; xalayaan kunis qalamiidhaan utuu hin taʼin Hafuura Waaqa jiraataatiin, gabatee dhagaa irratti utuu hin taʼin gabatee garaa namaa irratti kan barreeffamee dha.
4 Such confidence before God is ours through Christ.
Amantiin nu karaa Kiristoosiin fuula Waaqaa duratti qabnus kan akkanaa ti.
5 Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim that anything comes from us, but our competence comes from God.
Nu waan tokko illee ofii keenyaan hojjechuuf dandeettii qabna jennee miti; dandeettiin keenya garuu Waaqa irraa dhufa.
6 And He has qualified us as ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
Innis akka nu tajaajiltoota kakuu haaraa taanuuf dandeettii nuu kenneera; kakuun kunis kan qubee utuu hin taʼin kan Hafuuraa ti; qubeen ni ajjeesa; Hafuurri garuu jireenya kenna.
7 Now if the ministry of death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with such glory that the Israelites could not gaze at the face of Moses because of its fleeting glory,
Erga tajaajilli duʼa fide kan qubeedhaan dhagaa irratti qirixame sun hamma Israaʼeloonni sababii ulfina isaa kan irraa badaa deemu sanaatiif xiyyeeffatanii fuula Musee ilaaluu hin dandeenyetti ulfinaan dhufee,
8 will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious?
tajaajilli Hafuuraa immoo hammam caalaa ulfina haa qabaatuu ree?
9 For if the ministry of condemnation was glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry of righteousness!
Erga tajaajilli murtii namatti fidu ulfina qabaatee, tajaajilli qajeelummaa fidu immoo hammam caalaa ulfina haa qabaatu ree!
10 Indeed, what was once glorious has no glory now in comparison to the glory that surpasses it.
Wanni ulfina qabeessa ture sun yommuu ulfina caalu biratti ilaalamu amma ulfina hin qabuutii.
11 For if what was fading away came with glory, how much greater is the glory of that which endures!
Erga wanni yeroodhaaf jiraatu sun ulfinaan dhufee, ulfinni isa bara baraan jiraatuu immoo hammam caalaa guddaa haa taʼu ree!
12 Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold.
Kanaafuu nu abdii akkasii waan qabnuuf baayʼee ija jabaanna.
13 We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to keep the Israelites from gazing at the end of what was fading away.
Nu warra akka Musee isa akka sabni Israaʼel dhuma waan badaa deemu sanaa hin argineef jedhee haguuggiidhaan fuula isaa haguuggatee miti.
14 But their minds were closed. For to this day the same veil remains at the reading of the old covenant. It has not been lifted, because only in Christ can it be removed.
Yaadni isaanii garuu hadoodeera; isaan hamma harʼaatti iyyuu yommuu kakuu moofaa dubbisanitti haguuggiin sun isaan irraa hin fuudhamne. Inni Kiristoos qofaan irraa fuudhamaatii.
15 And even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts.
Hamma harʼaatti illee yeroo isaan seera Musee dubbisanitti haguuggiin yaada garaa isaanii ni haguuga.
16 But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
Yeroo namni kam iyyuu gara Gooftaatti deebiʼutti garuu haguuggiin sun irraa fuudhama.
17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
Gooftaan Hafuura. Iddoo Hafuurri Gooftaa jiru immoo bilisummaatu jira.
18 And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into His image with intensifying glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
Nu warri utuu fuulli keenya hin haguugamin ulfina Gooftaa calaqqisnu hundi ulfina ittuma caalee guddachaa deemu kan Gooftaa Hafuura taʼe irraa dhufuun gara bifa isaatti geeddaramaa jirra.
