2 Chronicles 9
1 Now when the queen of Sheba heard about the fame of Solomon, she came to test him with difficult questions. She arrived in Jerusalem with a very large caravan—with camels bearing spices, gold in abundance, and precious stones. So she came to Solomon and spoke with him about all that was on her mind.
Quando a rainha de Sabá ouviu falar da fama de Salomão, ela veio testar Salomão com perguntas difíceis em Jerusalém, com uma caravana muito grande, incluindo camelos que carregavam especiarias, ouro em abundância e pedras preciosas. Quando veio a Salomão, falou com ele sobre tudo o que havia em seu coração.
2 And Solomon answered all her questions; nothing was too difficult for him to explain.
Salomão respondeu a todas as suas perguntas. Não havia nada escondido de Salomão que ele não lhe tivesse dito.
3 When the queen of Sheba saw the wisdom of Solomon, the palace he had built,
Quando a rainha de Sabá viu a sabedoria de Salomão, a casa que ele tinha construído,
4 the food at his table, the seating of his servants, the service and attire of his attendants and cupbearers, and the burnt offerings he presented at the house of the LORD, it took her breath away.
a comida de sua mesa, os assentos de seus servos, a assistência de seus ministros, suas roupas, seus carregadores de copos e suas roupas, e sua ascensão pela qual ele subiu à casa de Yahweh, não havia mais espírito nela.
5 She said to the king, “The report I heard in my own country about your words and wisdom is true.
Ela disse ao rei: “Foi um verdadeiro relato que ouvi em minha própria terra sobre seus atos e de sua sabedoria.
6 But I did not believe the reports until I came and saw with my own eyes. Indeed, not half of the greatness of your wisdom was told to me. You have far exceeded the report I heard.
No entanto, não acreditei em suas palavras até que cheguei, e meus olhos o tinham visto; e eis que metade da grandeza de sua sabedoria não me foi dita. Vocês excedem a fama que eu ouvi!
7 How blessed are your men! How blessed are these servants of yours who stand continually before you and hear your wisdom!
Felizes são seus homens, e felizes são estes seus servos, que estão continuamente diante de você e ouvem sua sabedoria.
8 Blessed be the LORD your God, who has delighted in you to set you on His throne to be king for the LORD your God. Because your God loved Israel enough to establish them forever, He has made you king over them to carry out justice and righteousness.”
Bendito seja Javé vosso Deus, que se deleitou em vós e vos colocou em seu trono para ser rei de Javé vosso Deus, porque vosso Deus amava Israel, para estabelecê-los para sempre. Portanto, ele te fez rei sobre eles, para fazer justiça e retidão”.
9 Then she gave the king 120 talents of gold, a great quantity of spices, and precious stones. There had never been such spices as those the queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon.
Ela deu ao rei cento e vinte talentos de ouro, especiarias em grande abundância e pedras preciosas. Nunca antes existiu uma especiaria como a rainha de Sabá deu ao rei Salomão.
10 (The servants of Hiram and of Solomon who brought gold from Ophir also brought algum wood and precious stones.
Os criados de Huram e os criados de Salomão, que trouxeram ouro de Ophir, também trouxeram algumas árvores e pedras preciosas.
11 The king made the algum wood into steps for the house of the LORD and for the king’s palace, and into lyres and harps for the singers. Never before had anything like them been seen in the land of Judah.)
O rei usou alguma madeira de árvore para fazer terraços para a casa de Yahweh e para a casa do rei, e harpas e instrumentos de cordas para os cantores. Não havia nenhum como estes vistos antes na terra de Judá.
12 King Solomon gave the queen of Sheba all she desired—whatever she asked—far more than she had brought the king. Then she left and returned to her own country, along with her servants.
O rei Salomão deu à rainha de Sabá todo o seu desejo, o que ela pediu, mais do que aquilo que ela havia trazido ao rei. Então ela se virou e foi para sua própria terra, ela e seus servos.
13 The weight of gold that came to Solomon each year was 666 talents,
Agora o peso do ouro que chegou a Salomão em um ano foi seiscentos e sessenta e seis talentos de ouro,
14 not including the revenue from the merchants and traders. And all the Arabian kings and governors of the land also brought gold and silver to Solomon.
além do que os comerciantes e negociantes trouxeram. Todos os reis da Arábia e os governadores do país trouxeram ouro e prata para Salomão.
15 King Solomon made two hundred large shields of hammered gold; six hundred shekels of hammered gold went into each shield.
O rei Salomão fez duzentos grandes escudos de ouro batido. Seiscentos shekels de ouro batido foram para um grande escudo.
16 He also made three hundred small shields of hammered gold; three hundred shekels of gold went into each shield. And the king put them in the House of the Forest of Lebanon.
Ele fez trezentos escudos de ouro batido. Trezentos shekels de ouro foram para um único escudo. O rei os colocou na Casa da Floresta do Líbano.
17 Additionally, the king made a great throne of ivory and overlaid it with pure gold.
Moreover o rei fez um grande trono de marfim, e o revestiu com ouro puro.
18 The throne had six steps, and a footstool of gold was attached to it. There were armrests on both sides of the seat, with a lion standing beside each armrest.
Havia seis degraus para o trono, com um escabelo de ouro, que eram fixados ao trono, e apoios de braço em ambos os lados, junto ao lugar do assento, e dois leões de pé ao lado dos apoios de braço.
19 Twelve lions stood on the six steps, one at either end of each step. Nothing like this had ever been made for any kingdom.
Doze leões estavam ali de pé de um lado e do outro nos seis degraus. Não havia nada parecido com o que foi feito em qualquer outro reino.
20 All King Solomon’s drinking cups were gold, and all the utensils of the House of the Forest of Lebanon were pure gold. There was no silver, because it was accounted as nothing in the days of Solomon.
Todos os vasos de bebida do rei Salomão eram de ouro, e todos os vasos da Casa da Floresta do Líbano eram de ouro puro. A prata não era considerada valiosa nos dias de Salomão.
21 For the king had the ships of Tarshish that went with Hiram’s servants, and once every three years the ships of Tarshish would arrive bearing gold, silver, ivory, apes, and peacocks.
Pois o rei tinha navios que iam para Tarshish com os servos de Huram. Uma vez a cada três anos, os navios de Társis vinham trazendo ouro, prata, marfim, macacos e pavões.
22 So King Solomon surpassed all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.
Portanto, o rei Salomão excedeu todos os reis da terra em riqueza e sabedoria.
23 All the kings of the earth sought an audience with Solomon to hear the wisdom that God had put in his heart.
Todos os reis da terra buscaram a presença de Salomão para ouvir sua sabedoria, que Deus havia colocado em seu coração.
24 Year after year, each visitor would bring his tribute: articles of silver and gold, clothing, weapons, spices, horses, and mules.
Cada um deles trazia anualmente tributo: vasos de prata, vasos de ouro, roupas, armaduras, especiarias, cavalos e mulas.
25 Solomon had 4,000 stalls for horses and chariots, and 12,000 horses, which he stationed in the chariot cities and also with him in Jerusalem.
Salomão tinha quatro mil baias para cavalos e carruagens, e doze mil cavaleiros que ele estacionava nas cidades das carruagens e com o rei em Jerusalém.
26 He reigned over all the kings from the Euphrates to the land of the Philistines, as far as the border of Egypt.
Ele governava todos os reis do rio até a terra dos filisteus, e até a fronteira do Egito.
27 The king made silver as common in Jerusalem as stones, and cedar as abundant as sycamore in the foothills.
O rei tornou a prata tão comum em Jerusalém como as pedras, e fez os cedros tão abundantes como os sicômoros que estão nas terras baixas.
28 Solomon’s horses were imported from Egypt and from all the lands.
Eles trouxeram cavalos para Salomão para fora do Egito e de todas as terras.
29 As for the rest of the acts of Solomon, from beginning to end, are they not written in the Records of Nathan the Prophet, in the Prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the Visions of Iddo the Seer concerning Jeroboam son of Nebat?
Now o resto dos atos de Salomão, primeiro e último, não estão escritos na história de Natan, o profeta, e na profecia de Ahijah, o xilonita, e nas visões de Iddo, o vidente, sobre Jeroboão, o filho de Nebat?
30 Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel forty years.
Salomão reinou em Jerusalém durante quarenta anos em todo Israel.
31 And Solomon rested with his fathers and was buried in the city of his father David. And his son Rehoboam reigned in his place.
Salomão dormiu com seus pais, e foi enterrado na cidade de seu pai Davi; e Reoboão seu filho reinou em seu lugar.
