2 Chronicles 31
1 When all this had ended, the Israelites in attendance went out to the cities of Judah and broke up the sacred pillars, chopped down the Asherah poles, and tore down the high places and altars throughout Judah and Benjamin, as well as in Ephraim and Manasseh, until they had utterly destroyed them all. Then all the Israelites returned to their cities, each to his own property.
Hechas todas estas cosas, salió todo Israel, los que se habían hallado por las ciudades de Judá, y quebraron las estatuas, y destruyeron los bosques, y derribaron los altos y los altares por todo Judá y Ben-jamín: y también en Efraím y Manasés hasta acabarlo todo: y volviéronse todos los hijos de Israel cada uno a su posesión, y a sus ciudades.
2 Hezekiah reestablished the divisions of the priests and Levites—each of them according to their duties as priests or Levites—for the burnt offerings and peace offerings, for ministry, for giving thanks, and for singing praises at the gates of the LORD’s dwelling.
Y constituyó Ezequías los repartimientos de los sacerdotes y de los Levitas conforme a sus repartimientos, cada uno según su oficio: los sacerdotes y los Levitas para el holocausto y pacíficos, para que ministrasen, para que glorificasen y alabasen a las puertas de las tiendas de Jehová.
3 The king contributed from his own possessions for the regular morning and evening burnt offerings and for the burnt offerings on the Sabbaths, New Moons, and appointed feasts, as written in the Law of the LORD.
La contribución del rey de su hacienda, era holocaustos a mañana y tarde, ítem, holocaustos para los sábados, nuevas lunas, y solemnidades, como está escrito en la ley de Jehová.
4 Moreover, he commanded the people living in Jerusalem to make a contribution for the priests and Levites so that they could devote themselves to the Law of the LORD.
Mandó también al pueblo, que habitaba en Jerusalem, que diesen la parte a los sacerdotes y Levitas, para que se esforzasen en la ley de Jehová.
5 As soon as the order went out, the Israelites generously provided the firstfruits of the grain, new wine, oil, and honey, and of all the produce of the field, and they brought in an abundance—a tithe of everything.
Y como este edicto fue divulgado, los hijos de Israel dieron muchas primicias de grano, vino, aceite, miel, y de todos los frutos de la tierra: y trajeron asimismo los diezmos de todas las cosas en abundancia.
6 And the Israelites and Judahites who lived in the cities of Judah also brought a tithe of their herds and flocks and a tithe of the holy things consecrated to the LORD their God, and they laid them in large heaps.
También los hijos de Israel y de Judá, que habitaban en las ciudades de Judá, dieron asimismo los diezmos de las vacas y de las ovejas: y trajeron los diezmos de lo santificado, de las cosas que habían prometido a Jehová su Dios, y lo pusieron por montones.
7 In the third month they began building up the heaps, and they finished in the seventh month.
En el mes tercero comenzaron a fundar aquellos montones, y en el mes séptimo acabaron.
8 When Hezekiah and his officials came and viewed the heaps, they blessed the LORD and His people Israel.
Y Ezequías y los príncipes vinieron a ver los montones, y bendijeron a Jehová, y a su pueblo Israel.
9 Then Hezekiah questioned the priests and Levites about the heaps,
Y preguntó Ezequías a los sacerdotes y a los Levitas acerca de los montones:
10 and Azariah, the chief priest of the household of Zadok, answered him, “Since the people began to bring their contributions into the house of the LORD, we have had enough to eat and there is plenty left over, because the LORD has blessed His people; this great abundance is what is left over.”
Y respondióle Azarías sumo sacerdote, de la casa de Sadoc, y dijo: Desde que comenzaron a traer la ofrenda a la casa de Jehová, hemos comido, y hartádonos, y nos ha sobrado mucho: porque Jehová ha bendecido su pueblo, y ha quedado esta multitud.
11 Then Hezekiah commanded them to prepare storerooms in the house of the LORD, and they did so.
Entonces mandó Ezequías que aparejasen cámaras en la casa de Jehová: y las aparejaron.
12 And they faithfully brought in the contributions, tithes, and dedicated gifts. Conaniah the Levite was the officer in charge of them, and his brother Shimei was second.
Y metieron las primicias y diezmos, y las cosas consagradas fielmente, y dieron cargo de ello a Conenías Levita el principal, y a Semeí su hermano el segundo.
13 Jehiel, Azaziah, Nahath, Asahel, Jerimoth, Jozabad, Eliel, Ismachiah, Mahath, and Benaiah were overseers under the authority of Conaniah and his brother Shimei, by appointment of King Hezekiah and of Azariah the chief official of the house of God.
Y Jehiel, Azarías, Nahat, Azael, Jerimot, Josabad, Eliel, Jesmaquías, Mahat, y Banaías, fueron los prepósitos debajo de la mano de Conenías, y de Semeí su hermano, por mandamiento del rey Ezequías, y de Azarías príncipe de la casa de Dios.
14 Kore son of Imnah the Levite, the keeper of the East Gate, was in charge of the freewill offerings given to God, distributing the contributions to the LORD and the consecrated gifts.
Y Coré, hijo de Jemna, Levita, portero al oriente tenía cargo de las limosnas de Dios, y de las ofrendas de Jehová que se daban, y de todo lo que se santificaba.
15 Under his authority, Eden, Miniamin, Jeshua, Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shecaniah faithfully distributed portions to their fellow priests in their cities, according to their divisions, old and young alike.
Y a su mano estaban Edén, Ben-jamín, Jesué, Semeías, Amarías, y Sequenías, en las ciudades de los sacerdotes, para dar con fidelidad a sus hermanos sus partes conforme a sus ordenes, así al mayor como al menor;
16 In addition, they distributed portions to the males registered by genealogy who were three years of age or older—to all who would enter the house of the LORD for their daily duties for service in the responsibilities of their divisions—
Sin lo que se contaba para los varones de edad de tres años y arriba, a todos los que entraban en la casa de Jehová, cada cosa en su día por su ministerio, por sus estancias, y por sus ordenes:
17 and to the priests enrolled according to their families in the genealogy, as well as to the Levites twenty years of age or older, according to their duties and divisions.
Y a los que eran contados entre los sacerdotes por las familias de sus padres, y a los Levitas de edad de veinte años y arriba por sus estancias y ordenes.
18 The genealogy included all the little ones, wives, sons, and daughters in the whole assembly. For they had faithfully consecrated themselves as holy.
Asimismo a los de su generación con todos sus niños, y sus mujeres, y sus hijos, e hijas, para toda la congregación: porque por la fe de estos se repartían las ofrendas.
19 As for the priests, the descendants of Aaron, who lived on the farmlands around each of their cities or in any other city, men were designated by name to distribute a portion to every male among the priests and to every Levite listed by the genealogies.
Asimismo a los hijos de Aarón los sacerdotes, que estaban en los ejidos de sus ciudades, por todas las ciudades, los varones nombrados tenían cargo de dar sus porciones a todos los varones de los sacerdotes, y a todo el linaje de los Levitas.
20 So this is what Hezekiah did throughout Judah. He did what was good and upright and true before the LORD his God.
De esta manera hizo Ezequías en todo Judá, el cual hizo lo bueno, recto, y verdadero delante de Jehová su Dios.
21 He was diligent in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, and in the law and the commandments, in order to seek his God. And so he prospered.
En todo cuanto comenzó en el servicio de la casa de Dios, y en la ley y mandamientos, buscó a su Dios: e hizo de todo corazón, y fue prosperado.
