2 Chronicles 31
1 When all this had ended, the Israelites in attendance went out to the cities of Judah and broke up the sacred pillars, chopped down the Asherah poles, and tore down the high places and altars throughout Judah and Benjamin, as well as in Ephraim and Manasseh, until they had utterly destroyed them all. Then all the Israelites returned to their cities, each to his own property.

2 Hezekiah reestablished the divisions of the priests and Levites—each of them according to their duties as priests or Levites—for the burnt offerings and peace offerings, for ministry, for giving thanks, and for singing praises at the gates of the LORD’s dwelling.
പുരോഹിതന്മാരിലും ലേവ്യരിലും ഓരോരുത്തരുടെയും ചുമതലകളുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ ഹിസ്കിയാവ് അവരെ ഗണങ്ങളായി വേർതിരിച്ചു. ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളും സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളും അർപ്പിക്കാനും ശുശ്രൂഷകൾ ചെയ്യാനും സ്തോത്രം കരേറ്റാനും യഹോവയുടെ തിരുനിവാസത്തിന്റെ പടിവാതിലുകളിൽ സ്തുതിഗീതങ്ങൾ ആലപിക്കാനും അവരെ നിയോഗിച്ചു.
3 The king contributed from his own possessions for the regular morning and evening burnt offerings and for the burnt offerings on the Sabbaths, New Moons, and appointed feasts, as written in the Law of the LORD.
യഹോവയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം അനുശാസിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ, പ്രഭാതത്തിലെയും വൈകുന്നേരത്തെയും ഹോമയാഗങ്ങൾക്കും ശബ്ബത്തുകളിലും അമാവാസികളിലും മറ്റു നിശ്ചിതപെരുന്നാളുകളിലും നടത്തുന്ന ഹോമയാഗങ്ങൾക്കുംവേണ്ടി അദ്ദേഹം തന്റെ സ്വന്തം വകയിൽനിന്ന് വിഹിതം നൽകി.
4 Moreover, he commanded the people living in Jerusalem to make a contribution for the priests and Levites so that they could devote themselves to the Law of the LORD.
പുരോഹിതന്മാരും ലേവ്യരും യഹോവയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ ശ്രദ്ധാലുക്കളായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന് അവർക്ക് അവകാശപ്പെട്ട വിഹിതം കൊടുക്കാൻ രാജാവ് ജെറുശലേംനിവാസികൾക്ക് കൽപ്പനകൊടുത്തു.
5 As soon as the order went out, the Israelites generously provided the firstfruits of the grain, new wine, oil, and honey, and of all the produce of the field, and they brought in an abundance—a tithe of everything.
ഈ കൽപ്പന പ്രസിദ്ധമായ ഉടനെതന്നെ ഇസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ ധാന്യം, വീഞ്ഞ്, ഒലിവെണ്ണ, തേൻ, വയലിലെ ഇതര വിഭവങ്ങൾ എന്നിവയുടെയെല്ലാം ആദ്യഫലം ഉദാരമനസ്സോടെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു. എല്ലാറ്റിന്റെയും ദശാംശവും അവർ ധാരാളമായി കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.
6 And the Israelites and Judahites who lived in the cities of Judah also brought a tithe of their herds and flocks and a tithe of the holy things consecrated to the LORD their God, and they laid them in large heaps.
യെഹൂദ്യയുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിൽ താമസിച്ചിരുന്ന ഇസ്രായേൽജനതയുടെയും യെഹൂദ്യരുടെയും കാര്യത്തിലാകട്ടെ, അവരും തങ്ങളുടെ കാളകൾ, ആടുകൾ എന്നിവയുടെ ദശാംശവും അവരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയ്ക്കു സമർപ്പിച്ചിരുന്ന സകലവിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കളുടെയും ദശാംശവും കൊണ്ടുവന്ന് കൂമ്പാരമായിക്കൂട്ടി.
7 In the third month they began building up the heaps, and they finished in the seventh month.
അവർ മൂന്നാംമാസത്തിൽ ഇപ്രകാരം ചെയ്തുതുടങ്ങി; ഏഴാംമാസത്തിൽ പൂർത്തീകരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
8 When Hezekiah and his officials came and viewed the heaps, they blessed the LORD and His people Israel.
ഹിസ്കിയാവും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും വന്ന് ഈ കൂമ്പാരങ്ങൾ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ അവർ യഹോവയെ പുകഴ്ത്തുകയും അവിടത്തെ ജനമായ ഇസ്രായേലിനെ ആശീർവദിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
9 Then Hezekiah questioned the priests and Levites about the heaps,
ഹിസ്കിയാവ് പുരോഹിതന്മാരോടും ലേവ്യരോടും ഈ കൂമ്പാരങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച് അന്വേഷിച്ചു.
10 and Azariah, the chief priest of the household of Zadok, answered him, “Since the people began to bring their contributions into the house of the LORD, we have had enough to eat and there is plenty left over, because the LORD has blessed His people; this great abundance is what is left over.”
സാദോക്കിന്റെ കുടുംബത്തിലുള്ളവനും പുരോഹിതമുഖ്യനുമായ അസര്യാവ് മറുപടി പറഞ്ഞു: “ജനം തങ്ങളുടെ സംഭാവനകൾ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുവന്നുതുടങ്ങിയതുമുതൽ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു മതിയാകുംവരെ ഭക്ഷിക്കാനും വേണ്ടുവോളം മിച്ചംവെക്കാനുമുണ്ട്. യഹോവ തന്റെ ജനത്തെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതിനാൽ ഇത്രവലിയ ഒരു ശേഖരം ഇവിടെ അവശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.”
11 Then Hezekiah commanded them to prepare storerooms in the house of the LORD, and they did so.
യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലെ ഭണ്ഡാരഗൃഹങ്ങളൊരുക്കാൻ ഹിസ്കിയാവു കൽപ്പനകൊടുത്തു; അതു നിർവഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടു.
12 And they faithfully brought in the contributions, tithes, and dedicated gifts. Conaniah the Levite was the officer in charge of them, and his brother Shimei was second.
സംഭാവനകളും ദശാംശങ്ങളും സമർപ്പിതവസ്തുക്കളും അവർ വിശ്വസ്തതയോടെ അകത്തേക്കെടുത്തു. ലേവ്യനായ കോനന്യാവ് ഈ വസ്തുക്കളുടെ ചുമതലക്കാരനായിരുന്നു; അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ സഹോദരൻ ശിമെയി രണ്ടാംസ്ഥാനക്കാരനും.
13 Jehiel, Azaziah, Nahath, Asahel, Jerimoth, Jozabad, Eliel, Ismachiah, Mahath, and Benaiah were overseers under the authority of Conaniah and his brother Shimei, by appointment of King Hezekiah and of Azariah the chief official of the house of God.
ഹിസ്കിയാരാജാവിന്റെയും ദൈവാലയത്തിന്റെ ചുമതലക്കാരനായ അസര്യാവിന്റെയും നിയോഗപ്രകാരം കോനന്യാവിന്റെയും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ ശിമെയിയുടെയും കീഴിൽ യെഹീയേൽ, അസസ്യാവ്, നഹത്ത്, അസാഹേൽ, യെരീമോത്ത്, യോസാബാദ്, എലീയേൽ, യിസ്മഖ്യാവ്, മഹത്ത്, ബെനായാവ് എന്നിവർ മേൽനോട്ടക്കാരായിരുന്നു.
14 Kore son of Imnah the Levite, the keeper of the East Gate, was in charge of the freewill offerings given to God, distributing the contributions to the LORD and the consecrated gifts.
ലേവ്യനായ യിമ്നായുടെ മകനും കിഴക്കേകവാടത്തിൽ കാവൽക്കാരനുമായ കോരേ ദൈവത്തിനു സമർപ്പിച്ചിരുന്ന സ്വമേധായാഗങ്ങളുടെ മേൽനോട്ടം വഹിച്ചു. യഹോവയ്ക്കായി സമർപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ട സംഭാവനകളും വിശുദ്ധദാനങ്ങളും അദ്ദേഹം വിഭജിച്ചുകൊടുത്തിരുന്നു.
15 Under his authority, Eden, Miniamin, Jeshua, Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shecaniah faithfully distributed portions to their fellow priests in their cities, according to their divisions, old and young alike.
പുരോഹിതനഗരങ്ങളിൽ പ്രായഭേദംകൂടാതെ അവരുടെ സഹപുരോഹിതന്മാർക്ക് അവരവരുടെ ഗണമനുസരിച്ചു വിഭജിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുന്ന കാര്യത്തിൽ ഏദെൻ, മിന്യാമീൻ, യേശുവ, ശെമയ്യാവ്, അമര്യാവ്, ശെഖന്യാവ് എന്നിവർ വിശ്വസ്തതയോടെ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ സഹായിച്ചിരുന്നു.
16 In addition, they distributed portions to the males registered by genealogy who were three years of age or older—to all who would enter the house of the LORD for their daily duties for service in the responsibilities of their divisions—
ഇതിനുംപുറമേ, വംശാവലിരേഖകളിൽ പേരു ചേർക്കപ്പെട്ടവരും മൂന്നുവയസ്സോ അതിൽക്കൂടുതലോ പ്രായമുള്ളവരുമായ പുരുഷാംഗങ്ങൾക്കും തങ്ങളുടെ ഗണങ്ങളും ചുമതലകളും പ്രകാരം തങ്ങളുടെ കർത്തവ്യത്തിൽപ്പെട്ട ജോലികൾ നിർവഹിക്കുന്നതിനു യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ പ്രവേശിക്കാൻ കഴിയുന്ന സകലർക്കും അവർ ഓഹരി വിഭജിച്ചുകൊടുത്തിരുന്നു.
17 and to the priests enrolled according to their families in the genealogy, as well as to the Levites twenty years of age or older, according to their duties and divisions.
വംശാവലിരേഖകളിൽ കുടുംബങ്ങളായി പേരുചേർക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്ന പുരോഹിതന്മാർക്കും ഓഹരികൊടുത്തു; അതുപോലെതന്നെ ഇരുപതു വയസ്സും അതിൽ കൂടുതലും പ്രായമുള്ള ലേവ്യർക്കും അവരുടെ ഗണങ്ങളും ചുമതലകളും പരിഗണിച്ച് ഓഹരി കൊടുത്തിരുന്നു.
18 The genealogy included all the little ones, wives, sons, and daughters in the whole assembly. For they had faithfully consecrated themselves as holy.
ഇക്കാര്യത്തിൽ അവർ വംശാവലിരേഖകളിൽ പേരുള്ള മുഴുവൻ സമൂഹത്തിലെയും ശിശുക്കളെയും ഭാര്യമാരെയും പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തിയിരുന്നു. കാരണം, തങ്ങളെത്തന്നെ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്നകാര്യത്തിൽ അവർ വിശ്വസ്തരായിരുന്നു.
19 As for the priests, the descendants of Aaron, who lived on the farmlands around each of their cities or in any other city, men were designated by name to distribute a portion to every male among the priests and to every Levite listed by the genealogies.
അവരുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങൾക്കു പുറത്തു കൃഷിയിടങ്ങളിലോ മറ്റേതെങ്കിലും പട്ടണത്തിലോ താമസിച്ചിരുന്ന അഹരോന്റെ പിൻതലമുറയിലെ പുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെ കാര്യത്തിലാകട്ടെ, അവരിലെ ഓരോ പുരുഷനും ലേവ്യവംശാവലിയിൽ പേരു രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുള്ള സകലർക്കും ഓഹരി വിഭജിച്ചുകൊടുക്കാൻ പേരെടുത്തുപറഞ്ഞ് ആളുകളെ നിയോഗിച്ചിരുന്നു.
20 So this is what Hezekiah did throughout Judah. He did what was good and upright and true before the LORD his God.
ഹിസ്കിയാവ് ഇപ്രകാരം യെഹൂദ്യയിലെല്ലാം ചെയ്തു. അദ്ദേഹം തന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെമുമ്പാകെ നന്മയും നീതിയും വിശ്വസ്തതയും പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു.
21 He was diligent in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, and in the law and the commandments, in order to seek his God. And so he prospered.
ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയത്തിലെ ശുശ്രൂഷയിലും ന്യായപ്രമാണവും കൽപ്പനകളും അനുസരിക്കുന്ന കാര്യത്തിലും ഹിസ്കിയാവ് ഏറ്റെടുത്ത ഓരോകാര്യത്തിലും അദ്ദേഹം ദൈവത്തെ അന്വേഷിക്കുകയും പൂർണഹൃദയത്തോടെ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. അതിനാൽ അദ്ദേഹം അഭിവൃദ്ധിപ്രാപിച്ചു.
