< 2 Chronicles 27 >
1 Jotham was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem sixteen years. His mother’s name was Jerushah daughter of Zadok.
Yotam dii ɔhene no, na wadi mfirinhyia aduonu enum. Ɔdii ɔhene wɔ Yerusalem mfirinhyia dunsia. Na ne maame a ɔyɛ Sadok babaa no din de Yerusa.
2 And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father Uzziah had done. In addition, he did not enter the temple of the LORD. But the people still behaved corruptly.
Ɔyɛɛ deɛ ɛsɔ Awurade ani sɛdeɛ nʼagya Usia yɛeɛ no. Yotam deɛ, wankɔ Awurade Asɔredan mu sɛdeɛ nʼagya yɛeɛ no. Nanso, ɔmanfoɔ no toaa wɔn nnebɔneyɛ so.
3 Jotham rebuilt the Upper Gate of the house of the LORD, and he worked extensively on the wall at the hill of Ophel.
Yotam sane yɛɛ Atifi Ɛpono a ɛwɔ Awurade Asɔredan no ho, ɛnna ɔsane yɛɛ nnwuma bebree de siesiee ɔfasuo a ɛwɔ Ofel bepɔ so no.
4 He also built cities in the hill country of Judah and fortresses and towers in the forests.
Ɔkyekyeree nkuro wɔ Yuda mmepɔ asase so, sisii aban ne abantenten wɔ mmeammea a wɔadua nnua.
5 Jotham waged war against the king of the Ammonites and defeated them, and that year they gave him a hundred talents of silver, ten thousand cors of wheat, and ten thousand cors of barley. They paid him the same in the second and third years.
Yotam tuu Amonfoɔ so sa, dii wɔn so nkonim. Mfeɛ mmiɛnsa a ɛdi ɛkan no deɛ, ɔgyee wɔn apeatoɔ a ɛyɛ dwetɛ tɔno 3.4, ayuo susukora ɔpeduonum ne atokoɔ susukora ɔpeduonum.
6 So Jotham grew powerful because he ordered his ways before the LORD his God.
Ɔhene Yotam nyaa tumi kɛseɛ, ɛfiri sɛ, ɔde ahwɛyie yɛɛ ɔsetie maa Awurade, ne Onyankopɔn.
7 As for the rest of the acts of Jotham, along with all his wars and his ways, they are indeed written in the Book of the Kings of Israel and Judah.
Yotam ahennie ho nsɛm nkaeɛ a nʼakodie ne ne nneyɛeɛ ahodoɔ ka ho no, wɔatwerɛ agu Israel ahemfo ne Yuda ahemfo nwoma mu.
8 He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem sixteen years.
Ɔdii adeɛ no, na wadi mfirinhyia aduonu enum, na ɔdii ɔhene wɔ Yerusalem mfirinhyia dunsia.
9 And Jotham rested with his fathers and was buried in the City of David. And his son Ahaz reigned in his place.
Yotam wuiɛ no, wɔsiee no Dawid kurom na ne babarima Ahas, na ɔdii nʼadeɛ sɛ ɔhene.
