2 Chronicles 27
1 Jotham was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem sixteen years. His mother’s name was Jerushah daughter of Zadok.
Tinha Jothão vinte e cinco annos d'edade, quando começou a reinar, e dezeseis annos reinou em Jerusalem: e era o nome de sua mãe Jerusa, filha de Zadok.
2 And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father Uzziah had done. In addition, he did not enter the temple of the LORD. But the people still behaved corruptly.
E fez o que era recto aos olhos do Senhor, conforme a tudo o que fizera Uzias, seu pae, excepto que não entrou no templo do Senhor. E ainda o povo se corrompia.
3 Jotham rebuilt the Upper Gate of the house of the LORD, and he worked extensively on the wall at the hill of Ophel.
Este edificou a porta alta da casa do Senhor, e tambem edificou muito sobre o muro d'Ophel.
4 He also built cities in the hill country of Judah and fortresses and towers in the forests.
Tambem edificou cidades nas montanhas de Judah, e edificou nos bosques castellos e torres.
5 Jotham waged war against the king of the Ammonites and defeated them, and that year they gave him a hundred talents of silver, ten thousand cors of wheat, and ten thousand cors of barley. They paid him the same in the second and third years.
Elle tambem guerreou contra o rei dos filhos d'Ammon, e prevaleceu sobre elles, de modo que os filhos d'Ammon n'aquelle anno lhe deram cem talentos de prata, e dez mil coros de trigo, e dez mil de cevada: isto lhe trouxeram os filhos d'Ammon tambem o segundo e o terceiro anno.
6 So Jotham grew powerful because he ordered his ways before the LORD his God.
Assim se fortificou Jothão, porque dirigiu os seus caminhos na presença do Senhor seu Deus.
7 As for the rest of the acts of Jotham, along with all his wars and his ways, they are indeed written in the Book of the Kings of Israel and Judah.
O resto pois dos successos de Jothão, e todas as suas guerras e os seus caminhos eis que está escripto no livro dos reis d'Israel e de Judah.
8 He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem sixteen years.
Tinha vinte e cinco annos d'edade, quando começou a reinar, e dezeseis annos reinou em Jerusalem.
9 And Jotham rested with his fathers and was buried in the City of David. And his son Ahaz reigned in his place.
E dormiu Jothão com seus paes, e o sepultaram na cidade de David: e Achaz, seu filho, reinou em seu logar.
