2 Chronicles 26
1 All the people of Judah took Uzziah, who was sixteen years old, and made him king in place of his father Amaziah.
அதன்பின் யூதாவின் மக்கள் எல்லோரும் அமத்சியாவின் மகனான பதினாறு வயதுடைய உசியாவைக் கொண்டுவந்து அவன் தகப்பனின் இடத்தில் அரசனாக்கினார்கள்.
2 Uzziah was the one who rebuilt Eloth and restored it to Judah after King Amaziah rested with his fathers.
அரசன் அமத்சியா தனது முற்பிதாக்களைப்போல இறந்தபின், உசியா ஏலாத்தைத் திரும்பவும் கட்டி, அதை யூதாவுடன் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டான்.
3 Uzziah was sixteen years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem fifty-two years. His mother’s name was Jecoliah; she was from Jerusalem.
உசியா அவனுடைய பதினாறாவது வயதில் அரசனானான். அவன் எருசலேமில் ஐம்பத்திரண்டு வருடங்கள் அரசாண்டான். அவனுடைய தாயின் பெயர் எக்கோலியாள்; அவள் எருசலேமைச் சேர்ந்தவள்.
4 And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father Amaziah had done.
அவன் தனது தகப்பன் அமத்சியா செய்ததுபோலவே யெகோவாவின் பார்வையில் சரியானதையே செய்தான்.
5 He sought God throughout the days of Zechariah, who instructed him in the fear of God. And as long as he sought the LORD, God gave him success.
இறைபயத்தில் தன்னைப் பயிற்றுவித்த சகரியாவின் நாட்களில் உசியா இறைவனைத் தேடினான். அவன் யெகோவாவைத் தேடிய காலமெல்லாம் இறைவன் அவனுக்கு வெற்றியைக் கொடுத்தார்.
6 Uzziah went out to wage war against the Philistines, and he tore down the walls of Gath, Jabneh, and Ashdod. Then he built cities near Ashdod and among the Philistines.
அவன் பெலிஸ்தியருக்கு எதிராக யுத்தம்செய்யப் போய் காத், அஸ்தோத், யப்னே ஆகிய பட்டணங்களின் மதில்களை உடைத்துப்போட்டான். அதன்பின்பு அவன் அஸ்தோத்தின் அருகிலும், பெலிஸ்தியருக்குள்ளும் பட்டணங்களைக் கட்டினான்.
7 God helped him against the Philistines, against the Arabs living in Gur-baal, and against the Meunites.
இறைவன் பெலிஸ்தியர், கூர்பாகாலிலே வாழ்ந்த அரபியர், மெயூனியர் ஆகியோருக்கு எதிராக அவனுக்கு உதவி செய்தார்.
8 The Ammonites brought tribute to Uzziah, and his fame spread as far as the border of Egypt, for he had become exceedingly powerful.
அம்மோனியர் உசியாவுக்கு வரி கொண்டுவந்தார்கள். அவனுடைய புகழ் எகிப்தின் எல்லைவரை பரவியிருந்தது. ஏனெனில் அவன் மிகவும் பலம்பொருந்திவனாய் இருந்தான்.
9 Uzziah built towers in Jerusalem at the Corner Gate, the Valley Gate, and the angle in the wall, and he fortified them.
உசியா எருசலேமில் மூலைவாசல் அருகிலும், பள்ளத்தாக்கின் வாசல் அருகிலும், மதில்களின் மூலையிலும் கோபுரங்களைக் கட்டி பலப்படுத்தினான்.
10 Since he had much livestock in the foothills and in the plain, he built towers in the desert and dug many cisterns. And since he was a lover of the soil, he had farmers and vinedressers in the hill country and in the fertile fields.
அவன் பாலைவனத்திலும் கோபுரங்களைக் கட்டி, அநேகம் கிணறுகளையும் தோண்டினான். ஏனெனில் அவனிடம் மலையடிவாரத்திலும், சமவெளியிலும் அநேகம் வளர்ப்பு மிருகங்கள் இருந்தன. அவனிடம் அவனுடைய வயல்களிலும், குன்றுகளிலுள்ள திராட்சைத் தோட்டங்களிலும், வளமான நிலங்களிலும் வேலைசெய்வதற்கு மனிதர் இருந்தார்கள். ஏனெனில் அவன் விவசாயத்தை விரும்பினான்.
11 Uzziah had an army ready for battle that went out to war by assigned divisions, as recorded by Jeiel the scribe and Maaseiah the officer under the direction of Hananiah, one of the royal officers.
பிரிவு பிரிவாக யுத்தத்திற்குப் போக திறமையாகப் பயிற்றுவிக்கப்பட்ட இராணுவம் உசியாவிடம் இருந்தது. எண்ணிக்கையின்படியே அவர்கள் அரச அதிகாரிகளில் ஒருவனான அனனியாவின் தலைமையின்கீழ் ஒன்றுதிரட்டப்பட்டார்கள். செயலாளராகிய ஏயேலினாலும், அதிகாரி மாசெயாவினாலும் இவர்கள் ஒன்றுதிரட்டப்பட்டார்கள்.
12 The total number of family leaders of the mighty men of valor was 2,600.
இந்த இராணுவவீரர்களுக்குத் தலைமைவகித்த குடும்பத் தலைவர்களின் மொத்தத்தொகை 2,600 ஆகும்.
13 Under their authority was an army of 307,500 trained for war, a powerful force to support the king against his enemies.
அவர்களின் தலைமையின்கீழ் 3,07,500 மனிதர் யுத்தத்திற்காக பயிற்றுவிக்கப்பட்டிருந்தனர். அரசனுக்கு உதவிசெய்யவும், அவனுடைய பகைவர்களை எதிர்க்கவும் வல்லமையுள்ள படையாக இது இருந்தது.
14 Uzziah supplied the entire army with shields, spears, helmets, armor, bows, and slingstones.
உசியா கேடயங்கள், ஈட்டிகள், தலைக்கவசங்கள், வில்லுகள், கவண்கற்கள் என்பவற்றை முழு இராணுவத்திற்கும் கொடுத்திருந்தான்.
15 And in Jerusalem he made skillfully designed devices to shoot arrows and catapult large stones from the towers and corners. So his fame spread far and wide, for he was helped tremendously so that he became powerful.
அம்புகளை எய்யவும், பெரிய கற்களை வீசி எறியவும், எருசலேமில் கோபுரங்களிலிருந்தும் மூலைப் பாதுகாப்பு அரண்களிலிருந்தும் உபயோகிப்பதற்கு திறமையான மனிதர்களினால் இயந்திரங்களைச் செய்திருந்தான். அவனுடைய புகழ் எல்லா இடங்களிலும் பரவியிருந்தது. ஏனெனில் இறைவன் அவன் பலமுள்ளவனாகும்வரை உதவினார்.
16 But when Uzziah grew powerful, his arrogance led to his own destruction. He was unfaithful to the LORD his God, for he entered the temple of the LORD to burn incense on the altar of incense.
ஆனால் உசியா பலமுடையவனான பின்பு, அவனுடைய அகந்தை அவனுக்கு வீழ்ச்சியை ஏற்படுத்தியது. அவன் தன் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்கு உண்மையற்றவனாய் இருந்து தூபபீடத்தில் தூபங்காட்டும்படி ஆலயத்திற்குள் நுழைந்தான்.
17 Then Azariah the priest, along with eighty brave priests of the LORD, went in after him.
ஆசாரியன் அசரியாவும், தைரியமான இன்னும் எண்பது யெகோவாவின் ஆசாரியரும் அவனைத் தொடர்ந்து உள்ளே போனார்கள்.
18 They took their stand against King Uzziah and said, “Uzziah, you have no right to offer incense to the LORD. Only the priests, the descendants of Aaron, are consecrated to burn incense. Leave the sanctuary, for you have acted unfaithfully; you will not receive honor from the LORD God.”
அவர்கள் அரசனுக்கு எதிர்முகமாகப் போய் நின்று, “உசியாவே, யெகோவாவுக்கு நறுமண தூபங்காட்டுவதற்கு உமக்குத் தகுதியில்லை. அது தூபங்காட்டுவதற்கென பரிசுத்தமாக்கப்பட்ட ஆரோனின் சந்ததிகளான ஆசாரியருக்குரியது. பரிசுத்த இடத்தைவிட்டு வெளியேறும். நீர் பாவம் செய்தீர். நீர் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவாவினால் கனப்படுத்தப்படமாட்டீர்” என்று சொன்னார்கள்.
19 Uzziah, with a censer in his hand to offer incense, was enraged. But while he raged against the priests in their presence in the house of the LORD before the altar of incense, leprosy broke out on his forehead.
தூபங்காட்டும்படி, தூப கலசத்தைக் கையில் வைத்திருந்த உசியா கோபங்கொண்டான். அவன் யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்தில் தூபபீடத்திற்கு முன்பாக ஆசாரியருக்குமுன் கடுங்கோபத்துடன் நிற்கும்போதே அவனுடைய நெற்றியில் குஷ்டவியாதி தோன்றியது.
20 When Azariah the chief priest and all the priests turned to him and saw his leprous forehead, they rushed him out. Indeed, he himself hurried to get out, because the LORD had afflicted him.
பிரதான ஆசாரியன் அசரியாவும் மற்ற ஆசாரியரும் அவனைப் பார்த்தபோது, அவனுடைய நெற்றியில் குஷ்டவியாதி இருப்பதைக் கண்டார்கள். எனவே அவர்கள் விரைவாக அவனை வெளியேற்றினார்கள். உண்மையாகவே யெகோவா தன்னைத் துன்புறுத்தியபடியால் அவனும் உடனே வெளியேறினான்.
21 So King Uzziah was a leper until the day of his death. He lived in isolation, leprous and cut off from the house of the LORD, while his son Jotham had charge of the royal palace to govern the people of the land.
உசியா அரசன் தான் சாகும் நாள்வரை குஷ்டவியாதி உடையவனாகவே இருந்தான். அவன் யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்திலிருந்தும் விலக்கி வைக்கப்பட்டவனாக குஷ்டவியாதியுடன் ஒரு புறம்பான வீட்டில் வாழ்ந்தான். அவனுடைய மகன் யோதாம் அரண்மனைக்குப் பொறுப்பாயிருந்து நாட்டு மக்களை ஆளுகை செய்தான்.
22 As for the rest of the acts of Uzziah, from beginning to end, they are recorded by the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz.
உசியாவின் மற்ற ஆட்சிக்கால நிகழ்ச்சிகள், தொடக்கமுதல் முடிவுவரை இறைவாக்கினன் ஆமோஸின் மகன் ஏசாயாவினால் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளன.
23 And Uzziah rested with his fathers and was buried near them in a field of burial that belonged to the kings; for the people said, “He was a leper.” And his son Jotham reigned in his place.
உசியா தன் முற்பிதாக்களைப்போல இறந்தபின்பு, அரசர்களுக்குச் சொந்தமான அடக்க நிலத்திற்கு அருகில் உள்ள நிலத்தில் அடக்கம் செய்யப்பட்டான். ஏனெனில் அவன், “குஷ்டவியாதி உடையவனாயிருந்தான்” என மக்கள் சொன்னார்கள். அவனுடைய மகன் யோதாம் அவனுடைய இடத்தில் அரசனானான்.
