< 2 Chronicles 21 >

1 And Jehoshaphat rested with his fathers and was buried with them in the City of David. And his son Jehoram reigned in his place.
Jehoshaphat el misa ac pukpuki inkulyuk lun mwet leum in Siti sel David, ac Jehoram wen natul, el aolulla in tokosra.
2 Jehoram’s brothers, the sons of Jehoshaphat, were Azariah, Jehiel, Zechariah, Azariah, Michael, and Shephatiah; these were all sons of Jehoshaphat king of Israel.
Jehoram wen natul Jehoshaphat, tokosra lun Judah, oasr tamulel onkosr wial: Azariah, Jehiel, Zechariah, Azariahu, Michael, ac Shephatiah.
3 Their father had given them many gifts of silver and gold and precious things, as well as the fortified cities in Judah; but he gave the kingdom to Jehoram because he was the firstborn.
Papa tumalos ah sang nu selos lupa na yohk ke silver, gold, ac kutu pac ma saok. El oayapa sang tuh kais sie selos in leumi siti ma kuhlusyukyak in acn Judah. Tuh ke sripen Jehoram pa matu emeet, Jehoshaphat el sang in el pa aolul.
4 When Jehoram had established himself over his father’s kingdom, he strengthened himself by putting to the sword all his brothers along with some of the princes of Israel.
Ke Jehoram el ku na pwaye fin tokosrai sac, el sap in anwuki tamulel lal ah kewa, oayapa kutu mwet pwapa fulat lun Israel.
5 Jehoram was thirty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem eight years.
Jehoram el tokosrala ke el yac tolngoul luo, ac el leum in Jerusalem ke lusen yac oalkosr.
6 And Jehoram walked in the ways of the kings of Israel, just as the house of Ahab had done. For he married a daughter of Ahab and did evil in the sight of the LORD.
El fahsr tukun ouiya koluk lal Tokosra Ahab ac tokosra pac saya lun Israel, mweyen el payuk sin sie sin acn natul Ahab. El orekma koluk lain LEUM GOD,
7 Yet the LORD was unwilling to destroy the house of David, because of the covenant He had made with David, and since He had promised to maintain a lamp for David and his descendants forever.
tusruktu LEUM GOD El tia lungse kunausla tokosra in sou lal David, mweyen El tuh orala wulela se nu sel David mu tulik natul pa ac tokosra nwe tok.
8 In the days of Jehoram, Edom rebelled against the hand of Judah and appointed their own king.
In pacl Jehoram el tokosra, acn Edom tuyak lain ac Judah, ac srengla lukelos ac srukak sie tokosra lalos sifacna.
9 So Jehoram crossed into Edom with his officers and all his chariots. When the Edomites surrounded him and his chariot commanders, he rose up and attacked by night.
Ouinge Jehoram ac captain lun mwet mweun lal ah elos kasrusr ke chariot ac som mweuni mwet Edom. Mwet mweun lun Edom raunelosla, tusruktu mwet Judah elos konoiak inkanek in kaingla ke fong.
10 So to this day Edom has been in rebellion against the hand of Judah. Likewise, Libnah rebelled against his rule at the same time, because Jehoram had forsaken the LORD, the God of his fathers.
In pacl sac me, mwet Edom tila muta ye ku lun mwet Judah. In pacl sacn pacna, siti Libnah tuyak pac lain acn Judah, mweyen Jehoram el pilesru LEUM GOD lun mwet matu lal.
11 Jehoram had also built high places on the hills of Judah; he had caused the people of Jerusalem to prostitute themselves and had led Judah astray.
El musai pac nien alu lun mwet pegan infulan eol in Judah, ac el kol mwet Judah ac mwet Jerusalem in oru ma koluk lain LEUM GOD.
12 Then a letter came to Jehoram from Elijah the prophet, which stated: “This is what the LORD, the God of your father David, says: ‘You have not walked in the ways of your father Jehoshaphat or of Asa king of Judah,
Mwet palu Elijah el supwala leta se nu sel Jehoram, ac pa inge ma simla loac: “LEUM GOD lal David, papa matu tomom, el lain kom mweyen kom tia fahsr ke ouiya lun Tokosra Jehoshaphat, papa tomom, ku Tokosra Asa, papa matu tomom.
13 but you have walked in the ways of the kings of Israel and have caused Judah and the people of Jerusalem to prostitute themselves, just as the house of Ahab prostituted itself. You have also killed your brothers, your father’s family, who were better than you.
A kom fahsr ke lumah lun tokosra Israel ac kolla mwet Judah ac mwet Jerusalem tuh elos in tia inse pwaye nu sin LEUM GOD, oana Ahab ac mwet kol tokol tuh kol mwet Israel in tia pwaye nu sin LEUM GOD. Kom oayapa uniya tamulel lom, sruhk elos wo liki kom.
14 So behold, the LORD is about to strike your people, your sons, your wives, and all your possessions with a serious blow.
Ke sripa inge, LEUM GOD El ac sang kalya upa nu sin mwet lom ac tulik nutum ac mutan kiom, ac El ac fah kunausla ma nukewa lowos.
15 And day after day you yourself will suffer from a severe illness, a disease of your bowels, until it causes your bowels to come out.’”
Ac kom sifacna ac fah keok ke mas lun insiom, ac mas se inge ac fah yokyokelik ke len na len.”
16 Then the LORD stirred against Jehoram the spirit of the Philistines and Arabs who lived near the Cushites.
Kutu mwet Philistia ac mwet Arabia muta apkuran nu yen ma mwet Ethiopia muta we sisken meoa. LEUM GOD El oru tuh elos in som mweunel Jehoram.
17 So they went to war against Judah, invaded it, and carried off all the possessions found in the king’s palace, along with his sons and wives; not a son was left to him except Jehoahaz, his youngest.
Elos utyak nu in acn Judah, ac usla mwe kasrup nukewa inkul sin tokosra, wi mutan nukewa kial oayapa tulik mukul nukewa natul sayal Ahaziah, su fusr oemeet sin tulik natul uh.
18 After all this, the LORD afflicted Jehoram with an incurable disease of the bowels.
Na tukun ma inge nukewa, LEUM GOD El sang nu sin tokosra mas upa ke insial su el arulana keok kac.
19 This continued day after day until two full years had passed. Finally, his intestines came out because of his disease, and he died in severe pain. And his people did not make a fire in his honor as they had done for his fathers.
Mas se lal inge yokyokelikna apkuran in yac luo, na el keoki nwe ke el misa. Mwet lal ah tiana tanak e in eoksra kacl, oana ke elos oru nu sin mwet matu lal meet ah.
20 Jehoram was thirty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem eight years. He died, to no one’s regret, and was buried in the City of David, but not in the tombs of the kings.
Jehoram el mutawauk in tokosra ke el yac tolngoul luo, ac el leum in Jerusalem ke yac oalkosr. Wanginna mwet asor ke el misa. Elos piknilya in Siti sel David, tusruktu tia ke inkulyuk lun mwet leum.
