1 Now Solomon purposed to build a house for the Name of the LORD and a royal palace for himself.
Solomoni pinnu láti kọ́ ilé fún orúkọ Olúwa àti ilé kan fún ìjọba rẹ̀
2 So he conscripted 70,000 porters, 80,000 stonecutters in the mountains, and 3,600 supervisors.
Solomoni sì yan ẹgbẹ̀rún ní ọ̀nà àádọ́rin àwọn ọkùnrin láti ru ẹrù àti ọ̀kẹ́ mẹ́rin àwọn ọkùnrin gẹ́gẹ́ bi olùgé-òkúta ní àwọn òkè àti ẹgbẹ̀rún mẹ́rìndínlógójì gẹ́gẹ́ bí àwọn alábojútó lórí wọn.
3 Then Solomon sent word to Hiram king of Tyre: “Do for me as you did for my father David when you sent him cedars to build himself a house to live in.
Solomoni rán iṣẹ́ yìí sí Hiramu ọba Tire: “Rán àwọn igi kedari sí mi gẹ́gẹ́ bí o ti ṣe fún baba à mi Dafidi. Nígbà tí ó fi igi kedari ránṣẹ́ sí i láti kọ́ ààfin tí ó ń gbé.
4 Behold, I am about to build a house for the Name of the LORD my God to dedicate to Him for burning fragrant incense before Him, for displaying the showbread continuously, and for making burnt offerings every morning and evening as well as on the Sabbaths, New Moons, and appointed feasts of the LORD our God. This is ordained for Israel forever.
Nísinsin yìí, èmi n kọ́ ilé kan fún orúkọ Olúwa Ọlọ́run mi àti láti yà á sí mímọ́ fún un àti láti sun tùràrí olóòórùn dídùn níwájú rẹ̀, fún gbígbé àkàrà ìfihàn ìgbàkúgbà, àti fún ṣíṣe ẹbọ sísun ní gbogbo àárọ̀ àti ìrọ̀lẹ́ àti ní ọjọọjọ́ ìsinmi àti oṣù tuntun àti ní àjọ̀dún tí a yàn ti Olúwa Ọlọ́run wa. Èyí ni àṣẹ fún Israẹli láéláé.
5 The house that I am building will be great, for our God is greater than all gods.
“Ilé Olúwa tí èmi yóò kọ́ yóò tóbi, nítorí pé Ọlọ́run wa tóbi ju gbogbo àwọn ọlọ́run mìíràn lọ.
6 But who is able to build a house for Him, since the heavens, even the highest heavens, cannot contain Him? Who then am I, that I should build a house for Him, except as a place to burn sacrifices before Him?
Ṣùgbọ́n ta ni ó le è kọ́ ilé fún Olúwa, níwọ̀n ìgbà tí àwọn ọ̀run, àní ọ̀run àwọn ọ̀run tó ga jùlọ, kò le è gbà á? Ta ni èmi nígbà náà láti kọ́ ilé fún Olúwa, bí kò ṣe kìkì àti sun ẹbọ sun ẹbọ níwájú rẹ̀?
7 Send me, therefore, a craftsman skilled in engraving to work with gold and silver, with bronze and iron, and with purple, crimson, and blue yarn. He will work with my craftsmen in Judah and Jerusalem, whom my father David provided.
“Nítorí náà, rán ọkùnrin kan sí mi, tí a kọ́ láti ṣiṣẹ́ pẹ̀lú wúrà àti fàdákà àti idẹ àti irin, àti ní àwọ̀ àlùkò àti àwọ̀ pupa fòò àti ní àwọ̀ ojú ọ̀run, tí ó jẹ́ onímọ̀ nínú iṣẹ́ igi gbígbẹ́ láti ṣiṣẹ́ ní Juda àti Jerusalẹmu pẹ̀lú àwọn onímọ̀ oníṣọ̀nà tí baba à mi Dafidi pèsè.
8 Send me also cedar, cypress, and algum logs from Lebanon, for I know that your servants have skill to cut timber there. And indeed, my servants will work with yours
“Fi ìtì igi kedari, junifa àti algumu ránṣẹ́ sí mi, láti Lebanoni, nítorí tí mo mọ̀ pé àwọn ọkùnrin rẹ ní ìmọ̀ nínú gígé igi rírẹ́. Àwọn ọkùnrin mi yóò ṣiṣẹ́ pẹ̀lú àwọn ọkùnrin rẹ.
9 to prepare for me timber in abundance, because the temple I am building will be great and wonderful.
Láti pèsè ọ̀pọ̀ igi rírẹ́ fún mi, nítorí ilé Olúwa tí mo kọ́ gbọdọ̀ tóbi kí o sì lógo púpọ̀.
10 I will pay your servants, the woodcutters, 20,000 cors of ground wheat, 20,000 cors of barley, 20,000 baths of wine, and 20,000 baths of olive oil.”
Èmi yóò fún àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ, àwọn ọkùnrin agégi tí ó ń gé ìtì igi náà ni ogún ẹgbẹ̀rún, alikama ilẹ̀ àti ogún ẹgbẹ̀rún, ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ ti barle; ogún ẹgbẹ̀rún, bati ọtí wáìnì àti ogún ẹgbẹ̀rún bati òróró olifi.”
11 Then Hiram king of Tyre wrote a letter in reply to Solomon: “Because the LORD loves His people, He has set you over them as king.”
Hiramu ọba Tire fèsì padà nípasẹ̀ ìwé sí Solomoni: “Nítorí tí Olúwa fẹ́ràn àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀, ó ti ṣe ọ́ ní ọba wọn.”
12 And Hiram added: “Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, who made the heavens and the earth! He has given King David a wise son with insight and understanding, who will build a temple for the LORD and a royal palace for himself.
Hiramu fi kún un pe, “Ìyìn ni fún Olúwa, Ọlọ́run Israẹli, tí ó dá ọ̀run òun ayé! O ti fún ọba Dafidi ní ọmọ tí ó gbọ́n, tí ó kún fún ìmọ̀ àti òye, tí yóò kọ́ ilé fún Olúwa àti ààfin fún ara rẹ̀.
13 So now I am sending you Huram-abi, a skillful man endowed with creativity.
“Èmi ń rán Huramu-Abi, ọkùnrin tí ó kún fún ìmọ̀ àti òye sí ọ.
14 He is the son of a woman from the daughters of Dan, and his father is a man of Tyre. He is skilled in work with gold and silver, bronze and iron, stone and wood, purple, blue, and crimson yarn, and fine linen. He is experienced in every kind of engraving and can execute any design that is given him. He will work with your craftsmen and with those of my lord, your father David.
Ọmọbìnrin kan nínú àwọn ọmọbìnrin Dani àti tí baba a rẹ̀ wá láti Tire tí ó gbọ́ngbọ́n àti ṣiṣẹ́ ní wúrà àti ní fàdákà, ní idẹ, ní irin, ní òkúta àti ní ìtì igi, ní èse-àlùkò, ní aláró, àti ní ọ̀gbọ̀ tí ó dára, àti òdòdó, láti gbẹ́ onírúurú ohun gbígbẹ́ pẹ̀lú, àti láti ṣe àwárí ìmọ̀ ẹ̀rọ irú ẹ̀yàkẹ́yà tí a ó fún un ṣe. Òun yóò ṣiṣẹ́ pẹ̀lú àwọn ọlọ́gbọ́n rẹ̀, àti pẹ̀lú àwọn ọlọ́gbọ́n olúwa mi, Dafidi baba a rẹ.
15 Now let my lord send to his servants the wheat, barley, olive oil, and wine he promised.
“Nísinsin yìí, jẹ́ kí olúwa mi rán àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ ní alikama àti barle àti òróró Olifi náà àti ọtí tí ó ti ṣe ìlérí.
16 We will cut logs from Lebanon, as many as you need, and we will float them to you as rafts by sea down to Joppa. Then you can take them up to Jerusalem.”
Àwa yóò sì gé gbogbo àwọn ìtí igi láti Lebanoni tí ìwọ yóò lò pẹ̀lú a ó gbé wọn fò lójú omi òkun lọ sí Joppa. Lẹ́yìn náà ìwọ lè kó wọn gòkè lọ sí Jerusalẹmu.”
17 Solomon numbered all the foreign men in the land of Israel following the census his father David had conducted, and there were found to be 153,600 in all.
Solomoni ka iye àwọn àjèjì tí ó wà ní Israẹli lẹ́yìn kíka iye wọn tí baba a rẹ̀ Dafidi ti ṣe; a sì ka iye wọn sí ọ̀kẹ́ mẹ́jọ ó dín egbèjìlélọ́gbọ̀n.
18 Solomon made 70,000 of them porters, 80,000 stonecutters in the mountains, and 3,600 supervisors.
Ó sì yan ẹgbẹ̀rún ní ọ̀nà àádọ́rin nínú wọn láti ru ẹrù, àti ọ̀kẹ́ mẹ́rin láti ṣe àgọ́ òkúta lórí òkè, àti egbèjìdínlógún alábojútó láti kó àwọn ènìyàn ṣiṣẹ́.
