2 Chronicles 15
1 Now the Spirit of God came upon Azariah son of Oded.
| و روح خدا به عزریا ابن عودید نازل شد. | ۱ |
2 So he went out to meet Asa and said to him, “Listen to me, Asa and all Judah and Benjamin. The LORD is with you when you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you, but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.
| و او برای ملاقات آسا بیرون آمده، وی را گفت: «ای آسا و تمامی یهودا وبنیامین از من بشنوید! خداوند با شما خواهد بودهر گاه شما با او باشید و اگر او را بطلبید او راخواهید یافت، اما اگر او را ترک کنید او شما راترک خواهد نمود. | ۲ |
3 For many years Israel has been without the true God, without a priest to instruct them, and without the law.
| و اسرائیل مدت مدیدی بی‌خدای حق و بی‌کاهن معلم و بی‌شریعت بودند. | ۳ |
4 But in their distress they turned to the LORD, the God of Israel, and sought Him, and He was found by them.
| اما چون در تنگیهای خود به سوی یهوه خدای اسرائیل بازگشت نموده، او را طلبیدند او رایافتند. | ۴ |
5 In those days there was no safety for travelers, because the residents of the lands had many conflicts.
| و در آن زمان به جهت هر‌که خروج ودخول می‌کرد هیچ امنیت نبود بلکه اضطراب سخت بر جمیع سکنه کشورها می‌بود. | ۵ |
6 Nation was crushed by nation, and city by city, for God afflicted them with all kinds of adversity.
| و قومی از قومی و شهری از شهری هلاک می‌شدند، چونکه خدا آنها را به هر قسم بلا مضطرب می‌ساخت. | ۶ |
7 But as for you, be strong; do not be discouraged, for your work will be rewarded.”
| اما شما قوی باشید و دستهای شماسست نشود زیرا که اجرت اعمال خود راخواهید یافت.» | ۷ |
8 When Asa heard these words and the prophecy of Azariah son of Oded the prophet, he took courage and removed the detestable idols from the whole land of Judah and Benjamin and from the cities he had captured in the hill country of Ephraim. He then restored the altar of the LORD that was in front of the portico of the LORD’s temple.
| پس چون آسا این سخنان و نبوت (پسر)عودید نبی را شنید، خویشتن را تقویت نموده، رجاسات را از تمامی زمین یهودا و بنیامین و ازشهرهایی که در کوهستان افرایم گرفته بود دورکرد، و مذبح خداوند را که پیش روی رواق خداوند بود تعمیر نمود. | ۸ |
9 And he assembled all Judah and Benjamin, along with those from the tribes of Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon who had settled among them, for great numbers had come over to him from Israel when they saw that the LORD his God was with him.
| و تمامی یهودا وبنیامین و غریبان را که از افرایم و منسی و شمعون در میان ایشان ساکن بودند جمع کرد زیرا گروه عظیمی از اسرائیل چون دیدند که یهوه خدای ایشان با او می‌بود به او پیوستند. | ۹ |
10 So they gathered together in Jerusalem in the third month of the fifteenth year of Asa’s reign.
| پس در ماه سوم از سال پانزدهم سلطنت آسا در اورشلیم جمع شدند. | ۱۰ |
11 At that time they sacrificed to the LORD seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep from all the plunder they had brought back.
| و در آن روز هفتصد گاو و هفت هزار گوسفند از غنیمتی که آورده بودند برای خداوند ذبح نمودند. | ۱۱ |
12 Then they entered into a covenant to seek the LORD, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul.
| و به تمامی دل و تمامی جان خود عهد بستند که یهوه خدای پدران خودرا طلب نمایند. | ۱۲ |
13 And whoever would not seek the LORD, the God of Israel, would be put to death, whether young or old, man or woman.
| و هر کسی‌که یهوه خدای اسرائیل را طلب ننماید، خواه کوچک و خواه بزرگ، خواه مرد و خواه زن، کشته شود. | ۱۳ |
14 They took an oath to the LORD with a loud voice, with shouting, trumpets, and rams’ horns.
| و به صدای بلند و آواز شادمانی و کرناها و بوقها برای خداوند قسم خوردند. | ۱۴ |
15 And all Judah rejoiced over the oath, for they had sworn it with all their heart. They had sought Him earnestly, and He was found by them. So the LORD gave them rest on every side.
| و تمامی یهودا به‌سبب این قسم شادمان شدند زیرا که به تمامی دل خودقسم خورده بودند، و چونکه او را به رضامندی تمام طلبیدند وی را یافتند و خداوند ایشان را ازهر طرف امنیت داد. | ۱۵ |
16 King Asa also removed his grandmother Maacah from her position as queen mother because she had made a detestable Asherah pole. Asa chopped down the pole, crushed it, and burned it in the Kidron Valley.
| و نیز آسا پادشاه مادر خود معکه را از ملکه بودن معزول کرد زیرا که او تمثالی به جهت اشیره ساخته بود و آسا تمثال او را قطع نمود و آن راخرد کرده، در وادی قدرون سوزانید. | ۱۶ |
17 The high places were not removed from Israel, but Asa’s heart was fully devoted all his days.
| امامکانهای بلند از میان اسرائیل برداشته نشد. لیکن دل آسا در تمامی ایامش کامل می‌بود. | ۱۷ |
18 And he brought into the house of God the silver and gold articles that he and his father had dedicated.
| وچیزهایی را که پدرش وقف کرده، و آنچه را که خودش وقف نموده بود از نقره و طلا و ظروف به خانه خداوند درآورده | ۱۸ |
19 And there was no war until the thirty-fifth year of Asa’s reign.
| و تا سال سی و پنجم سلطنت آسا جنگ نبود. | ۱۹ |
