< 2 Chronicles 11 >

1 When Rehoboam arrived in Jerusalem, he mobilized the house of Judah and Benjamin—180,000 chosen warriors—to fight against Israel and restore the kingdom to Rehoboam.
Bere a Rehoboam duu Yerusalem no, ɔboaboaa Yuda ne Benyamin asraafo a wosi pi si ta mpem ɔha aduɔwɔtwe ano, sɛ wɔrekɔko atia Israel asraafo, na wɔagye ahenni no afa.
2 But the word of the LORD came to Shemaiah the man of God:
Na Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Onyankopɔn nipa Semaia se,
3 “Tell Rehoboam son of Solomon king of Judah and all the Israelites in Judah and Benjamin
“Ka kyerɛ Salomo babarima Rehoboam a odi hene wɔ Yuda ne Israelfo a wɔwɔ Yuda ne Benyamin no se,
4 that this is what the LORD says: ‘You are not to go up and fight against your brothers. Each of you must return home, for this word is from Me.’” So they listened to the words of the LORD and turned back from going against Jeroboam.
San wʼakyi kɔ fie, efisɛ me na memaa asɛm a asi no ho kwan!’” Enti wotiee Awurade asɛm no, na wɔanko antia Yeroboam.
5 Rehoboam continued to live in Jerusalem, and he built up cities for defense in Judah.
Rehoboam tenaa Yerusalem, na ɔbɔɔ nkurow ahorow ho ban, maa Yuda yɛɛ den.
6 He built up Bethlehem, Etam, Tekoa,
Ɔkyekyeree Betlehem, Etam, Tekoa,
7 Beth-zur, Soco, Adullam,
Bet-Sur, Soko, Adulam,
8 Gath, Mareshah, Ziph,

Adoraim, Lakis, Aseka,
10 Zorah, Aijalon, and Hebron, the fortified cities in Judah and Benjamin.
Sora, Ayalon ne Hebron. Eyinom ne nkurow a wɔbɔɔ ho ban wɔ Yuda ne Benyamin.
11 He strengthened their fortresses and put officers in them, with supplies of food, oil, and wine.
Ɔkoraa nnuan, ngo ne nsa wɔ kuropɔn biara so.
12 He also put shields and spears in all the cities and strengthened them greatly. So Judah and Benjamin belonged to him.
Ɔde nkatabo ne mpeaw siee wɔ saa nkurow yi mu de hyɛɛ wɔn bammɔ mu den. Enti Yuda ne Benyamin nko ara na wɔbɛhyɛɛ nʼase.
13 Moreover, the priests and Levites from all their districts throughout Israel stood with Rehoboam.
Asɔfo ne Lewifo a na wɔne Israel atifi fam mmusuakuw te no kɔɔ Rehoboam afa.
14 For the Levites left their pasturelands and their possessions and went to Judah and Jerusalem, because Jeroboam and his sons had rejected them as priests of the LORD.
Na Lewifo no mpo gyaw wɔn afi ne wɔn agyapade kɔɔ Yuda ne Yerusalem, efisɛ Yeroboam ne ne mmabarima amma wɔn kwan ansom Awurade sɛ asɔfo.
15 And Jeroboam appointed his own priests for the high places and for the goat demons and calf idols he had made.
Yeroboam yii nʼankasa asɔfo ma wɔsom wɔ abosonsomfo nsɔre so a na wɔsom abirekyi ne nantwimma ahoni a na wɔayɛ.
16 Those from every tribe of Israel who had set their hearts to seek the LORD their God followed the Levites to Jerusalem to sacrifice to the LORD, the God of their fathers.
Israelman mu nyinaa, wɔn a na wɔpɛ sɛ wɔsom Awurade, Israel Nyankopɔn no dii Lewifo no akyi kɔɔ Yerusalem faako a wobetumi de ayɛyɛde ama Awurade, wɔn agyanom Nyankopɔn no.
17 So they strengthened the kingdom of Judah and supported Rehoboam son of Solomon for three years, because they walked for three years in the way of David and Solomon.
18 And Rehoboam married Mahalath, who was the daughter of David’s son Jerimoth and of Abihail, the daughter of Jesse’s son Eliab.

19 She bore sons to him: Jeush, Shemariah, and Zaham.

20 After her, he married Maacah daughter of Absalom, and she bore to him Abijah, Attai, Ziza, and Shelomith.
Akyiri no, ɔwaree Absalom babea Maaka. Maaka woo Abia, Atai, Sisa ne Selomit.
21 Rehoboam loved Maacah daughter of Absalom more than all his wives and concubines. In all, he had eighteen wives and sixty concubines, and he was the father of twenty-eight sons and sixty daughters.
22 Rehoboam appointed Abijah son of Maacah as chief prince among his brothers, intending to make him king.
Rehoboam sii Maaka babarima Abia ahenemmahene ma ɛdaa adi pefee sɛ daakye, ɔno na obedi nʼade sɛ ɔhene.
23 Rehoboam also acted wisely by dispersing some of his sons throughout the districts of Judah and Benjamin, and to all the fortified cities. He gave them abundant provisions and sought many wives for them.
Bio, Rehoboam faa nyansakwan so de dwumadi hyehyɛɛ ne mmabarima a wɔaka no nsa, de wɔn tuatuaa nkurow a wɔabɔ ho ban, wɔ nsase no nyinaa so. Ɔmaa wɔn wɔn ahiade nyinaa, hyehyɛɛ aware bebree maa wɔn mu biara.
