1 Thessalonians 5
1 Now about the times and seasons, brothers, we do not need to write to you.
କିନ୍ତୁ, ହେ ଭାଇମାନେ, କାଳ ଓ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଧିଷ୍ଟ ସମୟ ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ କିଛି ଲେଖିବା ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ନାହିଁ,
2 For you are fully aware that the Day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.
କାରଣ ରାତ୍ରିରେ ଚୋର ଆସିଲା ପରି ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦିନ ଯେ ଆସିବ, ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଉତ୍ତମ ରୂପେ ଜାଣ।
3 While people are saying, “Peace and security,” destruction will come upon them suddenly, like labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
ଯେତେବେଳେ ଲୋକେ ଶାନ୍ତି ଓ ନିରାପଦ ବୋଲି କହୁଥିବେ, ସେତେବେଳେ ଗର୍ଭବତୀର ପ୍ରସବବେଦନା ତୁଲ୍ୟ ହଠାତ୍ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ବିନାଶ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେବ, ଆଉ ସେମାନେ କୌଣସି ପ୍ରକାରେ ରକ୍ଷା ପାଇ ପାରିବେ ନାହିଁ।
4 But you, brothers, are not in the darkness so that this day should overtake you like a thief.
କିନ୍ତୁ, ହେ ଭାଇମାନେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଅନ୍ଧକାରରେ ନାହଁ ଯେ ସେ ଦିନ ଚୋର ପରି ଅନପେକ୍ଷିତ ଭାବରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେବ,
5 For you are all sons of the light and sons of the day; we do not belong to the night or to the darkness.
କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସମସ୍ତେ ଆଲୋକ ଓ ଦିବସର ସନ୍ତାନ। ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ରାତ୍ରି କି ଅନ୍ଧକାରର ସନ୍ତାନ ନୋହୁଁ;
6 So then, let us not sleep as the others do, but let us remain awake and sober.
ଅତଏବ ଆସ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଅଣଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ପରି ନିଦ୍ରିତ ନ ହେଉ, ମାତ୍ର ଜାଗ୍ରତ ହୋଇ ସଚେତନ ରହିବା।
7 For those who sleep, sleep at night; and those who get drunk, get drunk at night.
ଯେଣୁ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ନିଦ୍ରା ଯାଆନ୍ତି, ଆଉ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ମାତାଲ ହୁଅନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ରାତ୍ରିରେ ମାତାଲ ହୁଅନ୍ତି।
8 But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and the helmet of our hope of salvation.
କିନ୍ତୁ ଆସ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଦିବସର ସନ୍ତାନ ହେବାରୁ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଓ ପ୍ରେମରୂପ ଊରସ୍ତ୍ରାଣ ପରିଧାନ କରି, ପରିତ୍ରାଣର ଭରସା ରୂପ ଶିରସ୍ତ୍ରାଣ ମସ୍ତକରେ ଦେଇ ସଚେତନ ରହିଥାଉ।
9 For God has not appointed us to suffer wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
କାରଣ ଈଶ୍ବର ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କ୍ରୋଧର ପାତ୍ର ହେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ନିରୂପଣ ନ କରି ବରଂ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ପରିତ୍ରାଣ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ନିରୂପଣ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି।
10 He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with Him.
ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ମୃତ୍ୟୁଭୋଗ କଲେ, ଯେପରି ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଗ୍ରତ ଥାଉ କିମ୍ବା ନିଦ୍ରିତ ଥାଉ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଜୀବିତ ରହିବୁ।
11 Therefore encourage and build one another up, just as you are already doing.
ଏଣୁ ଯେପରି କରୁଅଛ, ସେହିପରି ପରସ୍ପରକୁ ସାନ୍ତ୍ୱନା ଦିଅ, ପୁଣି, ପରସ୍ପରର ନିଷ୍ଠା ଜନ୍ମାଅ।
12 But we ask you, brothers, to acknowledge those who work diligently among you, who preside over you in the Lord and give you instruction.
ହେ ଭାଇମାନେ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅନୁରୋଧ କରୁଅଛୁ, ଯେଉଁମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ପରିଶ୍ରମ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସେବାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନେତା ସ୍ୱରୂପେ ନିଯୁକ୍ତ ହୋଇ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଚେତନା ଦିଅନ୍ତି, ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ମାନ୍ୟ କର,
13 In love, hold them in highest regard because of their work. Live in peace with one another.
ପୁଣି, ସେମାନଙ୍କ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ସକାଶେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରେମରେ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଆଦର କର। ପରସ୍ପର ସଙ୍ଗରେ ଶାନ୍ତିରେ ରୁହ।
14 And we urge you, brothers, to admonish the unruly, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, and be patient with everyone.
ହେ ଭାଇମାନେ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିବେଦନ କରୁଅଛୁ, ଅବିହିତ ଆଚରଣ କରୁଥିବା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଚେତନା ଦିଅ, ସାହସ ହୀନମାନଙ୍କୁ ସାନ୍ତ୍ୱନା ଦିଅ, ଦୁର୍ବଳମାନଙ୍କୁ ସାହାଯ୍ୟ କର, ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଦୀର୍ଘସହିଷ୍ଣୁ ହୁଅ।
15 Make sure that no one repays evil for evil. Always pursue what is good for one another and for all people.
ସାବଧାନ, କେହି କାହାରି ପ୍ରତି ଅପକାର ବଦଳରେ ଅପକାର ନ କରୁ, ବରଂ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସର୍ବଦା ପରସ୍ପରର ଓ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କର ମଙ୍ଗଳ କରିବାକୁ ସଚେଷ୍ଟା ହୁଅ।
16 Rejoice at all times.
ସର୍ବଦା ଆନନ୍ଦ କର; ନିରନ୍ତର ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କର;
17 Pray without ceasing.
ସବୁ ଅବସ୍ଥାରେ ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ଦିଅ;
18 Give thanks in every circumstance, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କଠାରେ ଏହା ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଅଭିମତ।
19 Do not extinguish the Spirit.
ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କୁ ନିର୍ବାଣ ନ କର;
20 Do not treat prophecies with contempt,
ଭାବବାଣୀ ତୁଚ୍ଛ କର ନାହିଁ;
21 but test all things. Hold fast to what is good.
ବରଂ ସମସ୍ତ ବିଷୟ ପରୀକ୍ଷା କର;
22 Abstain from every form of evil.
ଯାହା ଉତ୍ତମ ତାହା ଧରି ରଖ; ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରକାର ମନ୍ଦତା ଠାରୁ ପୃଥକ୍ ହୋଇଥାଅ।
23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely, and may your entire spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
ଶାନ୍ତିଦାତା ଈଶ୍ବର ସ୍ୱୟଂ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ରୂପେ ପବିତ୍ର କରନ୍ତୁ, ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ଆଗମନ ନିମନ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଆତ୍ମା, ପ୍ରାଣ, ଶରୀର ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦୋଷ ରୂପେ ରକ୍ଷିତ ହେଉ।
24 The One who calls you is faithful, and He will do it.
ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆହ୍ୱାନ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେ ବିଶ୍ୱସ୍ତ, ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସାହାଯ୍ୟ କରିବେ।
25 Brothers, pray for us as well.
ହେ ଭାଇମାନେ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କର।
26 Greet all the brothers with a holy kiss.
ସମସ୍ତ ଭାଇଙ୍କୁ ପବିତ୍ର ଚୁମ୍ବନ ଦେଇ ନମସ୍କାର କର।
27 I charge you before the Lord to have this letter read to all the brothers.
ସମସ୍ତ ଭାଇଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଏହି ପତ୍ର ପାଠ କରାଇବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ମୁଁ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନାମରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶପଥ ଦେଇ ଅନୁରୋଧ କରୁଅଛି।
28 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ହେଉ।
