1 Samuel 7

1 Then the men of Kiriath-jearim came for the ark of the LORD and took it into Abinadab’s house on the hill. And they consecrated his son Eleazar to guard the ark of the LORD.

၁ကိရယတ်ယာရိမ် မြို့သား တို့သည် လာ ၍ ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ သေတ္တာ တော်ကို ဆောင် သွားသဖြင့် ၊ တောင် ပေါ် မှာရှိသော အမိနဒပ် အိမ် ၌ ထား၍ သေတ္တာ တော်ကို စောင့် စေခြင်းငှါ ၊ သူ ၏သား ဧလာဇာ ကို သန့်ရှင်း စေကြ၏။

2 And from that day a long time passed, twenty years in all, as the ark remained at Kiriath-jearim. And all the house of Israel mourned and sought after the LORD.

၂သေတ္တာ တော်သည် အနှစ် နှစ် ဆယ်ပတ်လုံးကြာမြင့် စွာ ကိရယတ်ယာရိမ် မြို့၌ ရှိစဉ်အခါ၊ ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသားအပေါင်း တို့သည် ထာဝရဘုရား ကို အောက်မေ့၍ မြည်တမ်း ကြ၏။

3 Then Samuel said to all the house of Israel, “If you are returning to the LORD with all your hearts, then rid yourselves of the foreign gods and Ashtoreths among you, prepare your hearts for the LORD, and serve Him only. And He will deliver you from the hand of the Philistines.”

၃တဖန် ရှမွေလ က၊ သင်တို့သည် အခြား တပါးသော ဘုရား တည်းဟူသောဗာလဘုရား၊ အာရှတရက် ဘုရားတို့ကို ပယ် ၍ ထာဝရဘုရား အဘို့ သင် တို့စိတ် နှလုံးကို ပြင်ဆင် လျက် ၊ ထာဝရဘုရား ထံ တော်သို့ စိတ် နှလုံးအကြွင်းမဲ့ ပြန် လာသဖြင့်၊ ထိုဘုရားကိုသာ ဝတ်ပြု ကြလျှင် ၊ ဖိလိတ္တိ လူတို့လက် မှ ကယ်တင် တော်မူမည်ဟု ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသားအပေါင်း တို့အား ဆုံးမသည်အတိုင်း၊

4 So the Israelites put away the Baals and Ashtoreths and served only the LORD.

၄ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသား တို့သည် ဗာလ ဘုရား၊ အာရှတရက် ဘုရားတို့ကို ပယ် ၍ ထာဝရဘုရား ကိုသာ ဝတ်ပြု ကြ၏။

5 Then Samuel said, “Gather all Israel to Mizpah, and I will pray to the LORD on your behalf.”

၅ရှမွေလ ကလည်း ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသားအပေါင်း တို့ကို မိဇပါ မြို့၌ စုဝေး စေကြလော့။ သင် တို့အဘို့ ထာဝရဘုရား ကို ငါဆုတောင်း မည်ဟု မှာ ခဲ့သည်အတိုင်း၊

6 When they had gathered at Mizpah, they drew water and poured it out before the LORD. On that day they fasted, and there they confessed, “We have sinned against the LORD.” And Samuel judged the Israelites at Mizpah.

၆သူတို့သည် မိဇပါ မြို့၌ စည်းဝေး သဖြင့် ၊ ရေ ကို ခပ် ၍ ထာဝရဘုရား ရှေ့ တော်၌ သွန်းလောင်း ခြင်း၊ အစာရှောင် ခြင်း အကျင့်တို့ကို ကျင့်လျက်၊ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် ထာဝရဘုရား ကို ပြစ်မှား ပါပြီဟု ဝန်ခံ ကြ၏။ ရှမွေလ သည် မိဇပါ မြို့၌ ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသား တရားမှုတို့ကို စစ်ကြော စီရင်လေ၏။

7 When the Philistines heard that the Israelites had gathered at Mizpah, their rulers marched up toward Israel. And when the Israelites learned of this, they feared the Philistines

၇ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသား တို့သည် မိဇပါ မြို့၌ စည်းဝေး ကြောင်း ကို ဖိလိတ္တိ လူတို့သည် ကြား လျှင် ၊ ဖိလိတ္တိ မင်း တို့သည် ဣသရေလ အမျိုးရှိရာသို့ စစ်ချီ ကြ၏။ ထိုသိတင်းကို ဣသရေလ လူ တို့သည် ကြား လျှင် ၊ ဖိလိတ္တိ လူတို့ကို ကြောက် ၍၊

8 and said to Samuel, “Do not stop crying out to the LORD our God for us, that He may save us from the hand of the Philistines.”

၈ရှမွေလ အား ၊ အကျွန်ုပ် တို့၏ ဘုရား သခင်ထာဝရဘုရား သည် အကျွန်ုပ် တို့ကို ဖိလိတ္တိ လူတို့လက် မှ ကယ်တင် တော်မူမည်အကြောင်း အကျွန်ုပ် တို့အဘို့ အစဉ် မပြတ်ဆုတောင်းပါလော့ဟု ဆို ကြ၏။

9 Then Samuel took a suckling lamb and offered it as a whole burnt offering to the LORD. He cried out to the LORD on behalf of Israel, and the LORD answered him.

၉ရှမွေလ သည်လည်း နို့စို့ သိုးသငယ် ကိုယူ ၍ ထာဝရဘုရား အား တကောင်လုံး မီးရှို့ ရာယဇ်ပူဇော် လျက် ၊ ဣသရေလ အမျိုးအဘို့ ဆုတောင်း၍ ထာဝရဘုရား နားထောင် တော်မူ၏။

10 As the Philistines drew near to fight against Israel, Samuel was sacrificing the burnt offering. But that day the LORD thundered loudly against the Philistines and threw them into such confusion that they fled before Israel.

၁၀ရှမွေလ သည် မီး ရှို့ရာယဇ်ကို ပူဇော် စဉ်အခါ၊ ဖိလိတ္တိ လူတို့သည် ဣသရေလ အမျိုးကို တိုက် ခြင်းငှါ ချဉ်း လာကြ၏။ ထာဝရဘုရား သည်လည်း၊ ထို နေ့၌ ဖိလိတ္တိ လူတို့အပေါ် မှာ ပြင်းစွာ မိုဃ်းချုန်း စေ၍ ၊ သူ တို့တပ်ကို ဖျက် တော်မူသဖြင့် ၊ ဣသရေလ အမျိုးရှေ့ မှာ ရှုံး ကြ၏။

11 Then the men of Israel charged out of Mizpah and pursued the Philistines, striking them down all the way to an area below Beth-car.

၁၁ဣသရေလ လူ တို့သည် မိဇပါ မြို့မှ ထွက် ၍ ဖိလိတ္တိ လူတို့ကို လုပ်ကြံ လျက် ၊ ဗက်ကာ မြို့တိုင်အောင် လိုက် ကြ၏။

12 Afterward, Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen. He named it Ebenezer, saying, “Thus far the LORD has helped us.”

၁၂ထိုအခါ ရှမွေလ သည် ကျောက် ကို ယူ ၍ မိဇပါ မြို့နှင့် ရှင် မြို့စပ်ကြား မှာ ထူထောင် သဖြင့် ၊ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် ငါ တို့ကို ယခု တိုင်အောင် မစ တော်မူပြီဟုဆို လျက် ၊ ထိုကျောက်ကို ဧဗနေဇာ အမည် ဖြင့် မှည့် လေ၏။

13 So the Philistines were subdued, and they stopped invading the territory of Israel. And the hand of the LORD was against the Philistines all the days of Samuel.

၁၃ထိုသို့ ဖိလိတ္တိ လူတို့သည် ရှုံး သဖြင့် ၊ နောက် တဖန် ဣသရေလ အမျိုးနေရာ အရပ်သို့ မ လာ ကြ။ ရှမွေလ လက်ထက်ကာလ ပတ်လုံး ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ လက် တော်သည် ဖိလိတ္တိ လူတို့ကို ဆီးတားတော်မူ၏။

14 The cities from Ekron to Gath, which the Philistines had taken, were restored to Israel, who also delivered the surrounding territory from the hand of the Philistines. And there was peace between the Israelites and the Amorites.

၁၄ဖိလိတ္တိ လူတို့သည် သိမ်းယူ သော ဣသရေလ မြို့ ရွာတို့ကို ဧကြုန် မြို့မှစ၍ ဂါသ မြို့တိုင်အောင် ပြန် ပေးရကြ၏။ မြို့နယ် တို့ကိုလည်း ဣသရေလ လူတို့သည် ဖိလိတ္တိ လူတို့လက် မှ နှုတ်ယူ ကြ၏။ ဣသရေလ လူနှင့် အာမောရိ လူတို့သည်လည်း စစ်မရှိ အသင့် အတင့်နေ ကြ၏။

15 So Samuel judged Israel all the days of his life.

၁၅ရှမွေလ သည် တသက်လုံး ဣသရေလ အမျိုးကို အုပ်စိုး လေ၏။

16 Every year he would go on a circuit from Bethel to Gilgal to Mizpah, judging Israel in all these places.

၁၆ဗေသလ မြို့၊ ဂိလဂါလ မြို့၊ မိဇပါ မြို့တို့ကို နှစ် တိုင်းလှည့်ပတ် ၍ အရပ်ရပ် တွင် ဣသရေလ အမျိုး၌ စီရင်ရန် အမှုတို့ကို စစ်ကြော စီရင်လေ့ရှိ၏။

17 Then he would return to Ramah because his home was there, and there he judged Israel and built an altar to the LORD.

၁၇ပြန် လာသောအခါ ၊ မိမိ အိမ် ရှိသောရာမ မြို့သို့ ပြန်လာ၍ ထိုမြို့မှာလည်းဣသရေလ အမျိုး၌ စီရင် ရန် အမှုတို့ကို စစ်ကြော စီရင်လျက် ၊ ထာဝရဘုရား ဘို့ ယဇ် ပလ္လင်ကိုတည် လျက် နေလေ၏။
