1 Samuel 5
1 After the Philistines had captured the ark of God, they took it from Ebenezer to Ashdod,
১পলেষ্টীয়াসকলে ঈশ্বৰৰ নিয়ম-চন্দুক আটক কৰি এবেন-এজৰৰ পৰা অচ্দোদলৈ নিলে।
2 carried it into the temple of Dagon, and set it beside his statue.
২তাৰ পাছত পলেষ্টীয়াসকলে ঈশ্বৰৰ নিয়ম-চন্দুক দাগোনৰ মন্দিৰলৈ নিলে আৰু দাগোনৰ মূৰ্তিৰ কাষত ৰাখিলে।
3 When the people of Ashdod got up early the next morning, there was Dagon, fallen on his face before the ark of the LORD. So they took Dagon and returned him to his place.
৩পাছদিনা অচ্দোদৰ লোকসকলে ৰাতিপুৱাতে উঠি দেখিলে যে, যিহোৱাৰ নিয়ম-চন্দুকৰ আগত দাগোনৰ মূৰ্তিটো তললৈ মুখ কৰি মাটিত পৰি আছে; সেয়ে তেওঁলোকে দাগোনৰ মূৰ্তিক তুলি পুনৰ নিজ ঠাইত ৰাখিলে।
4 But when they got up early the next morning, there was Dagon, fallen on his face before the ark of the LORD, with his head and his hands broken off and lying on the threshold. Only the torso remained.
৪তাৰ পাছদিনাও তেওঁলোকে পুৱাতে উঠি দেখিলে যে, যিহোৱাৰ চন্দুকৰ সন্মুখত দাগোন মাটিত উবুৰি হৈ পৰি আছে, আৰু দাগোনৰ মুৰটো আৰু হাত দুখন কটাহৈ দুৱাৰ দলিত পৰি আছে; কেৱল তাৰ গাডোখৰ মাথোন অৱশিষ্ট থাকিল।
5 That is why, to this day, the priests of Dagon and all who enter the temple of Dagon in Ashdod do not step on the threshold.
৫সেই কাৰণে দাগোনৰ পুৰোহিত আদি কৰি যিমান লোক দাগোনৰ মন্দিৰত সোমায়, তেওঁলোকৰ মাজৰ কোনেও অচ্দোদত থকা দাগোনৰ দুৱাৰ ডলিত আজি পৰ্য্যন্ত ভৰি নিদিয়ে।
6 Now the hand of the LORD was heavy on the people of Ashdod and its vicinity, ravaging them and afflicting them with tumors.
৬অচ্দোদীয়া লোক সকলৰ ওপৰত যিহোৱাৰ হাত ভাৰযুক্ত আছিল, আৰু তেওঁ তেওঁলোকক ধংস কৰিলে, আৰু অচদোদৰ সীমালৈকে অনেক লোকক বিহ ফোঁহোৰাৰে আঘাত কৰিলে।
7 And when the men of Ashdod saw what was happening, they said, “The ark of the God of Israel must not stay here with us, because His hand is heavy upon us and upon our god Dagon.”
৭অচ্দোদীয়া সকলে তাকে দেখি ক’লে, “ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ঈশ্বৰৰ নিয়ম-চন্দুক আমাৰ ওচৰত থাকিব নোৱাৰে; কিয়নো আমাৰ ওপৰত আৰু আমাৰ দেৱতা দাগোনৰো ওপৰত তেওঁৰ হাত ক্লেশদায়ক হৈছে।”
8 So they called together all the rulers of the Philistines and asked, “What shall we do with the ark of the God of Israel?” “It must be moved to Gath,” they replied. So they carried away the ark of the God of Israel.
৮এই হেতুকে তেওঁলোকে মানুহ পঠাই পলেষ্টীয়াসকলৰ সকলো অধিপতিক নিজৰ ওচৰলৈ মাতি ক’লে, “ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ঈশ্বৰৰ নিয়ম-চন্দুকৰ বিষয়ে আমি কি কৰিম?” তেওঁলোকে ক’লে, “ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ঈশ্বৰৰ নিয়ম-চন্দুক গাতলৈ নিয়া হওঁক।” তেতিয়া তেওঁলোকে ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ঈশ্বৰৰ নিয়ম-চন্দুক সেই ঠাইলৈ লৈ গ’ল।
9 But after they had moved the ark to Gath, the LORD’s hand was also against that city, throwing it into great confusion and afflicting the men of the city, both young and old, with an outbreak of tumors.
৯কিন্তু এইদৰে লৈ যোৱাৰ পাছত যিহোৱাৰ হাত নগৰ খনৰ বিৰুদ্ধে অতিশয় ত্ৰাসযুক্ত হ’ল; তেওঁ নগৰখনৰ বৰ কি সৰু সকলোকে আঘাত কৰাত, তেওঁলোকৰ গাত বিহ ফোঁহোৰা ওলাল।
10 So they sent the ark of God to Ekron, but as it arrived, the Ekronites cried out, “They have brought us the ark of the God of Israel in order to kill us and our people!”
১০সেয়ে, তেওঁলোকে যিহোৱাৰ চন্দুক ইক্ৰোণলৈ পঠালে। কিন্তু যিহোৱাৰ চন্দুক ইক্ৰোণলৈ অহাৰ পাছত, ইক্ৰোণীয়া সকলে চিঞৰি ক’লে, “আমাৰ মানুহবোৰক বধ কৰিবৰ বাবে তেওঁলোকে আমাৰ ওচৰলৈ ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ঈশ্বৰৰ নিয়ম-চন্দুক আনিলে।”
11 Then the Ekronites assembled all the rulers of the Philistines and said, “Send away the ark of the God of Israel. It must return to its place, so that it will not kill us and our people!” For a deadly confusion had pervaded the city; the hand of God was heavy upon it.
১১তাকে দেখি তেওঁলোকে মানুহ পঠাই পলেষ্টীয়াসকলৰ সকলো অধিপতিক গোট খুৱাই ক’লে, “আমাৰ লোকসকলক যেন বধ নকৰে, তাৰ বাবে ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ঈশ্বৰৰ নিয়ম-চন্দুক ইয়াৰ পৰা পঠাই দিয়ক; নিজৰ ঠাইলৈ ইয়াক ঘূৰাই পঠাওঁক।” কিয়নো নগৰৰ সকলো ফালে মহামাৰীৰ ভয়ত লোকসকল ব্যাকুল হৈছিল; কাৰণ ঈশ্বৰৰ শাস্তি দিয়া হাত তেওঁলোকৰ বিৰুদ্ধে উঠিছিল।
12 Those who did not die were afflicted with tumors, and the outcry of the city went up to heaven.
১২যি লোকসকৰ মৃত্যু হোৱা নাছিল, তেওঁলোক বিহ ফোঁহোৰাৰে পীড়িত হৈছিল; যাৰ ফলত নগৰৰ লোকসকলৰ আৰ্তনাদ আকাশলৈকে উঠিল।
