1 Samuel 30
1 On the third day David and his men arrived in Ziklag, and the Amalekites had raided the Negev, attacked Ziklag, and burned it down.
১পরে দায়ূদ ও তার লোকেরা তৃতীয় দিনের সিক্লগে উপস্থিত হলেন৷ এর মধ্যে অমালেকীয়রা দক্ষিণ অঞ্চলেও সিক্লগে চড়াও হয়েছিল, সিক্লগে আঘাত করে তা আগুনে পুড়িয়ে দিয়েছিল৷
2 They had taken captive the women and all who were there, both young and old. They had not killed anyone, but had carried them off as they went on their way.
২তারা সেখানকার স্ত্রী লোক এবং ছোট বড় সবাইকে বন্দী করে নিয়ে গিয়েছিল; তারা কাউকেও হত্যা করে নি, কিন্তু সবাইকে নিয়ে নিজেদের পথে চলে গিয়েছিল৷
3 When David and his men came to the city, they found it burned down and their wives and sons and daughters taken captive.
৩পরে দায়ূদ ও তার লোকেরা যখন সেই নগরে উপস্থিত হলেন, দেখ, নগর আগুনে পুড়ে গিয়েছে ও তাদের স্ত্রী ছেলে মেয়েদের বন্দী করে নিয়ে যাওয়া হয়েছে৷
4 So David and the troops with him lifted up their voices and wept until they had no strength left to weep.
৪তখন দায়ূদ ও তার সঙ্গী লোকেরা উচ্চস্বরে কাঁদতে লাগল, শেষে কাঁদতে তাদের আর শক্তি থাকল না৷
5 David’s two wives, Ahinoam of Jezreel and Abigail the widow of Nabal of Carmel, had been taken captive.
৫ঐ দিন দায়ূদের দুই স্ত্রী, যিষ্রিয়েলীয়া অহীনোয়ম ও কর্মিলীয় নাবলের বিধবা অবীগল বন্দী হয়েছিলেন৷
6 And David was greatly distressed because the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of every man grieved for his sons and daughters. But David found strength in the LORD his God.
৬তখন দায়ূদ খুব ব্যাকুল হলেন, কারণ প্রত্যেক জনের মন নিজের নিজের পুত্র-কন্যার জন্য শোকাকুল হওয়াতে লোকেরা দায়ূদকে পাথর দিয়ে আঘাত করার কথা বলতে লাগলেন; তবুও দায়ূদ নিজের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুতে নিজেকে সবল করলেন৷
7 Then David said to Abiathar the priest, the son of Ahimelech, “Bring me the ephod.” So Abiathar brought it to him,
৭পরে দায়ূদ অহীমেলকের পুত্র অবিয়াথর যাজককে বললেন, “অনুরোধ করি, এখানে আমার কাছে এফোদ আন,” তাতে অবিয়াথর দায়ূদের কাছে এফোদ আনলেন৷
8 and David inquired of the LORD: “Should I pursue these raiders? Will I overtake them?” “Pursue them,” the LORD replied, “for you will surely overtake them and rescue the captives.”
৮তখন দায়ূদ সদাপ্রভুর কাছে এই কথা জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন, “ঐ সৈন্যদলের পিছনে পিছনে গেলে আমি কি তাদের নাগাল পাব?” তিনি তাকে বললেন, “তাদের পিছনে পিছনে তাড়া করে যাও, নিশ্চয়ই তাদের নাগাল পাবে ও সবাইকে উদ্ধার করবে৷”
9 So David and his six hundred men went to the Brook of Besor, where some stayed behind
৯তখন দায়ূদ ও তার সঙ্গী ছয়শো লোক গিয়ে বিষোর স্রোতে উপস্থিত হলে কিছু লোককে সেখানে রাখা হল;
10 because two hundred men were too exhausted to cross the brook. But David and four hundred men continued in pursuit.
১০কিন্তু দায়ূদ ও তার সঙ্গী চারশো লোক শত্রুদের পিছনে পিছনে তাড়া করে গেলেন; কারণ দুশো লোক ক্লান্তির জন্য বিষোর স্রোত পার হতে না পারাতে সেই জায়গায় থাকল৷
11 Now his men found an Egyptian in the field and brought him to David. They gave the man water to drink and food to eat—
১১পরে তারা মাঠের মধ্যে একজন মিস্রীয়কে পেয়ে তাকে দায়ূদের কাছে আনল এবং তাকে রুটি দিলে সে ভোজন করল, আর তারা তাকে জল পান করতে দিল;
12 a piece of a fig cake and two clusters of raisins. So he ate and was revived, for he had not had any food or water for three days and three nights.
১২আর তারা ডুমুরচাকের একখন্ড ও দুই থলে শুকনো দ্রাক্ষা তাকে দিল; তা খেলে পর সে পুনরায় শক্তি লাভ করল, কারণ তিন দিন রাত সে রুটি ভোজন কি জল পান করে নি৷
13 Then David asked him, “To whom do you belong, and where are you from?” “I am an Egyptian,” he replied, “the slave of an Amalekite. My master abandoned me three days ago when I fell ill.
১৩পরে দায়ূদ তাকে জিজ্ঞাসা করল, “তুমি কার লোক? কোন জায়গা থেকে এসেছ?” সে বলল, “আমি একজন মিস্রীয় যুবক, একজন অমালেকীয়ের দাস; আজ তিন দিন হল, আমি অসুস্থ হয়েছিলাম বলে আমার কর্তা আমাকে ত্যাগ করে গেলেন৷
14 We raided the Negev of the Cherethites, the territory of Judah, and the Negev of Caleb, and we burned down Ziklag.”
১৪আমরা করেথীয়দের দক্ষিণ অঞ্চলে, যিহূদার অধিকারে ও কালেবের অধিকারের দক্ষিণ অঞ্চলে চড়াও হয়েছিলাম, আর সিক্লগ আগুনে পুড়িয়ে দিয়েছিলাম৷”
15 “Will you lead me to these raiders?” David asked. And the man replied, “Swear to me by God that you will not kill me or deliver me into the hand of my master, and I will lead you to them.”
১৫পরে দায়ূদ তাকে বললেন, “সেই দলের কাছে কি আমাকে পৌঁছিয়ে দেবে?” সে বলল, “আপনি আমার কাছে ঈশ্বরের নামে দিব্যি করুন যে, আমাকে হত্যা করবেন না, বা আমার কর্তার হাতে আমাকে সমর্পণ করবেন না, তা হলে আমি সেই দলের কাছে আপনাকে পৌঁছিয়ে দেব৷”
16 So he led David down, and there were the Amalekites spread out over all the land, eating, drinking, and celebrating the great amount of plunder they had taken from the land of the Philistines and the land of Judah.
১৬পরে যখন সে তাকে পৌছিয়ে দিল, দেখ, তারা সমস্ত ভূমি জুড়ে, ভোজন পান ও উত্সব করছিল, কারণ পলেষ্টীয়দের দেশ ও যিহূদার দেশ থেকে তারা প্রচুর লুট দ্রব্য এনেছিল৷
17 And David struck them down from twilight until the evening of the next day. Not a man escaped, except four hundred young men who fled, riding off on camels.
১৭দায়ূদ সন্ধ্যা থেকে পরের দিন সন্ধ্যা পর্যন্ত তাদেরকে আঘাত করলেন; তাদেরও মধ্যে একজনও রক্ষা পেল না, শুধু চারশো যুবক উটে চড়ে পালাল৷
18 So David recovered everything the Amalekites had taken, including his two wives.
১৮আর অমালেকীয়েরা যা কিছু নিয়ে গিয়েছিল, দায়ূদ সে সমস্ত উদ্ধার করলেন, বিশেষত দায়ূদ নিজের দুই স্ত্রীকেও মুক্ত করলেন৷
19 Nothing was missing, young or old, son or daughter, or any of the plunder the Amalekites had taken. David brought everything back.
১৯তাদের ছোট কি বড়, পুত্র কি কন্যা, অথবা দ্রব্য সামগ্রী প্রভৃতি যা ওরা নিয়ে গিয়েছিল, তার কিছুই বাদ গেল না; দায়ূদ সবই ফিরিয়ে আনলেন৷
20 And he recovered all the flocks and herds, which his men drove ahead of the other livestock, calling out, “This is David’s plunder!”
২০আর দায়ূদ সমস্ত মেষপাল ও গরুর পাল নিলেন এবং লোকেরা সেগুলিকে অন্য পশুপালের আগে আগে চালাল, আর বলল, “এটা দায়ূদের লুট দ্রব্য৷”
21 When David came to the two hundred men who had been too exhausted to follow him from the Brook of Besor, they came out to meet him and the troops with him. As David approached the men, he greeted them,
২১পরে যে দুশো লোক ক্লান্তির জন্য দায়ূদের পিছনে যেতে পারেনি, যাদেরকে তারা বিষোর স্রোতের ধারে রেখে গিয়েছিলেন, তাদের কাছে দায়ূদ আসলেন; তারা দায়ূদ ও তার সঙ্গী লোকদের সঙ্গে দেখা করতে গেল; আর দায়ূদ লোকেদের সঙ্গে কাছে এসে তাদের খবরাখবর নিলেন৷
22 but all the wicked and worthless men among those who had gone with David said, “Because they did not go with us, we will not share with them the plunder we recovered, except for each man’s wife and children. They may take them and go.”
২২কিন্তু দায়ূদের সঙ্গে যারা গিয়েছিল, তাদের মধ্যে দুষ্ট লোকেরা সবাই বলল, “ওরা আমাদের সঙ্গে যায়নি; অতএব আমরা যে লুট দ্রব্য উদ্ধার করেছি, ওদেরকে তা থেকে কিছুই দেব না, ওরা প্রত্যেকে কেবল নিজের নিজের স্ত্রী ও সন্তানদের নিয়ে চলে যাক৷”
23 But David said, “My brothers, you must not do this with what the LORD has given us. He has protected us and delivered into our hands the raiders who came against us.
২৩তখন দায়ূদ উত্তর করলেন, “হে আমার ভায়েরা, যে সদাপ্রভু আমাদেরকে রক্ষা করে আমাদের বিরুদ্ধে আসা সৈন্যদলকে আমাদের হাতে সমর্পণ করলেন, তিনি আমাদেরকে যা দিলেন, তা নিয়ে তোমরা এরকম কর না৷
24 Who will listen to your proposal? The share of the one who went to battle will match the share of the one who stayed with the supplies. They will share alike.”
২৪কে বা এ বিষয়ে তোমাদের কথা শুনবে? যে যুদ্ধে যায়, সে যেমন অংশ পাবে, যে জিনিসপত্রের কাছে থাকে, সেও সেরকম অংশ পাবে; উভয়ের সমান অংশ হবে৷”
25 And so it has been from that day forward. David established this statute as an ordinance for Israel to this very day.
২৫সেই দিন থেকে দায়ূদ ইস্রায়েলের জন্য এই বিধি ও শাসন স্থির করলেন, এটা আজ পর্যন্ত চলছে৷
26 When David arrived in Ziklag, he sent some of the plunder to his friends, the elders of Judah, saying, “Here is a gift for you from the plunder of the LORD’s enemies.”
২৬পরে দায়ূদ যখন সিক্লগে উপস্থিত হলেন, তখন নিজের বন্ধু যিহূদার প্রাচীনদের কাছে লুট দ্রব্যের কিছু পাঠিয়ে দিয়ে বললেন, “দেখ, সদাপ্রভুর শত্রুদের থেকে আনা লুট দ্রব্যের মধ্যে এটা তোমাদের জন্য উপহার৷”
27 He sent gifts to those in Bethel, Ramoth Negev, and Jattir;
২৭বৈথেল, দক্ষিণ অঞ্চলে অবস্থিত রামোৎ,
28 to those in Aroer, Siphmoth, and Eshtemoa;
২৮যত্তীর, অরোয়ের, শিফমোৎ, ইষ্টিমোয়, রাখলের লোক,
29 to those in Racal and in the cities of the Jerahmeelites and Kenites;
২৯যিরহমেলীয়দের নগর সব, কেনীয়দের নগর সব
30 to those in Hormah, Bor-ashan, and Athach;
৩০হর্ম্মা, বোরআশন, অথাক ও
31 and to those in Hebron and in all the places where David and his men had roamed.
৩১হিব্রোণ, যে যে জায়গায় দায়ূদের ও তার লোকেদের যাতায়াত হত, সে সব জায়গার লোকদের কাছে তিনি তা পাঠালেন৷
