< 1 Samuel 26 >
1 Then the Ziphites came to Saul at Gibeah and said, “Is not David hiding on the hill of Hachilah, opposite Jeshimon?”
Kutu mwet Ziph tuku nu yorol Saul in acn Gibeah, ac fahk nu sel lah David el wikwik oasr Fineol Hachilah, su oan sisken yen mwesis Judea.
2 So Saul, accompanied by three thousand chosen men of Israel, went down to the Wilderness of Ziph to search for David there.
In kitin pacl ah na Saul el tuyak ac eis tolu tausin mwet mweun lun Israel su arulana pulaik, ac som nu yen mwesis in Ziph in sokol David.
3 Saul camped beside the road at the hill of Hachilah opposite Jeshimon, but David was living in the wilderness. When he realized that Saul had followed him there,
Saul ac mwet lal elos tulokinya lohm nuknuk selos ke sisken inkanek soko oan Fineol Hachilah. David el srakna muta yen mwesis uh, ac ke el lohng lah Saul el tuku sokol,
4 David sent out spies to verify that Saul had arrived.
el supwala mwet kalngeyuk ac elos konauk tuh pwaye, Saul el oasr we.
5 Then David set out and went to the place where Saul had camped. He saw the place where Saul and Abner son of Ner, the general of his army, had lain down. Saul was lying inside the inner circle of the camp, with the troops camped around him.
In kitin pacl ah, David el som ac konauk acn se ma Saul ac Abner motul we. (Abner el wen natul Ner, ac captain lun mwet mweun lal Saul.) Saul el motul infulwen nien aktuktuk, ac mwet lal elos raunella.
6 And David asked Ahimelech the Hittite and Abishai son of Zeruiah, Joab’s brother, “Who will go down with me to Saul in the camp?” “I will go with you,” answered Abishai.
Na David el siyuk sel Ahimelech mwet Hit, ac Abishai su ma wial Joab (nina kialtal pa Zeruiah), ac fahk, “Su kac sumtal ac wiyu som nu nien aktuktuk lal Saul?” Abishai el topuk, “Nga ac wi kom.”
7 That night David and Abishai came to the troops, and Saul was lying there asleep in the inner circle of the camp, with his spear stuck in the ground by his head. And Abner and the troops were lying around him.
Na in fong sac, David ac Abishai som ac utyak nu nien aktuktuk lal Saul, ac konalak ke el motul infulwen nien aktuktuk uh, ac osra natul ah kasiki oan sisken sifal. Abner ac mwet mweun elos motul raunella.
8 Abishai said to David, “Today God has delivered your enemy into your hand. Now, therefore, please let me thrust the spear through him into the ground with one stroke. I will not need to strike him twice!”
Ac Abishai el fahk nu sel David, “God El asot mwet lokoalok lom nu inpoum ofong. Lela nga in faksilya inge ke osra natul sifacna. Nga ac faksilya nu infohk uh ke fakfuk sefanna — ac tia enenu in pacl luo!”
9 But David said to Abishai, “Do not destroy him, for who can lift a hand against the LORD’s anointed and be guiltless?”
Tusruktu David el fahk, “Nik kom akkolukyal! LEUM GOD El ac kai kutena mwet su akkolukye moul lun tokosra se su El sulela.”
10 David added, “As surely as the LORD lives, the LORD Himself will strike him down; either his day will come and he will die, or he will go into battle and perish.
Na David el sifil fahk, “Ke Inen LEUM GOD moul, nga etu tuh LEUM GOD El ac fah sifacna unilya Saul — finne ke misa lal in pacl fal lal, ku ke misa lal in pacl mweun.
11 But the LORD forbid that I should stretch out my hand against the LORD’s anointed. Instead, take the spear and water jug by his head, and let us go.”
LEUM GOD Elan ikolyuwi tuh nga in tia akkolukye moul lun mwet se su El sulela in tokosra! Tari kut eis osra natul, ac sufa in neinyuk kof nimal, ac som.”
12 So David took the spear and water jug by Saul’s head, and they departed. No one saw them or knew about it, nor did anyone wake up; they all remained asleep, because a deep sleep from the LORD had fallen on them.
Ouinge David el eis osra in fakfuk natul Saul ac sufa in neinyuk kof nimal su oan sisken sifal, na el ac Abishai som. Wangin mwet liyaltal, ku etu ma orek inge. Wangin pac selos ngutalik, mweyen LEUM GOD El oru tuh elos in folosuwosla ke motul lalos.
13 Then David crossed to the other side and stood atop the mountain at a distance; there was a wide gulf between them.
Na David el som tupalla infahlfal uh nu lac eol laco, ac fanyak nu fin tohktok se loes kutu liki acn Saul ac mwet lal uh muta we,
14 And David shouted to the troops and to Abner son of Ner, “Will you not answer me, Abner?” “Who calls to the king?” Abner replied.
ac el wowoyak ac pang nu sin mwet lal Saul ac nu sel Abner. El fahk, “Abner, kom ku in lohngyu?” Na Abner el fahk, “Ku su wowon, oru oaksalak tokosra uh?”
15 So David said to Abner, “You are a man, aren’t you? And who in Israel is your equal? Why then did you not protect your lord the king when one of the people came to destroy him?
Ac David el fahk, “Abner, ya tia kom pa mwet se ma pwengpeng emeet fin Israel uh? Na efu ku kom tia karingin tokosra lowos ingan? Oasr mwet se ilyak pianga nu in nien aktuktuk lowos an in tuh uniya leum se lowos an.
16 This thing you have done is not good. As surely as the LORD lives, all of you deserve to die, since you did not protect your lord, the LORD’s anointed. Now look around. Where are the king’s spear and water jug that were by his head?”
Kom tiana oru kunokon lom, Abner! Nga fulahk ye mutun LEUM GOD moul lah fal kowos nukewa in misa, mweyen kowos tiana karingin leum lowos an, el su sulosolla sin LEUM GOD tuh elan tokosra. Liye, pia osra in fakfuk natul tokosra ah? Ac pia sufa in kof se ma oan sisken sifal ah?”
17 Then Saul recognized David’s voice and asked, “Is that your voice, David my son?” “It is my voice, my lord and king,” David said.
Saul el akilenak pusracl David, ac el siyuk, “David, wen nutik, ku kom pa ingan?” David el topuk, “Aok, nga pa inge, Leum luk.”
18 And he continued, “Why is my lord pursuing his servant? What have I done? What evil is in my hand?
Na el sifil tafwela ac fahk, “O Leum luk, efu ku kom srakna ukweyu, mwet kulansap lom? Mea nga orala? Ma koluk fuka nga orala?
19 Now please, may my lord the king hear the words of his servant: If the LORD has stirred you up against me, then may He accept an offering. But if men have done it, may they be cursed in the presence of the LORD! For today they have driven me away from sharing in the inheritance of the LORD, saying, ‘Go, serve other gods.’
O tokosra, lohng ma nga fahk inge. Fin LEUM GOD pa pirik kom tuh kom in lainyu, na mwe kisa nu sel ac ku in ekulla nunak lal. A fin mwet pa pirik kom, mwe selnga sin LEUM GOD in oan faclos, ke sripen elos lisyula liki facl sin LEUM GOD, nu in sie facl nga enenu na in alu nu sin god saya we.
20 So do not let my blood fall to the ground far from the presence of the LORD. For the king of Israel has come out to look for a flea, like one who hunts a partridge in the mountains.”
Nikmet lela tuh nga in anwuki in sie facl saya, su loes liki LEUM GOD luk. Efu ku tokosra lun Israel el suk in uniya sie mwet lusrongten oana kuut se? Efu ku el lungse sukyu, oana in won lemnak se pa nga?”
21 Then Saul replied, “I have sinned. Come back, David my son. I will never harm you again, because today you considered my life precious. I have played the fool and have committed a grave error!”
Na Saul el topuk, “Pwaye nga orekma koluk. Foloko, David, wen nutik! Nga ac fah tia sifil akkolukye kom, ke sripen kom tiana eisla moul luk ofong. Nga arulana lalfon, ac ma na koluk se pa nga oru uh!”
22 “Here is the king’s spear,” David answered. “Let one of the young men come over and get it.
David el fahk, “Pa inge osra nutum ah, Leum luk. Supwama sie mwet lom ingan in tuku eis.
23 May the LORD repay every man for his righteousness and faithfulness. For the LORD delivered you into my hand today, but I would not stretch out my hand against the LORD’s anointed.
LEUM GOD El sang ma lacne nu sin mwet su oaru ac suwoswos. Misenge el eiskomme nu inpouk, tuh nga tia lungse akkolukye kom, mweyen kom pa LEUM GOD El sulela tuh kom in tokosra.
24 As surely as I valued your life today, so may the LORD value my life and rescue me from all trouble.”
In oana ke nga molikomla ac tia unikomi misenge, lela tuh LEUM GOD Elan oru oapana nu sik, ac moliyula liki mwe ongoiya nukewa!”
25 Saul said to him, “May you be blessed, David my son. You will accomplish great things and will surely prevail.” So David went on his way, and Saul returned home.
Ac Saul el fahk nu sel David, “God Elan akinsewowoye kom, wen nutik! Kom fah kutangla fin ma nukewa kom oru!” Na David el som inkanek lal, ac Saul el folokla nu in acn sel.
