< 1 Samuel 24 >
1 After Saul had returned from pursuing the Philistines, he was told, “David is in the wilderness of En-gedi.”
Idi nagsubli ni Saul manipud iti panangkamkamatna kadagiti Filisteo, naibaga kenkuana, “Adda ni David iti let-ang ti Engedi.”
2 So Saul took three thousand chosen men from all Israel and went to look for David and his men in the region of the Rocks of the Wild Goats.
Inkuyog ngarud ni Saul ti tallo ribu a napili a lallaki a naggapu iti entero nga Israel ket napanda binirok ni David ken dagiti tattaona idiay Kabatoan nga ayan dagiti Atap a Kalding.
3 Soon Saul came to the sheepfolds along the road, where there was a cave, and he went in to relieve himself. And David and his men were hiding in the recesses of the cave.
Nakagteng isuna kadagiti pagaponan dagiti karnero iti igid ti dalan, nga ayan ti kueba. Immuneg ni Saul tapno umibleng. Ita, agtugtugaw ni David ken dagiti tattaona iti akin un-uneg a paset ti kueba.
4 So David’s men said to him, “This is the day about which the LORD said to you, ‘Behold, I will deliver your enemy into your hand, that you may do with him as you wish.’” Then David crept up secretly and cut off a corner of Saul’s robe.
Kinuna dagiti tattao ni David kenkuana, “Daytoy ti aldaw nga insao ni Yahweh idi imbagana kenka, 'Iyawatkonto ti kabusormo iti imam, tapno maaramidmo kenkuana ti kayatmo.”' Ket timmakder ni David ken nagarudok ket nangragas iti gayadan ti kagay ni Saul.
5 Afterward, David’s conscience was stricken because he had cut off the corner of Saul’s robe.
Kalpasanna, saan a makaidna ni David gapu iti panangragasna iti gayadan ti kagay ni Saul.
6 So he said to his men, “The LORD forbid that I should do such a thing to my master, the LORD’s anointed. May I never lift my hand against him, since he is the LORD’s anointed.”
Kinunana kadagiti tattaona, “Saan koma nga itulok ni Yahweh nga aramidek daytoy iti apok, a pinulotan ni Yahweh, a dangrak isuna agsipud ta ammok a ni Yahweh ti nangpili kenkuana.”
7 With these words David restrained his men, and he did not let them rise up against Saul. Then Saul left the cave and went on his way.
Binagbagaan ngarud ni David dagiti tattaona babaen kadagitoy a sasao, ket saanna ida a pinalubosan a mangdarup kenni Saul. Timmakder ni Saul, pimmanaw isuna idiay kueba ket intuloyna ti nagna.
8 After that, David got up, went out of the cave, and called out to Saul, “My lord the king!” When Saul looked behind him, David bowed facedown in reverence
Kalpasanna, timmakder met ti David, pimmanaw isuna idiay kueba ket pinukkawanna ni Saul: “Apok nga ari.” Idi timmalliaw ni Saul iti malikudanna, nagkurno ni David ket impakitana kenkuana ti panagraemna.
9 and said to Saul, “Why do you listen to the words of men who say, ‘Look, David intends to harm you’?
Kinuna ni David kenni Saul, “Saanka koma a dumngeg kadagiti lallaki a mangibagbaga, 'Kitaem, kayatnaka a dangran ni David.'
10 Behold, this day you have seen with your own eyes that the LORD delivered you into my hand in the cave. I was told to kill you, but I spared you and said, ‘I will not lift my hand against my lord, since he is the LORD’s anointed.’
Ita nga aldaw nakita dagiti matam ti panangiyawat ni Yahweh kenka iti imak idi addata iti uneg ti kueba. Imbaga dagiti dadduma kaniak a patayenka, ngem saanka nga inan-ano. Kinunak, 'Saankonto a dangran ti apok; ta pinulotan isuna ni Yahweh.'
11 See, my father, look at the corner of your robe in my hand. For I cut it off, but I did not kill you. See and know that there is no evil or rebellion in my hands. I have not sinned against you, even though you are hunting me down to take my life.
Kitaem, amak, kitaem ti gayadan ti kagaymo iti imak. Ta kinapudnona, nangragasak iti gayadan ti kagaymo ket saanka a pinatay, maamirismo koma ken makitam koma nga awan ti dakes wenno saanka a liniputan, ken saanak a nagbasol kenka, urayno an-anupennak ken kayatmo a pukawen ti biagko.
12 May the LORD judge between you and me, and may the LORD take vengeance on you, but my hand will never be against you.
Kedngannata koma ni Yahweh, ket ibalesnak koma ni Yahweh maibusor kenka, ngem saankanto a dangran.
13 As the old proverb says, ‘Wickedness proceeds from the wicked.’ But my hand will never be against you.
Kas iti pagsasao a maibagbaga idi, 'Manipud iti nadangkes, umay ti kinadangkes.' Ngem saanakto a bumusor kenka.
14 Against whom has the king of Israel come out? Whom are you pursuing? A dead dog? A flea?
Siasino koma met ngay daytoy nga an-anupen ti ari ti Israel? Siasino ngay koma daytoy a kamkamatem? Iti maysa a natay nga aso! Iti maysa a timel!
15 May the LORD be our judge and decide between you and me. May He take notice and plead my case and deliver me from your hand.”
Ni Yahweh koma ti mangikeddeng ket kedngannata koma a dua, ken usigenna daytoy, ken patganna ti asugko ket palubosannak a makalibas manipud iti imam.”
16 When David had finished saying these things, Saul called back, “Is that your voice, David my son?” Then Saul wept aloud
Apaman a naibaga ni David dagitoy a sasao kenni Saul, kinuna ni Saul, “Timekmo kadi daytoy, anakko a David?” Impukkaw ni Saul ket nagsangit.
17 and said to David, “You are more righteous than I, for you have rewarded me with good, though I have rewarded you with evil.
Kinunana kenni David, “Nalinlintegka ngem siak. Ta sinubadannak iti naimbag, idinto ta siak dakes ti insubadko kenka.
18 And you have shown this day how well you have dealt with me; for when the LORD delivered me into your hand, you did not kill me.
Impakitam ita nga aldaw ti kinaimbagmo kaniak, ta saannak a pinatay idi inyawatnak ni Yahweh iti kaasim.
19 When a man finds his enemy, does he let him go away unharmed? May the LORD reward you with good for what you have done for me this day.
Ta no masarakan ti maysa a tao ti kabusorna, saanna a palubosan a pumanaw daytoy a sitatalged. Gunggonaannaka koma ni Yahweh iti kinaimbag gapu iti inaramidmo kaniak ita nga aldaw.
20 Now I know for sure that you will be king, and that the kingdom of Israel will be established in your hands.
Ita, ammok nga awan duadua nga agbalinkanto nga ari ken mapatalgedto iti imam ti pagarian ti Israel.
21 So now, swear to me by the LORD that you will not cut off my descendants or wipe out my name from my father’s house.”
Isapatam kaniak iti nagan ni Yahweh a saanmonto a pukawen dagiti kaputotak a sumaruno kaniak, ken saanmonto a dadaelen ti naganko manipud iti balay ni amak.”
22 So David gave his oath to Saul. Then Saul returned home, but David and his men went up to the stronghold.
Nagsapata ngarud ni David kenni Saul. Kalpasanna, nagawid ni Saul, ngem simmang-at ni David ken dagiti tattaona a nagturong iti natalged a disso.
