< 1 Peter 5 >
1 As a fellow elder, a witness of Christ’s sufferings, and a partaker of the glory to be revealed, I appeal to the elders among you:
Ine ndikupempha akulu a mpingo amene ali pakati panu, monga inenso mkulu mnzawo, mboni ya zowawa za Khristu ndiponso amene ndidzalandira nawo ulemerero umene uti udzaonetsedwe.
2 Be shepherds of God’s flock that is among you, watching over them not out of compulsion, but because it is God’s will; not out of greed, but out of eagerness;
Wetani gulu la Mulungu limene lili mʼmanja mwanu, muziliyangʼanira. Muzichita osati mowumirizidwa, koma mwakufuna kwanu, monga momwe Mulungu akufunira kuti mutero. Musachite chifukwa chadyera la ndalama, koma ndi mtima ofuna kutumikira.
3 not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.
Musakhale ngati mafumu pa amene mukuwayangʼanira, koma mukhale chitsanzo kwa gululo.
4 And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.
Ndipo Mʼbusa wamkulu akadzaonekera, mudzalandira chipewa cha ulemerero chosafota.
5 Young men, in the same way, submit yourselves to your elders. And all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
Momwemonso, inu anyamata gonjerani amene ndi akulu. Inu nonse mukhale odzichepetsa kuti mutumikirane, chifukwa, “Mulungu amatsutsana nawo odzikuza, koma amapereka chisomo kwa odzichepetsa.”
6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, so that in due time He may exalt you.
Choncho, mudzichepetse pamaso pa Mulungu wamphamvu, kuti pa nthawi yake adzakukwezeni.
7 Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.
Tayani pa Iye nkhawa zanu zonse chifukwa ndiye amakusamalani.
8 Be sober-minded and alert. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
Khalani odziretsa ndi atcheru. Mdani wanu mdierekezi amayendayenda monga mkango wobangula kufunafuna wina kuti amumeze.
9 Resist him, standing firm in your faith and in the knowledge that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kinds of suffering.
Mukaneni iye, ndipo mukhazikike mʼchikhulupiriro, chifukwa mukudziwa kuti abale anzanu pa dziko lonse lapansi nawonso akumva zowawa zomwezi.
10 And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore you, secure you, strengthen you, and establish you. (aiōnios )
Ndipo Mulungu wachisomo chonse, amene anakuyitanani ku ulemerero wake wamuyaya mwa Khristu, mutamva zowawa pa kanthawi, adzakukonzaninso ndi kukulimbitsani pa maziko olimba. (aiōnios )
11 To Him be the power forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
Kwa Iye kukhale mphamvu mpaka muyaya, Ameni. (aiōn )
12 Through Silvanus, whom I regard as a faithful brother, I have written to you briefly, encouraging you and testifying that this is the true grace of God. Stand firm in it.
Mothandizidwa ndi Sila, amene ndi mʼbale wokhulupirika, ndakulemberani mwachidule kukulimbikitsani ndi kuchita umboni kuti ichi ndi chisomo choona cha Mulungu.
13 The church in Babylon, chosen together with you, sends you greetings, as does my son Mark.
Imani mwamphamvu mʼchisomochi. Mlongo wanu amene ali ku Babuloni, wosankhidwa pamodzi nanu akupereka moni, nayenso Marko, mwana wanga, akupereka moni.
14 Greet one another with a kiss of love. Peace to all of you who are in Christ.
Mupatsane moni ndi mpsopsono wachikondi. Mtendere ukhale ndi inu nonse amene muli mwa Khristu.
