1 Peter 4

1 Therefore, since Christ suffered in His body, arm yourselves with the same resolve, because anyone who has suffered in his body is done with sin.

௧இப்படியிருக்க, கிறிஸ்து நமக்காக சரீரத்திலே பாடுகள்பட்டதினால், நீங்களும் அப்படிப்பட்ட சிந்தையை ஆயுதமாக அணிந்துகொள்ளுங்கள்.

2 Consequently, he does not live out his remaining time on earth for human passions, but for the will of God.

௨ஏனென்றால், சரீரத்தில் பாடுபடுகிறவன் இனி சரீரத்தில் இருக்கும் காலம்வரைக்கும் மனிதர்களுடைய இச்சைகளின்படி பிழைக்காமல் தேவனுடைய விருப்பத்தின்படியே பிழைப்பதற்காகப் பாவங்களைவிட்டு விலகியிருப்பான்.

3 For you have spent enough time in the past carrying out the same desires as the Gentiles: living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing, and detestable idolatry.

௩கடந்த வாழ்நாட்களிலே நாம் யூதரல்லாத மக்கள் செய்ய விரும்புவதைபோல செய்துவந்தது போதும்; அப்பொழுது நாம் காமவிகாரத்தையும் தீயஆசைகளையும் நடத்தி, மதுஅருந்தியும், களியாட்டுச்செய்து, வெறிகொண்டு, அருவருப்பான விக்கிரக ஆராதனையைச் செய்துவந்தோம்.

4 Because of this, they consider it strange of you not to plunge with them into the same flood of reckless indiscretion, and they heap abuse on you.

௪அந்தத் துன்மார்க்க உளையிலே அவர்களோடு சேர்ந்து நீங்கள் விழுந்துவிடாமல் இருக்கிறதினாலே அவர்கள் ஆச்சரியப்பட்டு, உங்களை அவமதிக்கிறார்கள்.

5 But they will have to give an account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.

௫உயிரோடு இருக்கிறவர்களுக்கும் மரித்தவர்களுக்கும் நியாயத்தீர்ப்புக் கொடுக்க ஆயத்தமாக இருக்கிறவருக்கு அவர்கள் கணக்கு ஒப்புவிப்பார்கள்.

6 That is why the gospel was preached even to those who are now dead, so that they might be judged as men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

௬இதற்காக மரித்தோர்கள், மனிதர்களுக்கு முன்பாக சரீரத்திலே தண்டனைக்கு உள்ளாக்கப்பட்டிருந்தும், தேவன்முன்பாக ஆவியிலே பிழைப்பதற்காக, அவர்களுக்கும் நற்செய்தி அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது.

7 The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear-minded and sober, so that you can pray.

௭எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் முடிவு நெருங்கிவிட்டது; ஆகவே, தெளிந்த புத்தி உள்ளவர்களாக இருந்து, ஜெபம்பண்ணுவதற்கு கவனம் உள்ளவர்களாக இருங்கள்.

8 Above all, love one another deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

௮எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் மேலாக ஒருவரிலொருவர் ஊக்கமான அன்பு உள்ளவர்களாக இருங்கள்; அன்பு திரளான பாவங்களை மூடும்.

9 Show hospitality to one another without complaining.

௯முறுமுறுப்பு இல்லாமல் ஒருவரையொருவர் உபசரியுங்கள்.

10 As good stewards of the manifold grace of God, each of you should use whatever gift he has received to serve one another.

௧0அவனவன் பெற்றுக்கொண்ட வரத்தின்படியே நீங்கள் தேவனுடைய பற்பல கிருபையுள்ள ஈவுகளைப் பகிர்ந்துகொடுக்கும் நல்ல பொறுப்பாளர்போல, ஒருவருக்கொருவர் உதவிசெய்யுங்கள்.

11 If anyone speaks, he should speak as one conveying the words of God. If anyone serves, he should serve with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)

௧௧ஒருவன் போதனை செய்தால் தேவனுடைய வார்த்தைகளின்படியே போதனை செய்யவேண்டும்; ஒருவன் உதவிசெய்தால் தேவன் தந்தருளும் பெலத்தின்படியே உதவிசெய்யவேண்டும்; எல்லாவற்றிலேயும் இயேசுகிறிஸ்து மூலமாக தேவன் மகிமைப்படும்படியே செய்வீர்களாக; அவருக்கே மகிமையும் வல்லமையும் எல்லாக் காலங்களிலும் உண்டாயிருப்பதாக. ஆமென். (aiōn g165)

12 Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial that has come upon you, as though something strange were happening to you.

௧௨பிரியமானவர்களே, உங்களைப் பரீட்சைப்பார்க்க உங்கள் நடுவில் அக்கினியைப்போன்ற சோதனைகள் வரும்போது ஏதோ புதுமை நடக்கிறது என்று ஆச்சரியப்படாமல்,

13 But rejoice that you share in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed at the revelation of His glory.

௧௩கிறிஸ்துவின் மகிமை வெளிப்படும்போது நீங்கள் களிகூர்ந்து மகிழ்வதற்காக அவருடைய பாடுகளுக்கு நீங்கள் பங்காளிகளானதால் சந்தோஷப்படுங்கள்.

14 If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.

௧௪நீங்கள் கிறிஸ்துவின் நாமத்திற்காக அவமதிக்கப்பட்டால் பாக்கியவான்கள்; ஏனென்றால், தேவனுடைய ஆவியாகிய மகிமையுள்ள ஆவியானவர் உங்கள்மேல் தங்கியிருக்கிறார்; அவர்களாலே அவமதிக்கப்படுகிறார்; உங்களாலே மகிமைப்படுகிறார்.

15 Indeed, none of you should suffer as a murderer or thief or wrongdoer, or even as a meddler.

௧௫ஆகவே, உங்களில் யாரும் கொலைபாதகனாகவோ, திருடனாகவோ, தீங்கு செய்தவனாகவோ, அந்நிய காரியங்களில் தலையிட்டுக்கொண்டவனாகவோ இருந்து பாடுபடுகிறவனாக இருக்கக்கூடாது.

16 But if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but glorify God that you bear that name.

௧௬ஒருவன் கிறிஸ்தவனாக இருப்பதினால் பாடுபட்டால் வெட்கப்படாமல் இருந்து, அதினால் தேவனை மகிமைப்படுத்தவேண்டும்.

17 For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who disobey the gospel of God?

௧௭நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு தேவனுடைய வீட்டிலே ஆரம்பமாகும் காலமாக இருக்கிறது; அது முதலில் நம்மிடத்திலே ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டால் தேவனுடைய நற்செய்திக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாதவர்களின் முடிவு எப்படியாக இருக்கும்?

18 And, “If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?”

௧௮“நீதிமானே இரட்சிக்கப்படுவது கடினமென்றால், பக்தியில்லாதவனும் பாவியும் எங்கே நிற்பார்கள்?

19 So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should entrust their souls to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.

௧௯ஆகவே, தேவனுடைய விருப்பத்தினால் பாடுகளை அனுபவிக்கிறவர்கள் நன்மை செய்கிறவர்களாகத் தங்களுடைய ஆத்துமாக்களை உண்மையுள்ள சிருஷ்டிகர்த்தாவாகிய அவருக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கவேண்டும்.
