1 Kings 9

1 Now when Solomon had finished building the house of the LORD and the royal palace, and had achieved all that he had desired to do,

Şi a fost aşa, după ce Solomon a terminat de construit casa DOMNULUI şi casa împăratului şi toată dorinţa lui Solomon pe care a dorit să o împlinească,

2 the LORD appeared to him a second time, as He had appeared to him at Gibeon.

DOMNUL i s-a arătat lui Solomon a doua oară, precum i se arătase la Gabaon.

3 And the LORD said to him: “I have heard your prayer and petition before Me. I have consecrated this temple you have built by putting My Name there forever; My eyes and My heart will be there for all time.

Şi DOMNUL i-a spus: Am auzit rugăciunea ta şi cererea ta, pe care ai făcut-o înaintea mea; am sfinţit această casă, pe care ai construit-o, pentru a pune numele meu acolo pentru totdeauna; şi ochii mei şi inima mea vor fi acolo întotdeauna.

4 And as for you, if you walk before Me as your father David walked, with a heart of integrity and uprightness, doing all I have commanded you, and if you keep My statutes and ordinances,

Şi dacă vei umbla înaintea mea, precum tatăl tău, David, a umblat în integritate a inimii şi în cinste, pentru a face conform cu tot ce ţi-am poruncit, şi vei păzi statutele mele şi judecăţile mele,

5 then I will establish your royal throne over Israel forever, as I promised your father David when I said, ‘You will never fail to have a man on the throne of Israel.’

Atunci voi întemeia tronul împărăţiei tale peste Israel pentru totdeauna, precum am vorbit lui David, tatăl tău, spunând: Nu îţi va lipsi un bărbat pe tronul lui Israel.

6 But if indeed you or your sons turn away from following Me and do not keep the commandments and statutes I have set before you, and if you go off to serve and worship other gods,

Dar dacă cumva vă veţi întoarce de la a mă urma, voi sau copiii voştri, şi nu veţi păzi poruncile mele şi statutele mele pe care le-am pus înaintea voastră, ci veţi merge şi veţi servi altor dumnezei şi vă veţi închina lor,

7 then I will cut off Israel from the land that I have given them, and I will banish from My presence this temple I have sanctified for My Name. Then Israel will become an object of scorn and ridicule among all peoples.

Atunci voi stârpi pe Israel din ţara pe care le-am dat-o; şi această casă, pe care am sfinţit-o pentru numele meu, o voi arunca dinaintea feţei mele; şi Israel va fi un proverb şi o zicătoare printre toate popoarele;

8 And when this temple has become a heap of rubble, all who pass by it will be appalled and will hiss and say, ‘Why has the LORD done such a thing to this land and to this temple?’

Şi această casă, ce este înaltă, oricine va trece pe lângă ea va fi înmărmurit şi va şuiera către ea; şi vor spune: De ce a făcut DOMNUL astfel ţării acesteia şi casei acesteia?

9 And others will answer, ‘Because they have forsaken the LORD their God who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have embraced other gods, worshiping and serving them—because of this, the LORD has brought all this disaster upon them.’”

Şi vor răspunde: Pentru că au părăsit pe DOMNUL Dumnezeul lor, care i-a scos pe părinţii lor din ţara Egiptului şi au apucat pe alţi dumnezei şi li s-au închinat şi le-au servit; de aceea a adus DOMNUL asupra lor tot acest rău.

10 Now at the end of the twenty years during which Solomon built these two houses, the house of the LORD and the royal palace,

Şi s-a întâmplat, la sfârşitul a douăzeci de ani după ce Solomon construise cele două case, casa DOMNULUI şi casa împăratului,

11 King Solomon gave twenty towns in the land of Galilee to Hiram king of Tyre, who had supplied him with cedar and cypress logs and gold for his every desire.

(Şi Hiram, împăratul Tirului, îl aproviziona pe Solomon cu cedri şi brazi şi aur, conform cu toată dorinţa lui), că împăratul Solomon i-a dat lui Hiram douăzeci de cetăţi în ţara Galileei.

12 So Hiram went out from Tyre to inspect the towns that Solomon had given him, but he was not pleased with them.

Şi Hiram a ieşit din Tir pentru a vedea cetăţile pe care Solomon i le dăduse; şi ele nu i-au plăcut.

13 “What are these towns you have given me, my brother?” asked Hiram, and he called them the Land of Cabul, as they are called to this day.

Şi a spus: Ce sunt aceste cetăţi pe care mi le-ai dat, fratele meu? Şi le-a numit ţara Cabul până în această zi.

14 And Hiram had sent the king 120 talents of gold.

Şi Hiram a trimis împăratului o sută douăzeci de talanţi de aur.

15 This is the account of the forced labor that King Solomon imposed to build the house of the LORD, his own palace, the supporting terraces, and the wall of Jerusalem, as well as Hazor, Megiddo, and Gezer.

Şi acesta este motivul pentru tributul de oameni pe care împăratul Solomon l-a ridicat, pentru a construi casa DOMNULUI şi propria lui casă şi Milo şi zidul Ierusalimului şi Haţor şi Meghido şi Ghezer.

16 Pharaoh king of Egypt had attacked and captured Gezer. He had set it on fire, killed the Canaanites who lived in the city, and given it as a dowry to his daughter, Solomon’s wife.

Fiindcă Faraon, împăratul Egiptului, se urcase şi luase Ghezerul şi îl arsese cu foc şi îi ucisese pe canaaniţii care locuiau în cetate şi o dăduse zestre fiicei sale, soţia lui Solomon.

17 So Solomon rebuilt Gezer, Lower Beth-horon,

Şi Solomon a construit Ghezerul şi Bet-Horonul de jos,

18 Baalath, and Tamar in the Wilderness of Judah,

Şi Baalatul şi Tadmorul în pustie, în ţară,

19 as well as all the store cities that Solomon had for his chariots and horses —whatever he desired to build in Jerusalem, Lebanon, and throughout the land of his dominion.

Şi toate cetăţile pentru rezerve pe care Solomon le avea şi cetăţile pentru carele lui şi cetăţile pentru călăreţii lui şi tot ceea ce Solomon a dorit să construiască în Ierusalim şi în Liban şi în toată ţara stăpânirii sale.

20 As for all the people who remained of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites (the people who were not Israelites)—

Şi tot poporul care era rămas dintre amoriţi, hetiţi, fereziţi, heviţi şi iebusiţi, care nu erau dintre copiii lui Israel,

21 their descendants who remained in the land, those whom the Israelites were unable to devote to destruction —Solomon conscripted these people to be forced laborers, as they are to this day.

Pe copiii lor care rămăseseră după ei în ţară, pe care copiii lui Israel de asemenea nu i-au putut nimici în întregime, peste aceia Solomon a ridicat un tribut de robie până în această zi.

22 But Solomon did not consign any of the Israelites to slavery, because they were his men of war, his servants, his officers, his captains, and the commanders of his chariots and cavalry.

Dar dintre fiii lui Israel, Solomon nu a făcut robi; ci ei erau oameni de război şi servitori ai săi şi prinţi ai săi şi căpetenii ale sale şi conducători ai carelor sale şi călăreţi ai săi.

23 They were also the chief officers over Solomon’s projects: 550 supervisors over the people who did the work.

Aceştia erau mai marii ofiţerilor care erau peste lucrarea lui Solomon: cinci sute cincizeci, care supravegheau poporul care lucra în lucrare.

24 As soon as Pharaoh’s daughter had come up from the City of David to the palace that Solomon had built for her, he built the supporting terraces.

Dar fiica lui Faraon s-a urcat din cetatea lui David la casa ei pe care Solomon o construise pentru ea; atunci a construit el Milo.

25 Three times a year Solomon offered burnt offerings and peace offerings on the altar he had built for the LORD, burning incense with them before the LORD. So he completed the temple.

Şi de trei ori într-un an Solomon aducea ofrande arse şi ofrande de pace pe altarul pe care îl zidise DOMNULUI şi ardea tămâie pe altarul care era înaintea DOMNULUI. Astfel el a terminat casa.

26 King Solomon also assembled a fleet of ships at Ezion-geber, which is near Eloth in Edom, on the shore of the Red Sea.

Şi împăratul Solomon a făcut o flotă de corăbii în Eţion-Gheber, care este lângă Elot, pe ţărmul Mării Roşii, în ţara Edomului.

27 And Hiram sent his servants, men who knew the sea, to serve in the fleet with Solomon’s servants.

Şi Hiram a trimis în flotă pe servitorii săi, marinari care aveau cunoştinţă despre mare, cu servitorii lui Solomon.

28 They sailed to Ophir and imported gold from there—420 talents —and delivered it to Solomon.

Şi au venit la Ofir şi au luat de acolo aur, patru sute douăzeci de talanţi, şi i l-au adus împăratului Solomon.
