1 Kings 6
1 In the four hundred and eightieth year after the Israelites had come out of the land of Egypt, in the month of Ziv, the second month of the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, he began to build the house of the LORD.
௧இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் எகிப்து தேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்ட 480 வருடத்திலும், சாலொமோன் இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் ராஜாவான நான்காம் வருடம் சீப் மாதமாகிய இரண்டாம் மாதத்திலும், அவன் யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டத்தொடங்கினான்.
2 The house that King Solomon built for the LORD was sixty cubits long, twenty cubits wide, and thirty cubits high.
௨சாலொமோன் ராஜா யெகோவாவுக்குக் கட்டின ஆலயம் 90 அடி நீளமும், 30 அடி அகலமும், 45 அடி உயரமுமாக இருந்தது.
3 The portico at the front of the main hall of the temple was twenty cubits long, extending across the width of the temple and projecting out ten cubits in front of the temple.
௩ஆலயமாகிய அந்த மாளிகையின் முகப்பிலே அவன் கட்டின மண்டபம் ஆலயத்தின் அகலத்திற்குச் சமமாக 30 அடி நீளமும், ஆலயத்திற்கு முன்னே 15 அடி அகலமுமாக இருந்தது.
4 He also had narrow windows framed high in the temple.
௪பார்வைக்குக் குறுகிப்போகிற ஒடுக்கமான ஜன்னல்களை ஆலயத்திற்குச் செய்தான்.
5 Against the walls of the temple and the inner sanctuary, Solomon built a chambered structure around the temple, in which he constructed the side rooms.
௫அவன் தேவாலயத்தின் சுவரும் சந்நிதி இடச்சுவருமாகிய ஆலயத்தின் சுவர்களுக்கு அடுத்ததாய்ச் சுற்றுச்சுவரைக் கட்டி, அவைகளில் அறைகளைச் சுற்றிலும் உண்டாக்கினான்.
6 The bottom floor was five cubits wide, the middle floor six cubits, and the third floor seven cubits. He also placed offset ledges around the outside of the temple, so that nothing would be inserted into its walls.
௬கீழே இருக்கிற சுற்றுச்சுவர் 7.6 அடி அகலமும், நடுவே இருக்கிறது 9 அடி அகலமும், மூன்றாவதாக இருக்கிறது 10.6 அடி அகலமுமாக இருந்தது; அவைகள் ஆலயத்தினுடைய விட்டத்தினாலே தாங்காதபடி ஆலயத்தைச் சுற்றிலும் வெளிப்புறமாக ஒட்டுச்சுவர்களைக் கட்டினான்.
7 The temple was constructed using finished stones cut at the quarry, so that no hammer or chisel or any other iron tool was heard in the temple while it was being built.
௭ஆலயம் கட்டப்படும்போது, அது வேலைசெய்யப்பட்டு கொண்டுவரப்பட்ட கற்களாலே கட்டப்பட்டது; ஆகையால் அது கட்டப்படுகிறபோது, சுத்திகள் கோடரிகள் முதலான எந்த இரும்பு ஆயுதங்களின் சத்தமும் அதிலே கேட்கப்படவில்லை.
8 The entrance to the bottom floor was on the south side of the temple. A stairway led up to the middle level, and from there to the third floor.
௮நடு அறைகளுக்குப் போகிற வாசற்படி ஆலயத்தின் வலதுபுறத்தில் இருந்தது; சுழற்படிகளால் நடு அறைகளுக்கும், நடு அறைகளிலிருந்து மூன்றாவது அறைகளுக்கும் ஏறுவார்கள்.
9 So Solomon built the temple and finished it, roofing it with beams and planks of cedar.
௯இவ்விதமாக அவன் ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டி, கேதுரு மர உத்திரங்களாலும் பலகைகளாலும் ஆலயத்தை மூடி ஆலயப்பணியை முடித்தான்.
10 He built chambers all along the temple, each five cubits high and attached to the temple with beams of cedar.
௧0அவன் 7.6 அடி உயரமான சுற்றுக்கட்டுகளை ஆலயத்தின்மேலெங்கும் கட்டினான்; அவைகள் கேதுரு மரங்களால் ஆலயத்தோடு இணைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது.
11 Then the word of the LORD came to Solomon, saying:
௧௧அப்பொழுது யெகோவாவுடைய வார்த்தை சாலொமோனுக்கு உண்டாயிற்று; அவர்:
12 “As for this temple you are building, if you walk in My statutes, carry out My ordinances, and keep all My commandments by walking in them, I will fulfill through you the promise I made to your father David.
௧௨நீ என்னுடைய கட்டளைகளின்படி நடந்து, என்னுடைய நீதி நியாயங்களை நிறைவேற்றி, என்னுடைய கற்பனைகளின்படியெல்லாம் நடந்துகொள்ளும்படி, அவைகளைக் கைக்கொண்டால், நீ கட்டுகிற இந்த ஆலயத்தைக்குறித்து நான் உன்னுடைய தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதோடு சொன்ன என்னுடைய வார்த்தையை உன்னிடத்தில் நிறைவேற்றி,
13 And I will dwell among the Israelites and will not abandon My people Israel.”
௧௩இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களின் நடுவிலே இருந்து, என்னுடைய மக்களாகிய இஸ்ரவேலைக் கைவிடாதிருப்பேன் என்றார்.
14 So Solomon built the temple and finished it.
௧௪அப்படியே சாலொமோன் ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டி முடித்தான்.
15 He lined the interior walls with cedar paneling from the floor of the temple to the ceiling, and he covered the floor with cypress boards.
௧௫ஆலயத்துச் சுவர்களின் உட்புறத்தை, தரை துவங்கி சுவர்களின் மேற்கூரைவரை, கேதுரு பலகைகளால் மூடி, இப்படி உட்புறத்தை மரவேலையால் செய்து, ஆலயத்தின் தரையை தேவதாரு மரங்களின் பலகைகளால் தரையை மூடினான்.
16 He partitioned off the twenty cubits at the rear of the temple with cedar boards from floor to ceiling to form within the temple an inner sanctuary, the Most Holy Place.
௧௬மூடப்பட்ட தரைதுவங்கி சுவர்களின் மேற்கூரைவரை ஆலயத்தின் பக்கங்களைத் தொட்டிருக்கிற 30 அடி நீளமான மறைப்பையும் கேதுரு பலகைகளால் செய்து, உட்புறத்தை மகா பரிசுத்தமான சந்நிதியினிடமாகக் கட்டினான்.
17 And the main hall in front of this room was forty cubits long.
௧௭அதின் முன்னிருக்கிற தேவாலயமாகிய மாளிகை 60 அடி நீளமாக இருந்தது.
18 The cedar paneling inside the temple was carved with gourds and open flowers. Everything was cedar; not a stone could be seen.
௧௮ஆலயத்திற்குள் இருக்கிற கேதுரு மரங்களில் மொக்குகளும் மலர்ந்த பூக்களுமான சித்திரவேலை செய்திருந்தது; பார்வைக்கு ஒரு கல்கூட காணப்படாமல் எல்லாம் கேதுரு மரமாக இருந்தது.
19 Solomon also prepared the inner sanctuary within the temple to set the ark of the covenant of the LORD there.
௧௯யெகோவாவுடைய உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியை வைப்பதற்கு ஆலயத்திற்குள்ளே மகா பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தை ஆயத்தப்படுத்தினான்.
20 The inner sanctuary was twenty cubits long, twenty cubits wide, and twenty cubits high. He overlaid the inside with pure gold, and he also overlaid the altar of cedar.
௨0மகா பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலம் முன்புறம்வரை 30 அடி நீளமும், 30 அடி அகலமும், 30 அடி உயரமுமாக இருந்தது; அதைப் பசும்பொன்தகட்டால் மூடினான்; கேதுருமரப் பலிபீடத்தையும் அப்படியே மூடினான்.
21 So Solomon overlaid the inside of the temple with pure gold, and he extended gold chains across the front of the inner sanctuary, which was overlaid with gold.
௨௧ஆலயத்தின் உட்புறத்தை சாலொமோன் பசும்பொன்தகட்டால் மூடி, மகா பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தின் மறைப்புக்கும் பொன்சங்கிலிகளைக் குறுக்கே போட்டு, அதைப் பொன்தகட்டால் மூடினான்.
22 So he overlaid with gold the whole interior of the temple, until everything was completely finished. He also overlaid with gold the entire altar that belonged to the inner sanctuary.
௨௨இப்படி ஆலயம் முழுவதும் கட்டிமுடியும்வரை, அவன் ஆலயம் முழுவதையும் பொன்தகட்டால் மூடி, மகா பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்திற்கு முன்பாக இருக்கிற பலிபீடத்தை முழுவதும் பொன்தகட்டால் மூடினான்.
23 In the inner sanctuary he made two cherubim, each ten cubits high, out of olive wood.
௨௩மகா பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தில் ஒலிவமரங்களால் இரண்டு கேருபீன்களைச் செய்து வைத்தான்; ஒவ்வொன்றும் 15 அடி உயரமுமாக இருந்தது.
24 One wing of the first cherub was five cubits long, and the other wing was five cubits long as well. So the full wingspan was ten cubits.
௨௪கேருபீனுக்கு இருக்கிற ஒரு இறக்கை 7.6 அடி கேருபீனின் மற்ற இறக்கை 7.6 அடியாக, இப்படி ஒரு இறக்கையின் கடைசிமுனை தொடங்கி மற்ற இறக்கையின் கடைசி முனைவரை 15 அடியாக இருந்தது.
25 The second cherub also measured ten cubits; both cherubim had the same size and shape,
௨௫மற்றக் கேருபீனும் 15 அடியாக இருந்தது; இரண்டு கேருபீன்களும் ஒரே அளவும் ஒரே திட்டமுமாக இருந்தது.
26 and the height of each cherub was ten cubits.
௨௬ஒரு கேருபீன் 15 அடி உயரமாக இருந்தது; மற்றக் கேருபீனும் அப்படியே இருந்தது.
27 And he placed the cherubim inside the innermost room of the temple. Since their wings were spread out, the wing of the first cherub touched one wall, while the wing of the second cherub touched the other wall, and in the middle of the room their wingtips touched.
௨௭அந்தக் கேருபீன்களை உள் ஆலயத்திலே வைத்தான்; கேருபீன்களின் இறக்கைகள் விரித்திருந்ததால், ஒரு கேருபீனின் இறக்கை ஒரு பக்கத்துச்சுவரிலும், மற்றக் கேருபீனின் இறக்கை மறுபக்கத்துச் சுவரிலும் தொடும்படியிருந்தது; ஆலயத்தின் நடுமையத்தில், அவைகளின் இறக்கைகள் ஒன்றோடொன்று தொடத்தக்கதாயிருந்தது.
28 He also overlaid the cherubim with gold.
௨௮அந்தக் கேருபீன்களைப் பொன்தகட்டால் மூடினான்.
29 Then he carved the walls all around the temple, in both the inner and outer sanctuaries, with carved engravings of cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers.
௨௯ஆலயத்தின் சுவர்களையெல்லாம் அவன் சுற்றிலும் உள்ளேயும் வெளியேயுமாகக் கேருபீன்களும் பனை மரங்களும் மலர்ந்த பூக்களுமான சித்திரங்களும் கொத்து வேலைகளுமாக்கினான்.
30 And he overlaid the temple floor with gold in both the inner and outer sanctuaries.
௩0உள்ளேயும் வெளியேயும் இருக்கிற ஆலயத்து தரையையும் பொன்தகட்டால் மூடினான்.
31 For the entrance to the inner sanctuary, Solomon constructed doors of olive wood with five-sided doorposts.
௩௧மகா பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தின் வாசலுக்கு ஒலிவமரங்களால் இரட்டைக் கதவுகளைச் செய்தான்; மேல்சட்டமும் நிலைகளும் மறைப்பின் அளவில் ஐந்தில் ஒரு பங்காக இருந்தது.
32 The double doors were made of olive wood, and he carved into them cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers and overlaid the cherubim and palm trees with hammered gold.
௩௨ஒலிவமரமான அந்த இரட்டைக் கதவுகளில் அவன் கேருபீன்களும் பனை மரங்களும் மலர்ந்த பூக்களுமான சித்திரங்களைச் செய்து, அந்தக் கேருபீன்களிலும் பனை மரங்களிலும் பொன்பதியத்தக்கதாகப் பொன்தகட்டால் மூடினான்.
33 In the same way he made four-sided doorposts of olive wood for the sanctuary entrance.
௩௩இப்படி தேவாலயத்தின் வாசலுக்கும் ஒலிவமர நிலைக்கால்களைச் செய்தான்; அது சுவர் அளவில் நான்கு பக்கமும் ஒரே அளவு சதுரமாக இருந்தது.
34 The two doors were made of cypress wood, and each had two folding panels.
௩௪அதின் இரண்டு கதவுகளும் தேவதாருப் பலகைகளால் செய்யப்பட்டிருந்தது; ஒரு கதவுக்கு இரண்டு மடிப்புப் பலகைகளும், மற்றக் கதவுக்கு இரண்டு மடிப்புப் பலகைகளும் இருந்தது.
35 He carved into them cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers; and he overlaid them with gold, hammered evenly over the carvings.
௩௫அவைகளில் கேருபீன்களும் பனை மரங்களும் மலர்ந்த பூக்களுமான சித்திர வேலையைச் செய்து, சித்திரங்களுக்குச் சமமாகச் செய்யப்பட்ட பொன்தகட்டால் அவைகளை மூடினான்.
36 Solomon built the inner courtyard with three rows of dressed stone and one row of trimmed cedar beams.
௩௬அவன் உட்பிரகாரத்தை மூன்று வரிசை வெட்டின கற்களாலும், ஒரு வரிசை கேதுரு பலகைகளாலும் கட்டினான்.
37 The foundation of the house of the LORD was laid in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign, in the month of Ziv.
௩௭நான்காம் வருடம் சீப் மாதத்திலே யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்திற்கு அஸ்திபாரம் போட்டு,
38 In his eleventh year and eighth month, the month of Bul, the temple was finished in every detail and according to every specification. So he built the temple in seven years.
௩௮11 வது வருடம் பூல் என்னும் 8 வது மாதத்திலே, அந்த ஆலயம்முழுவதும் எல்லா சட்டதிட்டத்தின்படியே ஒருபங்கும் குறையாமல் கட்டி முடிந்தது; அவன் அதைக் கட்டிமுடிக்க 7 வருடங்கள் ஆனது.
