< 1 Kings 5 >
1 Now when Hiram king of Tyre heard that Solomon had been anointed king in his father’s place, he sent envoys to Solomon; for Hiram had always been a friend of David.
Ary Hirama, mpanjakan’ i Tyro, naniraka ny mpanompony ho any amin’ i Solomona, satria reny fa izy no voahosotra ho mpanjaka handimby an-drainy; fa Hirama dia sakaizan’ i Davida hatrizay ela izay.
2 And Solomon relayed this message to Hiram:
Ary Solomona naniraka tany amin’ i Hirama hanao hoe:
3 “As you are well aware, due to the wars waged on all sides against my father David, he could not build a house for the Name of the LORD his God until the LORD had put his enemies under his feet.
Fantatrao fa Davida raiko tsy nahavita trano ho an’ ny anaran’ i Jehovah Andriamaniny noho ny ady nanodidina azy, ambara-panaon’ i Jehovah ireo ho eo ambanin’ ny faladiany.
4 But now the LORD my God has given me rest on every side, and there is no adversary or crisis.
Fa ankehitriny Jehovah Andriamanitro efa nanome ahy fitsaharana amin’ ny manodidina, ka tsy misy fahavalo na loza manjo intsony.
5 So behold, I plan to build a house for the Name of the LORD my God, according to what the LORD said to my father David: ‘I will put your son on your throne in your place, and he will build the house for My Name.’
Ary, indro, izaho mikasa hanao trano ho an’ ny anaran’ i Jehovah Andriamanitro, araka ilay nolazain’ i Jehovah tamin’ i Davida raiko hoe: Ny zanakao izay hapetrako eo amin’ ny seza fiandriananao handimby anao, izy no hanao trano ho an’ ny anarako.
6 Now therefore, order that cedars of Lebanon be cut down for me. My servants will be with your servants, and I will pay your servants whatever wages you set, for you know that there are none among us as skilled in logging as the Sidonians.”
Roa dia mba asaovy misy mikapa hazo sedera any Libanona ho ahy; ary ny vahoakako hiarata amin’ ny vahoakanao, ka ny karaman’ ny vahoakanao dia homeko anao araka izay hotononinao; fa fantatrao fa tsy mba misy olona atỳ aminay mahay mikapa hazo tahaka ny Sidoniana.
7 When Hiram received Solomon’s message, he rejoiced greatly and said, “Blessed be the LORD this day! He has given David a wise son over this great people!”
Ary rehefa ren’ i Hirama ny tenin’ i Solomona, dia faly indrindra izy ka nanao hoe: Ankehitriny izao dia isaorana anie Jehovah, Izay nanome zanakalahy hendry ho Davida hanapaka izao olona betsaka izao.
8 Then Hiram sent a reply to Solomon, saying: “I have received your message; I will do all you desire regarding the cedar and cypress timber.
Ary Hirama naniraka tany amin’ i Solomona hanao hoe: Efa reko ny nanirahanao tatỳ amiko; koa izaho dia hanao izay rehetra irinao ny amin’ ny hazo sedera sy ny hazo kypreso.
9 My servants will haul the logs from Lebanon to the Sea, and I will float them as rafts by sea to the place you specify. There I will separate the logs, and you can take them away. And in exchange, you can meet my needs by providing my household with food.”
Ny vahoakako hitondra azy midìna avy any Libanona ho any amin’ ny ranomasina, ary hofeheziko ka hampandehaniko mitsinkafona amin’ ny rano ho any amin’ izay hotononinao, ary any vao hoberahiko izy, ka dia ianao kosa no hampaka azy; ary ianao dia hanao izay iriko amin’ ny fanomezan-kanina ho an’ ny ankohonako.
10 So Hiram provided Solomon with all the cedar and cypress timber he wanted,
Ary Hirama dia nanome hazo sedera sy hazo kypreso ho an’ i Solomona araka izay rehetra nilainy.
11 and year after year Solomon would provide Hiram with 20,000 cors of wheat as food for his household, as well as 20,000 baths of pure olive oil.
Ary Solomona kosa nanome an’ i Hirama vary tritika roa alina kora ho an’ ny ankohonany ary diloilo roa-polo kora avy amin’ ny oliva voatoto; izany no nomen’ i Solomona an’ i Hirama isan-taona isan-taona.
12 And the LORD gave Solomon wisdom, as He had promised him. There was peace between Hiram and Solomon, and the two of them made a treaty.
Ary Jehovah nanome fahendrena an’ i Solomona, araka izay nolazainy taminy; ary nihavana Hirama sy Solomona, ka nanao fanekena izy roa lahy.
13 Then King Solomon conscripted a labor force of 30,000 men from all Israel.
Ary Solomona mpanjaka naka olona tamin’ ny Isiraely rehetra hanao fanompoana, ka olona telo alina no nalainy.
14 He sent them to Lebanon in monthly shifts of 10,000 men, so that they would spend one month in Lebanon and two months at home. And Adoniram was in charge of the forced labor.
Ary nirahiny nankany Libanona ireny, dia iray alina no indray milatsaka isam-bolana; iray volana izy no tany Libanona, ary roa volana kosa mba tany an-tranony; ary Adonirama no nifehy azy rehetra.
15 Solomon had 70,000 porters and 80,000 stonecutters in the mountains,
Ary Solomona nanana mpitondra entana fito alina sy tambato valo alina teny an-tendrombohitra,
16 not including his 3,300 foremen who supervised the workers.
afa-tsy ny lehiben’ ireo olona voatendrin’ i Solomona ireo, izay nitandrina ny raharaha, dia telonjato amby telo arivo lahy izay nifehy ny mpiasa.
17 And the king commanded them to quarry large, costly stones to lay the foundation of the temple with dressed stones.
Ary ny mpanjaka dia nandidy hanamboatra vato vaventy tsara sady voapaika hatao fanorenan’ ny trano.
18 So Solomon’s and Hiram’s builders, along with the Gebalites, quarried the stone and prepared the timber and stone for the construction of the temple.
Ary ny mpiasan’ i Solomona sy Hirama (indrindra fa ny avy any Gebala) no nipaika sy nanamboatra ny hazo sy ny vato hatao trano.
