1 Kings 4
1 So King Solomon ruled over Israel,
Foi, pois, o rei Salomão rei sobre todo Israel.
2 and these were his chief officials: Azariah son of Zadok was the priest;
E estes foram os príncipes que teve: Azarias filho de Zadoque, sacerdote;
3 Elihoreph and Ahijah, the sons of Shisha, were secretaries; Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud was the recorder;
Eliorefe e Aías, filhos de Sisa, escribas; Josafá filho de Ailude, chanceler;
4 Benaiah son of Jehoiada was in charge of the army; Zadok and Abiathar were priests;
Benaia filho de Joiada era sobre o exército; e Zadoque e Abiatar eram os sacerdotes;
5 Azariah son of Nathan was in charge of the governors; Zabud son of Nathan was a priest and adviser to the king;

6 Ahishar was in charge of the palace; and Adoniram son of Abda was in charge of the forced labor.

7 Solomon had twelve governors over all Israel to provide food for the king and his household. Each one would arrange provisions for one month of the year,
E tinha Salomão doze governadores sobre todo Israel, os quais mantinham ao rei e à sua casa. Cada um deles estava obrigado a abastecer por um mês no ano.
8 and these were their names: Ben-hur in the hill country of Ephraim;
E estes são os nomes deles: Ben-Hur no monte de Efraim;
9 Ben-deker in Makaz, in Shaalbim, in Beth-shemesh, and in Elon-beth-hanan;
Ben-Dequer, em Macaz, e em Saalbim, e em Bete-Semes, e em Elom-Bete-Hanã;
10 Ben-hesed in Arubboth (Socoh and all the land of Hepher belonged to him);
Ben-Hesede, em Arubote; este tinha também a Socó e toda a terra de Hefer.
11 Ben-abinadab in Naphath-dor (Taphath, a daughter of Solomon, was his wife);
Ben-Abinadabe, em toda a região de Dor: este tinha por mulher a Tafate filha de Salomão;
12 Baana son of Ahilud in Taanach, in Megiddo, and in all of Beth-shean next to Zarethan below Jezreel, from Beth-shean to Abel-meholah and on past Jokmeam;
Baana filho de Ailude, em Taanaque e Megido, e em toda Bete-Seã, que é próxima de Zaretã, por abaixo de Jezreel, desde Bete-Seã até Abel-Meolá, e até a outra parte de Jocmeão;
13 Ben-geber in Ramoth-gilead (the villages of Jair son of Manasseh in Gilead belonged to him, as well as the region of Argob in Bashan with its sixty great cities with walls and bronze bars);
Ben-Geber, em Ramote de Gileade; este tinha também as cidades de Jair filho de Manassés, as quais estavam em Gileade; tinha também a província de Argobe, que era em Basã, sessenta grandes cidades com muro e fechaduras de bronze;
14 Ahinadab son of Iddo in Mahanaim;
Ainadabe filho de Ido, em Maanaim;
15 Ahimaaz in Naphtali (he had married Basemath, a daughter of Solomon);
Aimaás em Naftali; este tomou também por mulher a Basemate filha de Salomão.
16 Baana son of Hushai in Asher and in Aloth;
Baaná filho de Husai, em Aser e em Alote;
17 Jehoshaphat son of Paruah in Issachar;
Josafá filho de Parua, em Issacar;
18 Shimei son of Ela in Benjamin;
Simei filho de Elá, em Benjamim;
19 Geber son of Uri in the land of Gilead, including the territories of Sihon king of the Amorites and of Og king of Bashan. There was also one governor in the land of Judah.
Geber filho de Uri, na terra de Gileade, a terra de Seom rei dos amorreus, e de Ogue rei de Basã; este era o único governador naquela terra.
20 The people of Judah and Israel were as numerous as the sand on the seashore, and they were eating and drinking and rejoicing.
Judá e Israel eram muitos, como a areia que está junto ao mar em multidão, comendo e bebendo e alegrando-se.
21 And Solomon reigned over all the kingdoms from the Euphrates to the land of the Philistines, as far as the border of Egypt. These kingdoms offered tribute and served Solomon all the days of his life.
E Salomão dominava sobre todos os reinos, desde o rio até a terra dos filisteus, e até o termo do Egito; e traziam tributos, e serviram a Salomão todos os dias em que viveu.
22 Solomon’s provisions for a single day were thirty cors of fine flour, sixty cors of meal,
E a provisão de Salomão era, cada dia, trinta coros de farinha refinada, e sessenta coros de farinha comum;
23 ten fat oxen, twenty range oxen, and a hundred sheep, as well as deer, gazelles, roebucks, and fattened poultry.
dez bois engordados, e vinte bois de pasto, e cem ovelhas; sem os cervos, cabras, búfalos, e aves engordadas.
24 For Solomon had dominion over everything west of the Euphrates —over all the kingdoms from Tiphsah to Gaza—and he had peace on all sides.
Porque ele dominava em toda a região que estava da outra parte do rio, desde Tifsa até Gaza, sobre todos os reis da outra parte do rio; e teve paz por todos os lados em derredor seu.
25 Throughout the days of Solomon, Judah and Israel dwelt securely from Dan to Beersheba, each man under his own vine and his own fig tree.
E Judá e Israel viviam seguros, cada um debaixo de sua parreira e debaixo de sua figueira, desde Dã até Berseba, todos os dias de Salomão.
26 Solomon had 4,000 stalls for his chariot horses and 12,000 horses.
Além disso, Salomão tinha quarenta mil cavalos em seus estábulos para suas carruagens, e doze mil cavaleiros.
27 Each month the governors in turn provided food for King Solomon and all who came to his table. They saw to it that nothing was lacking.
E estes governadores mantinham ao rei Salomão, e a todos os que vinham à mesa do rei Salomão, a cada mês; e faziam que nada faltasse.
28 Each one also brought to the required place their quotas of barley and straw for the chariot horses and other horses.
Faziam também trazer cevada e palha para os cavalos e para os animais de carga, ao lugar de onde ele estava, cada um conforme ao cargo que tinha.
29 And God gave Solomon wisdom, exceedingly deep insight, and understanding beyond measure, like the sand on the seashore.
E deu Deus a Salomão sabedoria, e prudência muito grande, e largura de coração como a areia que está à beira do mar.
30 Solomon’s wisdom was greater than that of all the men of the East, greater than all the wisdom of Egypt.
Que foi maior a sabedoria de Salomão que a de todos os orientais, e que toda a sabedoria dos egípcios.
31 He was wiser than all men—wiser than Ethan the Ezrahite, and wiser than Heman, Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol. And his fame spread throughout the surrounding nations.
E ainda foi mais sábio que todos os homens; mais que Etã ezraíta, e que Hemã e Calcol e Darda, filhos de Maol: e foi nomeado entre todas as nações de ao redor.
32 Solomon composed three thousand proverbs, and his songs numbered a thousand and five.
E propôs três mil parábolas; e seus versos foram mil e cinco.
33 He spoke of trees, from the cedar in Lebanon to the hyssop growing in the wall, and he taught about animals, birds, reptiles, and fish.
Também descreveu as árvores, desde o cedro do Líbano até o hissopo que nasce na parede. Também descreveu os animais, as aves, os répteis, e os peixes.
34 So men of all nations came to listen to Solomon’s wisdom, sent by all the kings of the earth, who had heard of his wisdom.
E vinham de todos os povos a ouvir a sabedoria de Salomão, e de todos os reis da terra, de onde havia chegado a fama de sua sabedoria.
