1 Corinthians 3
1 Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual, but as worldly—as infants in Christ.
Hermanos, no pude hablarles como a espirituales, sino como a humanos, como a niños en Cristo.
2 I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for solid food. In fact, you are still not ready,
Les di a beber leche, no alimento sólido, porque todavía no podían recibirlo. Y todavía no pueden
3 for you are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and dissension among you, are you not worldly? Are you not walking in the way of man?
pues aún están dominados por la naturaleza humana. Mientras haya entre ustedes envidia y contienda, ¿no están dominados por la naturaleza humana y viven como hombres?
4 For when one of you says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” are you not mere men?
Cuando alguno dice: Yo ciertamente soy de Pablo, y otro dice: Yo de Apolos, ¿no están dominados por la naturaleza humana?
5 What then is Apollos? And what is Paul? They are servants through whom you believed, as the Lord has assigned to each his role.
¿Quién es Apolos? ¿Y quién es Pablo? Somos servidores por medio de quienes creyeron, según el trabajo que el Señor asignó a cada uno.
6 I planted the seed and Apollos watered it, but God made it grow.
Yo planté, Apolos regó, pero Dios produjo el crecimiento.
7 So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.
Así que, ni el que planta ni el que riega es algo, sino Dios, Quien produce el crecimiento.
8 He who plants and he who waters are one in purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor.
El que planta y el que riega son iguales, aunque cada uno recibirá su salario según su labor.
9 For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.
Porque somos colaboradores de Dios. [Ustedes] son un campo cultivado por Dios, un edificio suyo.
10 By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as an expert builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one must be careful how he builds.
Según la gracia que Dios me dio, puse un fundamento como arquitecto experimentado y otro construye sobre él. Pero cada uno tenga cuidado cómo construye.
11 For no one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.
Porque nadie puede poner otro fundamento distinto del que está puesto, el cual es Jesucristo.
12 If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw,
Si alguno edifica oro, plata, piedras preciosas, madera, pasto, hojarasca sobre el fundamento,
13 his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each man’s work.
la obra de cada uno será visible. Porque el día la mostrará, pues con fuego será descubierta. El fuego probará la obra de cada uno.
14 If what he has built survives, he will receive a reward.
Si permanece la obra que alguno construyó, recibirá recompensa.
15 If it is burned up, he will suffer loss. He himself will be saved, but only as if through the flames.
Si la obra de alguno se quema, se perderá, pero él será salvo, como el que pasa por fuego.
16 Do you not know that you yourselves are God’s temple, and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?
¿No saben que ustedes son Santuario de Dios, y que el Espíritu de Dios mora en ustedes?
17 If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.
Si alguno destruye el Santuario de Dios, Dios lo destruirá, porque el Santuario de Dios es santo. Ustedes son ese Santuario.
18 Let no one deceive himself. If any of you thinks he is wise in this age, he should become a fool, so that he may become wise. (aiōn g165)
Nadie se engañe. Si alguno de ustedes supone que es sabio en este mundo, vuélvase necio para que sea sabio. (aiōn g165)
19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness.”
Porque la sabiduría de este mundo es necedad ante Dios, pues está escrito: Él atrapa a los sabios en su astucia.
20 And again, “The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile.”
Y otra vez: [El] Señor conoce los pensamientos vanos de los sabios.
21 Therefore, stop boasting in men. All things are yours,
Así que, nadie se enaltezca por lo que es propio de los seres humanos. Porque todo es de ustedes,
22 whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future. All of them belong to you,
sea Pablo, Apolos, Cefas, [el] mundo, [la] vida, [la] muerte, cosas que vinieron o que vienen, todo es de ustedes,
23 and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.
y ustedes de Cristo y Cristo de Dios.
