1 Corinthians 16
1 Now about the collection for the saints, you are to do as I directed the churches of Galatia:
In Betreff der Steuer für die Heiligen aber möget ihr es ebenso halten, wie ich es bei den Galatischen Gemeinden angeordnet habe.
2 On the first day of every week, each of you should set aside a portion of his income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will be needed.
An jedem ersten Wochentage möge jeder von euch dafür bei Seite legen, je nach seinen Einnahmen, damit man nicht erst zu sammeln braucht, wenn ich komme.
3 Then, on my arrival, I will send letters with those you recommend to carry your gift to Jerusalem.
Wenn ich dann komme, so will ich Männer nach eurer Wahl mit Briefen zur Ueberbringung eurer Gaben nach Jerusalem schicken.
4 And if it is advisable for me to go also, they can travel with me.
ist es der Mühe wert, daß ich selbst gehe, so können sie mit mir gehen.
5 After I go through Macedonia, however, I will come to you; for I will be going through Macedonia.
Kommen werde ich aber zu euch, wenn ich Makedonia bereist habe; dort werde ich durchreisen,
6 Perhaps I will stay with you awhile, or even spend the winter, so that you can help me on my journey, wherever I go.
bei euch aber werde ich je nachdem mich aufhalten, oder auch überwintern, und dann mit eurem Geleite weiter reisen, wohin es gehe.
7 For I do not want to see you now only in passing; I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord permits.
Ich möchte euch diesmal nicht blß auf der Durchreise sehen; ich hoffe einige Zeit bei euch zu verweilen, wenn es mir der Herr gestattet.
8 But I will stay in Ephesus until Pentecost,
In Ephesus will ich bleiben bis Pfingsten;
9 because a great door for effective work has opened to me, even though many oppose me.
denn es hat sich mir hier eine große Thüre voll Wirksamkeit aufgethan, daneben viele Widersacher.
10 If Timothy comes, see to it that he has nothing to fear while he is with you, for he is doing the work of the Lord, just as I am.
Wenn Timotheus kommt, so sorget dafür, daß er sich bei euch nicht zu fürchten braucht. Denn er schafft am Werk des Herrn, wie ich auch.
11 No one, then, should treat him with contempt. Send him on his way in peace so that he can return to me, for I am expecting him along with the brothers.
Darum soll ihn niemand gering achten. Entlasset ihn dann im Frieden zu mir; denn ich erwarte ihn samt den Brüdern.
12 Now about our brother Apollos: I strongly urged him to go to you with the brothers. He was not at all inclined to go now, but he will go when he has the opportunity.
Was den Bruder Apollos betrifft, so habe ich ihm viel zugeredet, mit den Brüdern zu euch zu gehen; aber er wollte jetzt schlechterdings nicht; doch wird er kommen, sobald es ihm gelegen ist.
13 Be on the alert. Stand firm in the faith. Be men of courage. Be strong.
Wachet, stehet im Glauben, wie Männer, fest.
14 Do everything in love.
Lasset alles bei euch in der Liebe zugehen.
15 You know that Stephanas and his household were the first converts in Achaia, and they have devoted themselves to the service of the saints. Now I urge you, brothers,
Ich ermahne euch, Brüder: ihr kennt ja das Haus des Stephanas, wie es der Erstling ist in Achaia, und wie sie sich zum Dienst für die Heiligen gewidmet haben -
16 to submit to such as these, and to every fellow worker and laborer.
so möget auch ihr solchen unterthan sein, sowie jedem, der da mitarbeitet und die Mühewaltung auf sich nimmt.
17 I am glad that Stephanas, Fortunatus, and Achaicus have arrived, because they have supplied what was lacking from you.
Ich freue mich der Anwesenheit des Stephanas, Fortunatus und Achaikus; sie haben an mir gut gemacht, was ihr nicht konntet.
18 For they refreshed my spirit and yours as well. Show your appreciation, therefore, to such men.
Sie haben meinen und euren Geist erquickt. So wollet auch ihr sie darum ansehen.
19 The churches in the province of Asia send you greetings. Aquila and Prisca greet you warmly in the Lord, and so does the church that meets at their house.
Die Gemeinden Asia's grüßen euch. Es grüßt euch im Herrn vielmal Aquila und Prisca mit der Versammlung in ihrem Hause.
20 All the brothers here send you greetings. Greet one another with a holy kiss.
Es grüßen euch die Brüder alle. Grüßet euch unter einander mit dem heiligen Kuß.

Hier, mein, des Paulus, eigenhändiger Gruß.
22 If anyone does not love the Lord, let him be under a curse. Come, O Lord!
