1 The sons of Issachar: Tola, Puah, Jashub, and Shimron—four in all.
Now the sons of Issachar were Thola, and Phua, Jasub and Simeron, four.
2 The sons of Tola: Uzzi, Rephaiah, Jeriel, Jahmai, Ibsam, and Shemuel, the heads of their families. In the days of David, 22,600 descendants of Tola were numbered in their genealogies as mighty men of valor.
The sons of Thola: Ozi and Raphaia, and Jeriel, and Jemai, and Jebsem, and Samuel, chiefs of the houses of their kindreds. Of the posterity of Thola were numbered in the days of David, two and twenty thousand six hundred most valiant men.
3 The son of Uzzi: Izrahiah. The sons of Izrahiah: Michael, Obadiah, Joel, and Isshiah. All five of them were chiefs.
The sons of Ozi: Izrahia, of whom were born Michael, and Obadia, and Joel, and Jesia, five all great men.
4 In addition to them, according to their genealogy, they had 36,000 troops for battle, for they had many wives and children.
And there were with them by their families and peoples, six and thirty thousand most valiant men ready for war: for they had many wives and children.
5 Their kinsmen belonging to all the families of Issachar who were mighty men of valor totaled 87,000, as listed in their genealogies.
Their brethren also throughout all the house of Issachar, were numbered fourscore and seven thousand most valiant men for war.
6 The three sons of Benjamin: Bela, Becher, and Jediael.
The sons of Benjamin were Bela, and Bechor, and Jadihel, three.
7 The sons of Bela: Ezbon, Uzzi, Uzziel, Jerimoth, and Iri, heads of their families—five in all. There were 22,034 mighty men of valor listed in their genealogies.
The sons of Bela: Esbon, and Ozi, and Ozial, and Jerimoth and Urai, five chiefs of their families, and most valiant warriors, and their number was twenty-two thousand and thirty-four.
8 The sons of Becher: Zemirah, Joash, Eliezer, Elioenai, Omri, Jeremoth, Abijah, Anathoth, and Alemeth; all these were Becher’s sons.
And the sons of Bechor were Zamira, and Joas, and Eliezer, and Elioenai, and Amai, and Jerimoth, and Abia, and Anathoth, and Almath: all these were the sons of Bechor.
9 Their genealogies were recorded according to the heads of their families—20,200 mighty men of valor.
And they were numbered by the families, heads of their kindreds, most valiant men for war, twenty thousand and two hundred.
10 The son of Jediael: Bilhan. The sons of Bilhan: Jeush, Benjamin, Ehud, Chenaanah, Zethan, Tarshish, and Ahishahar.
And the son of Jadihel: Balan. And the sons of Balan: Jehus and Benjamin and Aod, and Chanana, and Zethan and Tharsis, and Ahisahar.
11 All these sons of Jediael were heads of their families, mighty men of valor; there were 17,200 fit for battle.
All these were sons of Jadihel, heads of their kindreds, most valiant men, seventeen thousand and two hundred fit to go out to war.
12 The Shuppites and Huppites were descendants of Ir, and the Hushites were descendants of Aher.
Sepham also and Hapham the sons of Hir: and Hasim the sons of Aher.
13 The sons of Naphtali: Jahziel, Guni, Jezer, and Shallum —the descendants of Bilhah.
And the sons of Nephtali were Jasiel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Sellum, sons of Bala.
14 The descendants of Manasseh: Through his Aramean concubine, Asriel, as well as Machir the father of Gilead.
And the son of Manasses, Ezriel: and his concubine the Syrian bore Machir the father of Galaad.
15 Machir took a wife from among the Huppites and Shuppites. The name of his sister was Maacah. Another descendant was named Zelophehad, who had only daughters.
And Machir took wives for his sons Happhim, and Saphan: and he had a sister named Maacha: the name of the second was Salphaad, and Salphaad had daughters.
16 Machir’s wife Maacah gave birth to a son, and she named him Peresh. His brother was named Sheresh, and his sons were Ulam and Rekem.
And Maacha the wife of Machir bore a son, and she called his name Phares: and the name of his brother was Sares: and his sons were Ulam and Recen.
17 The son of Ulam: Bedan. These were the sons of Gilead son of Machir, the son of Manasseh.
And the son of Ulam, Baden. These are the sons of Galaad, the son of Machir the son of Manasses.
18 His sister Hammolecheth gave birth to Ishhod, Abiezer, and Mahlah.
And his sister named Queen bore Goodlyman, and Abiezer, and Mohola.
19 And these were the sons of Shemida: Ahian, Shechem, Likhi, and Aniam.
And the sons of Semida were Ahiu, and Sechem, and Leci and Aniam.
20 The descendants of Ephraim: Shuthelah, Bered his son, Tahath his son, Eleadah his son, Tahath his son,
And the sons of Ephraim were Suthala, Bared his son, Thahath his son, Elada his son, Thahath his son, and his son Zabad,
21 Zabad his son, and Shuthelah his son. Ezer and Elead were killed by the natives of Gath, because they went down to steal their livestock.
And his son Suthala, and his son Ezer, and Elad: and the men of Geth born in the land slew them, because they came down to invade their possessions.
22 Their father Ephraim mourned for many days, and his relatives came to comfort him.
And Ephraim their father mourned many days, and his brethren came to comfort him.
23 And again he slept with his wife, and she conceived and gave birth to a son. So he named him Beriah, because tragedy had come upon his house.
And he went in to his wife: and she conceived and bore a son, and he called his name Beria, because he was born when it went evil with his house:
24 His daughter was Sheerah, who built Lower and Upper Beth-horon, as well as Uzzen-sheerah.
And his daughter was Sara, who built Bethoron, the nether and the upper, and Ozensara.
25 Additionally, Rephah was his son, Resheph his son, Telah his son, Tahan his son,
And Rapha was his son, and Reseph, and Thale, of whom was born Thaan,
26 Ladan his son, Ammihud his son, Elishama his son,
Who begot Laadan: and his son was Ammiud, who beget Elisama,
27 Nun his son, and Joshua his son.
Of whom was born Nun, who had Josue for his son.
28 Their holdings and settlements included Bethel and its villages, Naaran to the east, Gezer and its villages to the west, and Shechem and its villages as far as Ayyah and its villages.
And their possessions and habitations were Bethel with her daughters, and eastward Noran, and westward Gazer and her daughters, Sichem also with her daughters, as far as Ass with her daughters.
29 And along the borders of Manasseh were Beth-shean, Taanach, Megiddo, and Dor, together with their villages. The descendants of Joseph son of Israel lived in these towns.
And by the borders of the sons of Manasses Bethsan and her daughters, Thanach and her daughters, Mageddo and her daughters: Dor and her daughters: in these dwelt the children of Joseph, the son of Israel.
30 The children of Asher: Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi, Beriah, and their sister Serah.
The children of Aser were Jemna, and Jesua, and Jessui, and Baria, and Sara their sister.
31 The sons of Beriah: Heber, as well as Malchiel, who was the father of Birzaith.
And the sons of Baria: Haber, and Melchiel: he is the father of Barsaith.
32 Heber was the father of Japhlet, Shomer, and Hotham, and of their sister Shua.
And Heber beget Jephlat, and Somer, and Hotham, and Suaa their sister.
33 The sons of Japhlet: Pasach, Bimhal, and Ashvath. These were Japhlet’s sons.
The sons of Jephlat: Phosech, and Chamaal, and Asoth: these are the sons of Jephlat.
34 The sons of Shemer: Ahi, Rohgah, Hubbah, and Aram.
And the sons of Somer: Ahi, and Roaga, and Haba, and Aram.
35 The sons of his brother Helem: Zophah, Imna, Shelesh, and Amal.
And the sons of Helem his brother: Supha, and Jemna, and Selles, and Amal.
36 The sons of Zophah: Suah, Harnepher, Shual, Beri, Imrah,
The sons of Supha: Sue, Hernapher, and Sual, and Beri, and Jamra.
37 Bezer, Hod, Shamma, Shilshah, Ithran, and Beera.
Bosor and Hod, and Samma, and Salusa, and Jethran, and Bera.
38 The sons of Jether: Jephunneh, Pispa, and Ara.
The sons of Jether: Jephone, and Phaspha, and Ara.
39 The sons of Ulla: Arah, Hanniel, and Rizia.
And the sons of Olla: Aree, and Haniel, and Resia.
40 All these were the descendants of Asher—heads of their families, choice and mighty men of valor, and chiefs among the leaders. The number of men fit for battle, recorded in their genealogies, was 26,000.
All these were sons of Aser, heads of their families, choice and most valiant captains of captains: and the number of them that were of the age that was fit for war, was six and twenty thousand.
