1 The sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
Synové Léví: Gerson, Kahat a Merari.
2 The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.
Synové pak Kahat: Amram, Izar, Hebron a Uziel.
3 The children of Amram: Aaron, Moses, and Miriam. The sons of Aaron: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
Synové pak Amramovi: Aron, Mojžíš, a Maria. Synové pak Aronovi: Nádab, Abiu, Eleazar a Itamar.
4 Eleazar was the father of Phinehas, Phinehas was the father of Abishua,
Eleazar zplodil Fínesa, Fínes zplodil Abisua.
5 Abishua was the father of Bukki, Bukki was the father of Uzzi,
Abisua pak zplodil Bukki, Bukki pak zplodil Uzi.
6 Uzzi was the father of Zerahiah, Zerahiah was the father of Meraioth,

7 Meraioth was the father of Amariah, Amariah was the father of Ahitub,

8 Ahitub was the father of Zadok, Zadok was the father of Ahimaaz,
Achitob pak zplodil Sádocha, Sádoch pak zplodil Achimaasa.
9 Ahimaaz was the father of Azariah, Azariah was the father of Johanan,
Achimaas pak zplodil Azariáše, Azariáš pak zplodil Jochanana.
10 Johanan was the father of Azariah, who served as priest in the temple that Solomon built in Jerusalem,

11 Azariah was the father of Amariah, Amariah was the father of Ahitub,

12 Ahitub was the father of Zadok, Zadok was the father of Shallum,
Achitob zplodil Sádocha, Sádoch pak zplodil Salluma.
13 Shallum was the father of Hilkiah, Hilkiah was the father of Azariah,
Sallum pak zplodil Helkiáše, Helkiáš pak zplodil Azariáše.
14 Azariah was the father of Seraiah, and Seraiah was the father of Jehozadak.
Azariáš pak zplodil Saraiáše, Saraiáš pak zplodil Jozadaka.
15 Jehozadak went into captivity when the LORD sent Judah and Jerusalem into exile by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar.
Jozadak pak odšel, když převedl Hospodin Judu a Jeruzalém skrze Nabuchodonozora.
16 The sons of Levi: Gershom, Kohath, and Merari.

17 These are the names of the sons of Gershom: Libni and Shimei.
Tato pak jsou jména synů Gersomových: Lebni a Semei.
18 The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.
Synové pak Kahat: Amram, Izar, Hebron a Uziel.
19 The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These are the clans of the Levites listed according to their fathers:

20 Of Gershom: Libni his son, Jahath his son, Zimmah his son,

21 Joah his son, Iddo his son, Zerah his son, and Jeatherai his son.

22 The descendants of Kohath: Amminadab his son, Korah his son, Assir his son,

31 These are the men David put in charge of the music in the house of the LORD after the ark rested there.
Tito jsou pak, kteréž ustanovil David k zpívání v domě Hospodinově, když tam postavena truhla,
32 They ministered with song before the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting, until Solomon built the house of the LORD in Jerusalem. And they performed their duties according to the regulations given them.
Kteříž přisluhovali před příbytkem stánku úmluvy zpíváním, dokudž neustavěl Šalomoun domu Hospodinova v Jeruzalémě, a stáli podlé pořádku svého v přisluhování svém.
33 These are the men who served, together with their sons. From the Kohathites: Heman the singer, the son of Joel, the son of Samuel,
Tito jsou pak, kteříž stáli, i synové jejich, z synů Kahat: Héman kantor, syn Joele, syna Samuelova,
34 the son of Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Eliel, the son of Toah,
Syna Elkánova, syna Jerochamova, syna Elielova, syna Tohu,
35 the son of Zuph, the son of Elkanah, the son of Mahath, the son of Amasai,
Syna Sufova, syna Elkánova, syna Machatova, syna Amasai,
36 the son of Elkanah, the son of Joel, the son of Azariah, the son of Zephaniah,

44 On the left were their kinsmen, the sons of Merari: Ethan the son of Kishi, the son of Abdi, the son of Malluch,

45 the son of Hashabiah, the son of Amaziah, the son of Hilkiah,
Syna Chasabiášova, syna Amaziášova, syna Helkiášova,
46 the son of Amzi, the son of Bani, the son of Shemer,
Syna Amzova, syna Bánova, syna Semerova,
47 the son of Mahli, the son of Mushi, the son of Merari, the son of Levi.

48 Their fellow Levites were assigned to every kind of service of the tabernacle, the house of God.
Bratří pak jejich Levítové jiní oddáni jsou ke všelikému přisluhování příbytku domu Božího.
49 But Aaron and his sons did all the work of the Most Holy Place. They presented the offerings on the altar of burnt offering and on the altar of incense to make atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.
Ale Aron a synové jeho pálili na oltáři zápalu a na oltáři kadění, při všelikém přisluhování svatyně svatých, a k očišťování Izraele podlé všeho toho, jakož přikázal Mojžíš služebník Boží.
50 These were the descendants of Aaron: Eleazar his son, Phinehas his son, Abishua his son,

54 Now these were the territories assigned to the descendants of Aaron from the Kohathite clan for their settlements, because the first lot fell to them:

55 They were given Hebron in the land of Judah and its surrounding pasturelands.
A protož dali jim Hebron v zemi Judské, a předměstí jeho vůkol něho.
56 But the fields and villages around the city were given to Caleb son of Jephunneh.
Pole však městská a vsi jejich dali Kálefovi synu Jefonovu.
57 So the descendants of Aaron were given Hebron (a city of refuge), Libnah, Jattir, Eshtemoa,
Synům pak Aronovým dali z měst Judských města útočišťná: Hebron a Lebno a předměstí jeho, a Jeter i Estemo a předměstí jeho,
58 Hilen, Debir,
A Holon i předměstí jeho, a Dabir i předměstí jeho,
59 Ashan, Juttah, and Beth-shemesh, together with their pasturelands.
Též Asan a předměstí jeho, a Betsemes a předměstí jeho.
60 And from the tribe of Benjamin they were given Gibeon, Geba, Alemeth, and Anathoth, together with their pasturelands. So they had thirteen cities in all among their families.
Z pokolení pak Beniamin: Gaba a předměstí jeho, a Allemet i předměstí jeho, i Anatot a předměstí jeho, všech měst jejich třinácte měst po čeledech jejich.
61 To the rest of the Kohathites, ten cities were allotted from the half-tribe of Manasseh.
Synům též Kahatovým ostatním z čeledi toho pokolení dáno v polovici pokolení Manassesova losem měst deset.
62 The Gershomites, according to their clans, were allotted thirteen cities from the tribes of Issachar, Asher, Naphtali, and Manasseh in Bashan.
Synům pak Gersonovým po čeledech jejich v pokolení Izachar a v pokolení Asser, a v pokolení Neftalím, a v pokolení Manassesovu v Bázan měst třináct.
63 The Merarites, according to their families, were allotted twelve cities from the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and Zebulun.
Synům Merari po čeledech jejich v pokolení Ruben, a v pokolení Gád, a v pokolení Zabulon losem měst dvanáct.
64 So the Israelites gave to the Levites these cities and their pasturelands.
Dali synové Izraelští Levítům ta města a předměstí jejich.
65 They assigned by lot the cities named above from the tribes of Judah, Simeon, and Benjamin.
A dali je losem v pokolení synů Judových, a v pokolení synů Simeonových, a v pokolení synů Beniaminových, města ta, kteráž jmenovali ze jména.
66 And some of the clans of the Kohathites were given cities from the tribe of Ephraim for their territory:
A kteříž byli z čeledi synů Kahat, (byla pak města a hranice jejich v pokolení Efraimovu),
67 They were given Shechem (a city of refuge) with its pasturelands in the hill country of Ephraim, and Gezer,
Těm dali města útočišťná: Sichem a předměstí jeho na hoře Efraim, a Gázer a předměstí jeho,
68 Jokmeam, Beth-horon,
A Jekmaam i předměstí jeho, a Betoron i předměstí jeho,
69 Aijalon, and Gath-rimmon, together with their pasturelands.
Též i Aialon a předměstí jeho, a Getremmon s předměstím jeho.
70 And from the half-tribe of Manasseh the remaining clans of the Kohathites were given Aner and Bileam, together with their pasturelands.
A v polovici pokolení Manassesova: Aner a předměstí jeho, Balám a předměstí jeho, čeledem synů Kahat ostatním.
71 The Gershomites received the following: From the clan of the half-tribe of Manasseh they were given Golan in Bashan and also Ashtaroth, together with their pasturelands.
Synům pak Gersonovým v čeledi polovice pokolení Manassesova dali Golan v Bázan s předměstím jeho, a Astarot i předměstí jeho.
72 From the tribe of Issachar they were given Kedesh, Daberath,
V pokolení pak Izachar: Kádes s předměstím jeho, Daberet a předměstí jeho,
73 Ramoth, and Anem, together with their pasturelands.
Rámot také s předměstím jeho, a Anem i předměstí jeho.
74 From the tribe of Asher they were given Mashal, Abdon,
V pokolení pak Asser: Masal s předměstím jeho, a Abdon i předměstí jeho,
75 Hukok, and Rehob, together with their pasturelands.
Též Hukok s předměstím jeho, Rohob také i předměstí jeho.
76 And from the tribe of Naphtali they were given Kedesh in Galilee, Hammon, and Kiriathaim, together with their pasturelands.
V pokolení pak Neftalímovu: Kádes v Galilei a předměstí jeho, Hamon a předměstí jeho, a Kariataim i předměstí jeho.
77 The Merarites (the rest of the Levites) received the following: From the tribe of Zebulun they were given Rimmono and Tabor, together with their pasturelands.
Synům Merari ostatním v pokolení Zabulonovu dali Remmon s předměstím jeho, Tábor a předměstí jeho.
78 From the tribe of Reuben east of the Jordan opposite Jericho they were given Bezer in the wilderness, Jahzah,
A za Jordánem u Jericha, k východní straně Jordánu, v pokolení Rubenovu: Bozor na poušti s předměstím jeho, a Jasa i předměstí jeho.
79 Kedemoth, and Mephaath, together with their pasturelands.
Kedemot také s předměstím jeho, a Mefat i předměstí jeho.
80 And from the tribe of Gad they were given Ramoth in Gilead, Mahanaim,

81 Heshbon, and Jazer, together with their pasturelands.
I Ezebon s předměstím jeho, a Jazer i předměstí jeho.
