1 Chronicles 5
1 These were the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel. Though he was the firstborn, his birthright was given to the sons of Joseph son of Israel, because Reuben defiled his father’s bed. So he is not reckoned according to birthright.

2 And though Judah prevailed over his brothers and a ruler came from him, the birthright belonged to Joseph.

3 The sons of Reuben, the firstborn of Israel: Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.
ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ ആദ്യജാതനായ രൂബേന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ഹാനോക്ക്, ഫല്ലൂ, ഹെസ്രോൻ, കർമി.
4 The descendants of Joel: Shemaiah his son, Gog his son, Shimei his son,
യോവേലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ മകൻ ശെമയ്യാവ്, ശെമയ്യാവിന്റെ മകൻ ഗോഗ്, ഗോഗിന്റെ മകൻ ശിമെയി,
5 Micah his son, Reaiah his son, Baal his son,
ശിമെയിയുടെ മകൻ മീഖാ, മീഖായുടെ മകൻ രെയായാവ്, രെയായാവിന്റെ മകൻ ബാൽ,
6 and Beerah his son, whom Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria carried into exile. Beerah was a leader of the Reubenites.
ബാലിന്റെ മകൻ ബെയേരാ, അയാളെ അശ്ശൂർരാജാവായ തിഗ്ലത്ത്-പിലേസർ പ്രവാസിയായി പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോയി. ബെയേരാ രൂബേന്യരുടെ നായകനായിരുന്നു.
7 His relatives by their clans are recorded in their genealogy: Jeiel the chief, Zechariah,

8 and Bela son of Azaz, the son of Shema, the son of Joel. They settled in Aroer and as far as Nebo and Baal-meon.
യോവേലിന്റെ മകനായ ശേമയുടെ മകനായ ആസാസിന്റെ മകൻ ബേലാ. അവർ അരോയേർമുതൽ നെബോവും ബാൽ-മെയോനുംവരെയുള്ള പ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽ താമസിച്ചിരുന്നു.
9 They also settled in the east as far as the edge of the desert that extends to the Euphrates River, because their livestock had increased in the land of Gilead.
ഗിലെയാദിൽ അവരുടെ കന്നുകാലികൾ ഏറ്റവും പെരുകിയിരുന്നതിനാൽ കിഴക്കോട്ട് മരുഭൂമിയുടെ അതിരുവരെയും യൂഫ്രട്ടീസ് നദിവരെയും ഉള്ള ഭൂപ്രദേശങ്ങൾ അവർ കൈവശപ്പെടുത്തിയിരുന്നു.
10 During the days of Saul they waged war against the Hagrites, who were defeated at their hands, and they occupied the homes of the Hagrites throughout the region east of Gilead.
ശൗലിന്റെ ഭരണകാലത്ത് അവർ ഹഗ്രീയിമ്യരോടു യുദ്ധത്തിലേർപ്പെട്ടു. ഹഗ്രീയിമ്യർ അവരുടെ കൈയാൽ തോൽപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടു. ഗിലെയാദിനു കിഴക്ക് ഹഗ്രീയിമ്യർക്ക് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന അധിനിവേശങ്ങളെല്ലാം അവർ കൈവശമാക്കി.
11 The descendants of Gad lived next to the Reubenites in the land of Bashan, as far as Salecah:
ഗാദ്യർ രൂബേന്യർക്ക് അടുത്ത് ബാശാനിൽ സൽക്കാവരെ അധിവസിച്ചിരുന്നു.
12 Joel was the chief, Shapham the second, then Jaanai and Shaphat, who lived in Bashan.
യോവേൽ ആയിരുന്നു ബാശാനിലെ അവരുടെ തലവൻ. രണ്ടാമൻ ശാഫാം, പിന്നെ യനായിയും ശാഫാത്തും.
13 Their kinsmen by families were Michael, Meshullam, Sheba, Jorai, Jacan, Zia, and Eber—seven in all.
കുടുംബവഴിക്ക് അവരുടെ ബന്ധുക്കളായവർ എല്ലാവരുംകൂടി മീഖായേൽ, മെശുല്ലാം, ശേബ, യോരായി, യക്കാൻ, സീയ, ഏബെർ എന്നീ ഏഴുപേർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
14 These were the sons of Abihail son of Huri, the son of Jaroah, the son of Gilead, the son of Michael, the son of Jeshishai, the son of Jahdo, the son of Buz.
ഹൂരിയുടെ മകനായ അബീഹയീലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ ഇവരായിരുന്നു. ഹൂരി യാരോഹയുടെ മകൻ, യാരോഹ ഗിലെയാദിന്റെ മകൻ, ഗിലെയാദ് മീഖായേലിന്റെ മകൻ, മീഖായേൽ യെശീശയുടെ മകൻ, യെശീശ യഹദോയുടെ മകൻ, യഹദോ ബൂസിന്റെ മകൻ.
15 Ahi son of Abdiel, the son of Guni, was head of their family.
ഗൂനിയുടെ മകനായ അബ്ദിയേലിന്റെ മകൻ അഹി അവരുടെ കുടുംബത്തലവനായിരുന്നു.
16 They lived in Gilead, in Bashan and its towns, and throughout the pasturelands of Sharon.
ഗിലെയാദിലും ബാശാനിലും അതിനോടുചേർന്നുള്ള ഗ്രാമങ്ങളിലും ശാരോനിലെ പുൽപ്പുറങ്ങളിൽ അവർ ചെന്നെത്തിയിടത്തോളം ഭാഗങ്ങളിലും ഗാദ്യർ താമസിച്ചിരുന്നു.
17 All of them were reckoned in the genealogies during the reigns of Jotham king of Judah and Jeroboam king of Israel.
യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ യോഥാമിന്റെയും ഇസ്രായേൽരാജാവായ യൊരോബെയാമിന്റെയും ഭരണകാലത്തെ വംശാവലിരേഖകളിൽ ഇവയെല്ലാം ചേർത്തിരുന്നു.
18 The Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh had 44,760 warriors—valiant men who carried the shield and sword, drew the bow, and were trained for battle.
രൂബേന്യർക്കും ഗാദ്യർക്കും മനശ്ശെയുടെ അർധഗോത്രത്തിനുംകൂടി യുദ്ധസജ്ജരായ 44,760 ഭടന്മാരുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അവർ നല്ല കായികശേഷിയുള്ളവരും വാളും പരിചയും അമ്പും വില്ലും പ്രയോഗിക്കാൻ പ്രാപ്തരും നല്ല ആയോധനപരിശീലനം നേടിയവരും ആയിരുന്നു.
19 They waged war against the Hagrites, as well as Jetur, Naphish, and Nodab.
അവർ ഹഗ്രീയിമ്യരോടും യെതൂർ, നാഫീശ്, നോദാബ് എന്നിവരോടും യുദ്ധം നടത്തി.
20 And because they cried out to God in battle, they were helped against their enemies, and the Hagrites and all their allies were delivered into their hands. Because they put their trust in God, He answered their prayers.
യുദ്ധംനടന്നുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നപ്പോൾ അവർ ദൈവത്തോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; അവർ ദൈവത്തിൽ വിശ്വസിച്ചതുകൊണ്ട് അവിടന്ന് അവരുടെ പ്രാർഥനയ്ക്ക് ഉത്തരമരുളി: ഹഗ്രീയിമ്യരെയും അവരുടെ എല്ലാ സഖ്യകക്ഷികളെയും ദൈവം അവരുടെ കൈയിൽ ഏൽപ്പിച്ചു.
21 They seized the livestock of the Hagrites—50,000 camels, 250,000 sheep, and 2,000 donkeys. They also took 100,000 captives,
അവർ ഹഗ്രീയിമ്യരുടെ മൃഗസമ്പത്തു പിടിച്ചെടുത്തു—അൻപതിനായിരം ഒട്ടകം, രണ്ടരലക്ഷം ആട്, രണ്ടായിരം കഴുത എന്നിവയെത്തന്നെ. ഒരുലക്ഷം ആളുകളെയും അവർ അടിമകളായി പിടിച്ചു.
22 and many others fell slain, because the battle belonged to God. And they occupied the land until the exile.
യുദ്ധം ദൈവത്തിന്റേതായതിനാൽ മറ്റനവധിപേരും കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടവരായി വീണു. അതിനെത്തുടർന്ന് പ്രവാസകാലംവരെ അവർ ആ പ്രദേശത്തു താമസിച്ചു.
23 Now the people of the half-tribe of Manasseh were numerous. They settled in the land from Bashan to Baal-hermon (that is, Senir, also known as Mount Hermon).
മനശ്ശെയുടെ അർധഗോത്രത്തിലെ ജനങ്ങൾ അസംഖ്യമായിരുന്നു. ബാശാൻമുതൽ ബാൽ-ഹെർമോനും സെനീരും ഹെർമോൻ പർവതവുംവരെ അവർ നിവസിച്ചിരുന്നു.
24 These were the heads of their families: Epher, Ishi, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremiah, Hodaviah, and Jahdiel. They were mighty men of valor, famous men, and heads of their families.
അവരുടെ പിതൃഭവനത്തലവന്മാർ ഇവരായിരുന്നു: ഏഫെർ, യിശി, എലീയേൽ, അസ്രീയേൽ, യിരെമ്യാവ്, ഹോദവ്യാവ്, യഹദീയേൽ. അവർ ധീരയോദ്ധാക്കളും കീർത്തികേട്ടവരും തങ്ങളുടെ പിതൃഭവനങ്ങൾക്കു തലവന്മാരും ആയിരുന്നു.
25 But they were unfaithful to the God of their fathers, and they prostituted themselves with the gods of the peoples of the land, whom God had destroyed before them.
എന്നാൽ അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ പൂർവികരുടെ ദൈവത്തോട് അവിശ്വസ്തരായിത്തീർന്നു. ദൈവം തങ്ങളുടെമുമ്പിൽനിന്ന് ഉന്മൂലനംചെയ്ത തദ്ദേശീയരായ ജനതകളുടെ ദേവന്മാരെ അവർ സേവിക്കുകയും ആ പരസംഗത്താൽ തങ്ങളെത്തന്നെ മലിനമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
26 So the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria (that is, Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria) to take the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh into exile. And he brought them to Halah, Habor, Hara, and the river of Gozan, where they remain to this day.
അതിനാൽ ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവം—തിഗ്ലത്ത്-പിലേസർ എന്നും അറിയപ്പെട്ടിരുന്ന—അശ്ശൂർരാജാവായ പൂലിന്റെ മനസ്സിനെ ഉത്തേജിപ്പിച്ചു. അതുകൊണ്ട് അദ്ദേഹം രൂബേന്യരെയും ഗാദ്യരെയും മനശ്ശെയുടെ അർധഗോത്രക്കാരെയും പ്രവാസികളായി പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോയി. അദ്ദേഹം അവരെ ഹലഹിലേക്കും ഹാബോരിലേക്കും ഹാരയിലേക്കും ഗോസാൻ നദീതീരത്തേക്കും കൊണ്ടുപോയി. അവിടെ അവർ ഇന്നുവരെ താമസിച്ചുവരുന്നു.
