< 1 Chronicles 29 >

1 Then King David said to the whole assembly, “My son Solomon, the one whom God has chosen, is young and inexperienced. The task is great because this palace is not for man, but for the LORD God.
Awo Kabaka Dawudi n’ayogera eri ekibiina kyonna ekyali kikuŋŋaanye nti, “Sulemaani mutabani wange, Katonda gw’alonze, mwana muto atalina bumanyirivu, ate nga omulimu munene. Ekizimbe kino si kya ku lwa muntu wabula kya ku lwa Mukama Katonda.
2 Now with all my ability I have made provision for the house of my God—gold for the gold articles, silver for the silver, bronze for the bronze, iron for the iron, and wood for the wood, as well as onyx for the settings, turquoise, stones of various colors, all kinds of precious stones, and slabs of marble—all in abundance.
Ntegese olwa yeekaalu ya Katonda wange, zaabu olw’omulimu gwa zaabu, ne ffeeza olw’omulimu gwa ffeeza, n’ebikomo olw’omulimu ogw’ebikomo, n’ebyuma olw’omulimu ogw’ebyuma, n’embaawo olw’omulimu ogw’embaawo, amayinja aga onuku mangi n’amayinja ag’okutona, amayinja ag’omulimu ogw’enjola n’ag’amabala mangi, n’amayinja ag’omuwendo omungi ag’engeri zonna, n’amayinja amanyirivu mangi nnyo.
3 Moreover, because of my delight in the house of my God, I now give for it my personal treasures of gold and silver, over and above all that I have provided for this holy temple:
Okwongera kw’ebyo byonna, n’okwewaayo kwange olwa yeekaalu ya Katonda wange, mpaddeyo amawanika gange aga zaabu ne ffeeza ku lwa yeekaalu ya Katonda wange;
4 three thousand talents of gold (the gold of Ophir) and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the buildings,
ttani kikumi mu kkumi eza zaabu eya Ofiri, ne ttani bibiri mu nkaaga eza ffeeza omulongoosemu okugibissa ku bisenge by’ekizimbe,
5 for the gold work and the silver work, and for all the work to be done by the craftsmen. Now who will volunteer to consecrate himself to the LORD today?”
n’olw’omulimu ogwa zaabu n’ogwa ffeeza, n’omulimu gwonna ogunaakolebwa abafundi. Kale ani aneewaayo okwewonga leero eri Mukama?”
6 Then the leaders of the households, the officers of the tribes of Israel, the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, and the officials in charge of the king’s work gave willingly.
Awo emitwe gy’ennyumba, n’abataka b’ebika bya Isirayiri, n’abaduumizi ab’olukumi n’ab’ekikumi, n’abakungu abaavunaanyizibwanga emirimu gya kabaka, ne beewaayo awatali kuwalirizibwa.
7 Toward the service of God’s house they gave 5,000 talents and 10,000 darics of gold, 10,000 talents of silver, 18,000 talents of bronze, and 100,000 talents of iron.
Ne bawaayo zaabu ttani kikumi mu kyenda ne kilo kinaana mu nnya, ne ffeeza ttani bisatu mu nsanvu mu ttaano, n’ebikomo ttani lukaaga mu nsanvu mu ttaano, n’ebyuma ttani enkumi ssatu mu lusanvu mu ataano, olw’omulimu gwa yeekaalu ya Katonda.
8 Whoever had precious stones gave them to the treasury of the house of the LORD, under the care of Jehiel the Gershonite.
Abo abaalina amayinja ag’omuwendo, baagawaayo eri eggwanika lya yeekaalu ya Mukama, eyakuumibwanga Yekyeri Omugerusoni.
9 And the people rejoiced at the willing response of their leaders, for they had given to the LORD freely and wholeheartedly. And King David also rejoiced greatly.
Abantu ne basanyukira nnyo okwewaayo abakulembeze baabwe kwe beewaayo, kubanga baawaayo n’omutima ogutuukiridde eri Mukama. Ne kabaka Dawudi n’asanyuka nnyo nnyini.
10 Then David blessed the LORD in the sight of all the assembly and said: “May You be blessed, O LORD, God of our father Israel, from everlasting to everlasting.
Awo Dawudi n’atendereza Mukama mu lujjudde lw’abantu bonna, n’ayogera nti, “Weebazibwe, Ayi Mukama Katonda, Katonda wa jjajjaffe Isirayiri, emirembe n’emirembe.
11 Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the splendor and the majesty, for everything in heaven and on earth belongs to You. Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom, and You are exalted as head over all.
Obukulu, n’amaanyi, n’ekitiibwa, n’obuwanguzi, n’okugulumizibwa bibyo, Ayi Mukama Katonda, kubanga byonna ebiri mu ggulu ne mu nsi bibyo. Obwakabaka bubwo, Ayi Mukama Katonda, era ogulumizibwa okuba omukulu wa byonna.
12 Both riches and honor come from You, and You are the ruler over all. In Your hands are power and might to exalt and give strength to all.
Obugagga n’ekitiibwa biva gy’oli, era ggwe ofuga ebintu byonna; omukono gwo gwa maanyi era gwa buyinza era gugulumiza ne guwa amaanyi bonna.
13 Now therefore, our God, we give You thanks, and we praise Your glorious name.
Kale nno, Katonda waffe, tukwebaza era tutendereza erinnya lyo ery’ekitiibwa.
14 But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? For everything comes from You, and from Your own hand we have given to You.
“Naye nze ani n’abantu bange kye ki, ffe okusobola okuwaayo bwe tutyo nga ffe tweyagalidde? Byonna biva gy’oli, era tukuwadde ku bibyo.
15 For we are foreigners and strangers in Your presence, as were all our forefathers. Our days on earth are like a shadow, without hope.
Ffe tuli bagenyi era abatambuze mu maaso go, nga bajjajjaffe bonna bwe baali, n’ennaku zaffe ez’oku nsi ziri ng’ekisiikirize, awatali ssuubi.
16 O LORD our God, from Your hand comes all this abundance that we have provided to build You a house for Your holy Name, and all of it belongs to You.
Era Ayi Mukama Katonda waffe, ebintu bino byonna bye tuwaddeyo olw’okuzimba eyeekaalu ku lw’erinnya lyo, biva gy’oli, era byonna bibyo.
17 I know, my God, that You test the heart and delight in uprightness. All these things I have given willingly and with an upright heart, and now I have seen Your people who are present here giving joyfully and willingly to You.
Katonda wange, mmanyi nti okebera emitima, era osanyukira obwesimbu, n’ebintu bino byonna mbiwaddeyo awatali kuwalirizibwa, era n’omutima omwesimbu. Era kaakano ndabye abantu bo nga bakuwa n’essanyu n’omwoyo gumu.
18 O LORD, God of our fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, keep this desire forever in the intentions of the hearts of Your people, and direct their hearts toward You.
Ayi Mukama, Katonda wa bajjajjaffe Ibulayimu, Isaaka, ne Isirayiri, okuume omuliro ogwo mu mitima gy’abantu bo emirembe gyonna, era emitima gyabwe ginywerere ku gwe.
19 And give my son Solomon a whole heart to keep and carry out all Your commandments, decrees, and statutes, and to build Your palace for which I have made provision.”
Owe Sulemaani mutabani wange omutima ogumaliridde okukumanga ebiragiro byo, empya zo, n’amateeka go, era omuwe amaanyi okuzimba ekizimbe kye ntegese.”
20 Then David said to the whole assembly, “Blessed be the LORD your God.” So the whole assembly blessed the LORD, the God of their fathers. They bowed down and paid homage to the LORD and to the king.
Awo Dawudi n’agamba ekibiina kyonna nti, “Mukama Katonda wammwe atenderezebwe.” Ekibiina kyonna ne kitendereza Mukama, Katonda wa bajjajjaabwe nga bakutamye emitwe gyabwe, nga bwe bagwa ne ku ttaka mu maaso ga Mukama ne kabaka.
21 The next day they offered sacrifices and presented burnt offerings to the LORD: a thousand bulls, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, along with their drink offerings, and other sacrifices in abundance for all Israel.
Ku lunaku olwaddirira ne bawaayo ssaddaaka n’ebiweebwayo ebyokebwa eri Mukama, ng’omwo mwe muli seddume lukumi, n’endiga ennume lukumi, n’obwana bw’endiga obulume lukumi, era n’ebiweebwayo eby’okunywa ne ssaddaaka endala ku lwa Isirayiri yenna.
22 That day they ate and drank with great joy in the presence of the LORD. Then, for a second time, they designated David’s son Solomon as king, anointing him before the LORD as ruler, and Zadok as the priest.
Ne baliira era ne banywera mu maaso ga Mukama nga bajjudde essanyu lingi ku lunaku olwo. Awo Sulemaani mutabani wa Dawudi n’akakasibwa nga kabaka omulundi ogwokubiri, era n’afukibwako amafuta mu maaso ga Mukama okuba omukulembeze ne Zadooki okuba kabona.
23 So Solomon sat on the throne of the LORD as king in place of his father David. He prospered, and all Israel obeyed him.
Awo Sulemaani n’atuula ku ntebe ey’obwakabaka eya Mukama nga ye kabaka mu kifo kya Dawudi kitaawe, era n’alaba omukisa ne Isirayiri yenna ne mugondera.
24 All the officials and mighty men, as well as all of King David’s sons, pledged their allegiance to King Solomon.
Abakungu bonna n’abasajja abazira bonna, ne batabani ba kabaka Dawudi bonna ne bawera eri kabaka Sulemaani.
25 The LORD highly exalted Solomon in the sight of all Israel and bestowed on him royal majesty such as had not been bestowed on any king in Israel before him.
Mukama n’agulumiza nnyo Sulemaani mu maaso ga Isirayiri yenna, era n’aweebwa ekitiibwa eky’obwakabaka ekyali kitaweebwanga kabaka mulala yenna mu Isirayiri.
26 David son of Jesse was king over all Israel.
Dawudi mutabani wa Yese yali kabaka wa Isirayiri yenna.
27 The length of David’s reign over Israel was forty years—seven years in Hebron and thirty-three years in Jerusalem.
Yafugira Isirayiri okumala emyaka amakumi ana, nga musanvu yagifugira e Kebbulooni, n’emirala amakumi asatu n’agifugira mu Yerusaalemi.
28 He died at a ripe old age, full of years, riches, and honor, and his son Solomon reigned in his place.
N’afa ng’akaddiye nnyo, ng’ajjudde essanyu olw’emyaka gye yamala ku nsi, mu bugagga ne mu kitiibwa, era Sulemaani mutabani we n’amusikira.
29 Now the acts of King David, from first to last, are indeed written in the Chronicles of Samuel the Seer, the Chronicles of Nathan the Prophet, and the Chronicles of Gad the Seer,
Era ebyafaayo ebyomumirembe gya kabaka Dawudi okuviira ddala ku ntandikwa okutuukira ddala ku nkomerero, byawandiikibwa mu bitabo ebyomumirembe bya nnabbi Samwiri ne mu bitabo ebyomumirembe ebya Gaadi omulabirizi,
30 together with all the details of his reign, his might, and the circumstances that came upon him and Israel and all the kingdoms of the lands.
era n’eby’okufuga kwe, n’obuyinza bwe, n’ebyo byonna ebyamutuukako, ne ku Isirayiri, ne ku bwakabaka obulala obwali bumwetoolodde, byonna byawandiikibwa omwo.
