1 Chronicles 29
1 Then King David said to the whole assembly, “My son Solomon, the one whom God has chosen, is young and inexperienced. The task is great because this palace is not for man, but for the LORD God.
Und König David sprach zu der ganzen Gemeinde: "Meinen Sohn Salomo allein hat Gott erwählt. Er ist aber noch jung und zart, und das Werk ist gewaltig. Denn nicht für einen Menschen ist die Burg bestimmt, sondern für Gott den Herrn.
2 Now with all my ability I have made provision for the house of my God—gold for the gold articles, silver for the silver, bronze for the bronze, iron for the iron, and wood for the wood, as well as onyx for the settings, turquoise, stones of various colors, all kinds of precious stones, and slabs of marble—all in abundance.
Und so habe ich mit all meiner Kraft für meines Gottes Haus Gold zu dem goldenen Gerät beschafft, Silber zum silbernen, Erz zum ehernen, Eisen zum eisernen und Holz zum hölzernen, ferner Onyxsteine und glänzende und bunte Steine zu Füllungen, sowie sonstige kostbare Steine und in Menge Alabasterstein.
3 Moreover, because of my delight in the house of my God, I now give for it my personal treasures of gold and silver, over and above all that I have provided for this holy temple:
Weiter gebe ich in meinem Eifer für meines Gottes Haus das, was ich an erspartem Gold und Silber besitze, zum Hause meines Gottes, mehr als ich bereits für das heilige Haus beschafft habe,
4 three thousand talents of gold (the gold of Ophir) and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the buildings,
3.000 Goldtalente Ophirgold und 7.000 Talente geläutertes Silber, um die Wände des Hauses zu überziehen,
5 for the gold work and the silver work, and for all the work to be done by the craftsmen. Now who will volunteer to consecrate himself to the LORD today?”
alles Nötige an Gold und Silber und für jede Arbeit durch Künstlerhand. Wer ist nun bereit, heute für den Herrn mit vollen Händen zu geben?"
6 Then the leaders of the households, the officers of the tribes of Israel, the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, and the officials in charge of the king’s work gave willingly.
Da spendeten die Obersten der Familien, die Obersten der Stämme Israels, die Obersten der Tausend- und Hundertschaften und die Obersten im königlichen Dienste.
7 Toward the service of God’s house they gave 5,000 talents and 10,000 darics of gold, 10,000 talents of silver, 18,000 talents of bronze, and 100,000 talents of iron.
Sie gaben zum Bau des Gotteshauses 5.000 Goldtalente oder 10.000 Dariken, 10.000 Talente Silber, 18.000 Talente Erz und 100.000 Talente Eisen.
8 Whoever had precious stones gave them to the treasury of the house of the LORD, under the care of Jehiel the Gershonite.
Wer Steine besaß, gab sie in den Schatz des Hauses des Herrn unter die Obhut des Gersoniters Jechiel.
9 And the people rejoiced at the willing response of their leaders, for they had given to the LORD freely and wholeheartedly. And King David also rejoiced greatly.
Das Volk aber freute sich über ihre Freigebigkeit; denn mit ungeteiltem Herzen waren sie gegen den Herrn freigebig gewesen. Auch König David hatte sich recht darüber gefreut.
10 Then David blessed the LORD in the sight of all the assembly and said: “May You be blessed, O LORD, God of our father Israel, from everlasting to everlasting.
Da pries David den Herrn angesichts der ganzen Gemeinde. Und David sprach: "Gepriesen seist Du, Herr, Gott unseres Vaters Israel, von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit!
11 Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the splendor and the majesty, for everything in heaven and on earth belongs to You. Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom, and You are exalted as head over all.
Dein ist die Größe, Macht und Herrlichkeit und Ruhm und Hoheit, Herr; denn Dein ist alles, so im Himmel wie auf Erden, Herr, die Herrschaft und der Vorrang über alle Hochgeborenen.
12 Both riches and honor come from You, and You are the ruler over all. In Your hands are power and might to exalt and give strength to all.
Der Reichtum und die Ehre kommen nur von Dir, und Du bist Herrscher über alles. In Deiner Hand steht Kraft und Macht. Bei Dir steht es, jemanden groß und stark zu machen.
13 Now therefore, our God, we give You thanks, and we praise Your glorious name.
Nun, unser Gott! Dir danken wir und preisen Deinen Namen voller Glanz.
14 But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? For everything comes from You, and from Your own hand we have given to You.
Denn wer bin ich? Was ist mein Volk, daß wir soviel freiwillig spenden können? Von Dir stammt alles. Aus Deiner Hand bloß geben wir es Dir,
15 For we are foreigners and strangers in Your presence, as were all our forefathers. Our days on earth are like a shadow, without hope.
sind wir doch Fremdlinge vor Dir und Beisassen wie alle unsere Väter. Ein Schatten nur sind unsere Tage auf der Erde, hoffnungslos.
16 O LORD our God, from Your hand comes all this abundance that we have provided to build You a house for Your holy Name, and all of it belongs to You.
Herr, unser Gott! All diese Fülle, die wir jetzt beschafft, um Dir ein Haus für Deinen heiligen Namen zu erbauen, aus Deiner Hand stammt sie, und Dein ist alles.
17 I know, my God, that You test the heart and delight in uprightness. All these things I have given willingly and with an upright heart, and now I have seen Your people who are present here giving joyfully and willingly to You.
Ich weiß, mein Gott, daß Du die Herzen prüfest, daß Du an Redlichkeit Gefallen hast; drum habe ich in Redlichkeit des Herzens alles dies gespendet. Und auch Dein Volk, das hier zugegen, ich sehe es mit Freuden Dir die Gaben bringen.
18 O LORD, God of our fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, keep this desire forever in the intentions of the hearts of Your people, and direct their hearts toward You.
Herr! Unserer Väter Abraham, Isaak und Jakob Gott! Bewahre ewig diese guten Triebe im Herzen Deines Volkes und lenke hin sein Herz zu Dir!
19 And give my son Solomon a whole heart to keep and carry out all Your commandments, decrees, and statutes, and to build Your palace for which I have made provision.”
Gib meinem Sohne Salomo ein ungeteiltes Herz, zu wahren Deine Vorschriften, Gebräuche und Verordnungen und alles dies zu tun und auch die Burg, die ich jetzt vorbereite, zu erbauen!"
20 Then David said to the whole assembly, “Blessed be the LORD your God.” So the whole assembly blessed the LORD, the God of their fathers. They bowed down and paid homage to the LORD and to the king.
Dann sprach David zu der ganzen Gemeinde: "Preist den Herrn, euren Gott!" Da pries die ganze Gemeinde den Herrn, ihrer Väter Gott. Sie neigten sich und warfen sich vor dem Herrn nieder und vor dem Könige.
21 The next day they offered sacrifices and presented burnt offerings to the LORD: a thousand bulls, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, along with their drink offerings, and other sacrifices in abundance for all Israel.
Sie schlachteten für den Herrn Opfer und brachten dem Herrn Brandopfer am anderen Morgen dar: tausend Farren, tausend Widder, tausend Lämmer nebst ihren Trankopfern, dazu in Menge Schlachtopfer für ganz Israel.
22 That day they ate and drank with great joy in the presence of the LORD. Then, for a second time, they designated David’s son Solomon as king, anointing him before the LORD as ruler, and Zadok as the priest.
Dann aßen sie und tranken vor dem Herrn an jenem Tage mit großer Freude. Dann machten sie Davids Sohn Salomo zum zweitenmal zum König und salbten ihn dem Herrn zum Fürsten und Sadok zum Priester.
23 So Solomon sat on the throne of the LORD as king in place of his father David. He prospered, and all Israel obeyed him.
So saß Salomo auf dem Throne des Herrn als König an seines Vaters David Statt, und er hatte Glück. Ganz Israel gehorchte ihm.
24 All the officials and mighty men, as well as all of King David’s sons, pledged their allegiance to King Solomon.
Auch alle Obersten und Helden sowie alle Söhne des Königs David unterwarfen sich dem König Salomo.
25 The LORD highly exalted Solomon in the sight of all Israel and bestowed on him royal majesty such as had not been bestowed on any king in Israel before him.
Und der Herr machte Salomo überaus groß in den Augen von ganz Israel und legte auf ihn königlichen Glanz, wie ihn vor ihm kein König von Israel besessen hatte.
26 David son of Jesse was king over all Israel.
David, Isais Sohn, hatte über ganz Israel geherrscht.
27 The length of David’s reign over Israel was forty years—seven years in Hebron and thirty-three years in Jerusalem.
Die Zeit, die er über Israel herrschte, betrug vierzig Jahre. Zu Hebron regierte er sieben Jahre und zu Jerusalem dreiunddreißig Jahre.
28 He died at a ripe old age, full of years, riches, and honor, and his son Solomon reigned in his place.
Er starb in schönem Alter, satt an Lebenstagen, Reichtum und Ruhm. Und sein Sohn Salomo ward König an seiner Statt.
29 Now the acts of King David, from first to last, are indeed written in the Chronicles of Samuel the Seer, the Chronicles of Nathan the Prophet, and the Chronicles of Gad the Seer,
Des Königs David Geschichte aber, die frühere und die spätere, ist aufgezeichnet in der Geschichte des Sehers Samuel, in der Geschichte des Propheten Natan und in der Geschichte des Sehers Gad,
30 together with all the details of his reign, his might, and the circumstances that came upon him and Israel and all the kingdoms of the lands.
samt seiner ganzen Regierung, seinen Heldentaten und den Zeitläuften, die über ihn dahingegangen sind und über Israel und über all die anderen Reiche der Länder.
