1 Chronicles 15
1 David constructed buildings for himself in the City of David, and he prepared a place for the ark of God and pitched a tent for it.
দাউদ-নগরে নিজের জন্য ঘরবাড়ি তৈরি করার পর দাউদ ঈশ্বরের নিয়ম-সিন্দুকের জন্য এক স্থান প্রস্তুত করলেন ও সেটির জন্য এক তাঁবু খাটিয়েছিলেন।
2 Then David said, “No one but the Levites may carry the ark of God, because the LORD has chosen them to carry the ark of the LORD and to minister before Him forever.”
পরে দাউদ বললেন, “লেবীয়েরা ছাড়া আর কেউ ঈশ্বরের নিয়ম-সিন্দুকটি বহন করবে না, কারণ সদাপ্রভুর সিন্দুকটি বহন করার ও চিরকাল তাঁর সামনে সেবাকাজ করার জন্য সদাপ্রভুই তাদের বেছে নিয়েছেন।”
3 And David assembled all Israel in Jerusalem to bring up the ark of the LORD to the place he had prepared for it.
সদাপ্রভুর নিয়ম-সিন্দুকটির জন্য দাউদ যে স্থানটি প্রস্তুত করলেন, সেখানে সেটি নিয়ে আসার জন্য তিনি সমস্ত ইস্রায়েলকে জেরুশালেমে একত্রিত করলেন।
4 Then he gathered together the descendants of Aaron and the Levites:
হারোণ ও এই লেবীয়দের ডেকে তিনি সমবেত করলেন:
5 From the Kohathites, Uriel the chief and 120 of his relatives;
কহাতের বংশধরদের মধ্যে থেকে, নেতা ঊরীয়েল ও তাঁর 120 জন আত্মীয়স্বজন;
6 from the Merarites, Asaiah the chief and 220 of his relatives;
মরারির বংশধরদের মধ্যে থেকে, নেতা অসায় ও তাঁর 220 জন আত্মীয়স্বজন;
7 from the Gershomites, Joel the chief and 130 of his relatives;
গের্শোনের বংশধরদের মধ্যে থেকে, নেতা যোয়েল ও তাঁর 130 জন আত্মীয়স্বজন;
8 from the Elizaphanites, Shemaiah the chief and 200 of his relatives;
ইলীষাফণের বংশধরদের মধ্যে থেকে, নেতা শময়িয় ও তাঁর 200 জন আত্মীয়স্বজন;
9 from the Hebronites, Eliel the chief and 80 of his relatives;
হিব্রোণের বংশধরদের মধ্যে থেকে, নেতা ইলীয়েল ও তাঁর আশি জন আত্মীয়স্বজন;
10 and from the Uzzielites, Amminadab the chief and 112 of his relatives.
উষীয়েলের বংশধরদের মধ্যে থেকে, নেতা অম্মীনাদব ও তাঁর 112 জন আত্মীয়স্বজন।
11 David summoned the priests Zadok and Abiathar and the Levites Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah, Eliel, and Amminadab.
পরে দাউদ যাজক সাদোক ও অবিয়াথরকে এবং লেবীয় ঊরীয়েল, অসায়, যোয়েল, শময়িয়, ইলীয়েল ও অম্মীনাদবকে ডেকে পাঠালেন।
12 And he said to them, “You are the heads of the Levitical families. You and your relatives must consecrate yourselves so that you may bring the ark of the LORD, the God of Israel, to the place I have prepared for it.
তিনি তাদের বললেন, “আপনারা লেবীয় গোষ্ঠীর কর্তাব্যক্তি; আপনাদেরই নিজেদের ও আপনাদের সহকর্মী লেবীয়দের পবিত্র করতে হবে এবং ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর নিয়ম-সিন্দুকটির জন্য আমি যে স্থানটি প্রস্তুত করে রেখেছি, সেখানে সেটি নিয়ে আসতে হবে।
13 It was because you Levites were not with us the first time that the LORD our God burst forth in anger against us. For we did not consult Him about the proper order.”
আপনারা, এই লেবীয়রা যেহেতু প্রথমবার সেটি তুলে আনেননি, তাই আমাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু আমাদের বিরুদ্ধে ক্রোধে ফেটে পড়েছিলেন। বিধানানুসারে কীভাবে তা করতে হয়, সে বিষয়েও আমরা তাঁর কাছে কিছু জানতে চাইনি।”
14 So the priests and Levites consecrated themselves to bring up the ark of the LORD, the God of Israel.
তাই ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর নিয়ম-সিন্দুকটি নিয়ে আসার জন্য যাজক ও লেবীয়েরা নিজেদের পবিত্র করলেন।
15 And the Levites carried the ark of God on their shoulders with the poles, as Moses had commanded in accordance with the word of the LORD.
সদাপ্রভুর বাক্যানুযায়ী মোশি যে আদেশ দিলেন, সেই আদেশানুসারে লেবীয়েরা নিজেদের কাঁধের উপর খুঁটিতে চাপিয়ে ঈশ্বরের সেই নিয়ম-সিন্দুকটি বহন করলেন।
16 David also told the leaders of the Levites to appoint their relatives as singers to lift up their voices with joy, accompanied by musical instruments—harps, lyres, and cymbals.
দাউদ লেবীয় নেতাদের বললেন, তারা যেন খঞ্জনি, বীণা ও সুরবাহারের মতো বাদ্যযন্ত্র নিয়ে আনন্দগান গাইবার জন্য তাদের সহকর্মী লেবীয়দের নিযুক্ত করলেন।
17 So the Levites appointed Heman son of Joel; from his brothers, Asaph son of Berechiah; from their brothers the Merarites, Ethan son of Kushaiah;
তাই লেবীয়েরা যোয়েলের ছেলে হেমনকে; তাঁর আত্মীয়স্বজনদের মধ্যে থেকে বেরিখিয়ের ছেলে আসফকে; এবং তাদের আত্মীয়স্বজন সেই মরারীয়দের মধ্যে থেকে কূশায়ার ছেলে এথনকে নিযুক্ত করলেন;
18 and with them their brothers next in rank: Zechariah, Jaaziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, and the gatekeepers Obed-edom and Jeiel.
আর তাদের সাথে পদাধিকারবলে তাদের এই আত্মীয়স্বজনরা তাদের তুলনায় কিছুটা কম গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ছিলেন: সখরিয়, যাসীয়েল, শমীরামোৎ, যিহীয়েল, উন্নি, ইলীয়াব, বনায়, মাসেয়, মত্তিথিয়, ইলীফলেহূ, মিকনেয় এবং দ্বাররক্ষী ওবেদ-ইদোম ও যিয়ীয়েল।
19 The musicians Heman, Asaph, and Ethan were to sound the bronze cymbals.
সংগীতজ্ঞ হেমন, আসফ ও এথনকে ব্রোঞ্জের সুরবাহার বাজাতে হত;
20 Zechariah, Aziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Maaseiah, and Benaiah were to play the harps according to Alamoth.
সখরিয়, যাসীয়েল, শমীরামোৎ, যিহীয়েল, উন্নি, ইলীয়াব, মাসেয় ও বনায়কে অলামোৎ সুরে খঞ্জনি বাজাতে হত,
21 And Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, Obed-edom, Jeiel, and Azaziah were to lead the music with lyres according to Sheminith.
এবং মত্তিথিয়, ইলীফলেহূ, মিকনেয়, ওবেদ-ইদোম, যিয়ীয়েল ও অসসিয়কে শিমিনীৎ সুরে অনুপ্রাণিত হয়ে বীণা বাজাতে হত।
22 Chenaniah the head Levite was the director of the music because he was highly skilled.
প্রধান-লেবীয় কননিয়কে গানের গুরু করে দেওয়া হল; সেটিই ছিল তাঁর দায়িত্ব, কারণ তিনি সে কাজে যথেষ্ট পারদর্শী ছিলেন।
23 Berechiah and Elkanah were to be guardians of the ark.
বেরিখিয় ও ইল্কানাকে নিয়ম-সিন্দুকটির জন্য দ্বাররক্ষী হতে হল।
24 Shebaniah, Joshaphat, Nethanel, Amasai, Zechariah, Benaiah, and Eliezer—the priests—were to blow the trumpets before the ark of God. Obed-edom and Jehiah were also to be guardians of the ark.
যাজক শবনিয়, যিহোশাফট, নথনেল, অমাসয়, সখরিয়, বনায় ও ইলীয়েষরকে ঈশ্বরের নিয়ম-সিন্দুকটির সামনে শিঙা বাজাতে হত। ওবেদ-ইদোম ও যিহিয়কেও নিয়ম-সিন্দুকটির জন্য দ্বাররক্ষী হতে হল।
25 So David, the elders of Israel, and the commanders of thousands went with rejoicing to bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD from the house of Obed-edom.
অতএব দাউদ ও ইস্রায়েলের প্রাচীনেরা এবং সৈন্যদলের সহস্র-সেনাপতিরা আনন্দ করতে করতে ওবেদ-ইদোমের বাড়ি থেকে সদাপ্রভুর নিয়ম-সিন্দুকটি আনতে গেলেন।
26 And because God helped the Levites who were carrying the ark of the covenant of the LORD, they sacrificed seven bulls and seven rams.
যেহেতু সদাপ্রভুর নিয়ম-সিন্দুক বহনকারী লেবীয়দের ঈশ্বর সাহায্য করলেন, তাই সাতটি বলদ ও সাতটি মদ্দা মেষ বলি দেওয়া হল।
27 Now David was dressed in a robe of fine linen, as were all the Levites who were carrying the ark, as well as the singers and Chenaniah, the director of music for the singers. David also wore a linen ephod.
ইত্যবসরে দাউদ মিহি মসিনার পোশাক গায়ে দিলেন, সেই নিয়ম-সিন্দুক বহনকারী লেবীয়েরা সবাই, তথা সংগীতজ্ঞরা, ও গায়কদলের গান পরিচালনাকারী কননিয়ও একই ধরনের পোশাক গায়ে দিলেন। দাউদ আবার মসিনার এক এফোদও গায়ে দিলেন।
28 So all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with shouting, with the sounding of rams’ horns and trumpets, and with cymbals and the music of harps and lyres.
অতএব ইস্রায়েলে সবাই চিৎকার করে করে, মদ্দা মেষের শিং ও শিঙা এবং সুরবাহার বাজিয়ে, ও খঞ্জনি ও বীণাও বাজিয়ে সদাপ্রভুর নিয়ম-সিন্দুকটি ফিরিয়ে এনেছিল।
29 As the ark of the covenant of the LORD was entering the City of David, Saul’s daughter Michal looked down from a window and saw King David dancing and celebrating, and she despised him in her heart.
সদাপ্রভুর নিয়ম-সিন্দুকটি ঠিক যখন দাউদ-নগরে প্রবেশ করছিল, শৌলের মেয়ে মীখল জানালায় দাঁড়িয়ে সেই দৃশ্য দেখছিলেন। আর তিনি যখন দেখলেন যে রাজা দাউদ নাচছেন ও উচ্ছ্বাস প্রকাশ করছেন, তখন তিনি মনে মনে তাঁকে তুচ্ছজ্ঞান করলেন।
