< 1 Chronicles 11 >
1 Then all Israel came together to David at Hebron and said, “Here we are, your own flesh and blood.
Kalpasanna, napan ti amin nga Israel kenni David idiay Hebron ket kinunada, “Kitaem, dakami ti lasag ken tulangmo.
2 Even in times past, while Saul was king, you were the one who led Israel out and brought them back. And the LORD your God said, ‘You will shepherd My people Israel, and you will be ruler over them.’”
Iti napalabas, idi ni Saul ti aritayo, sika ti nangidaulo iti armada dagiti Israelita. Kinuna kenka ni Yahweh a Diosmo, 'Sikanto ti mangipastor kadagiti tattaok iti Israel, ken sikanto ti mangituray kadagiti tattaok iti Israel.”'
3 So all the elders of Israel came to the king at Hebron, where David made a covenant with them before the LORD. And they anointed him king over Israel, according to the word of the LORD through Samuel.
Napan ngarud dagiti amin a panglakayen ti Israel iti ayan ti ari idiay Hebron, ket nakitulag kadakuada ni David iti sangoanan ni Yahweh. Pinulotanda ni David a kas ari iti entero nga Israel. Iti kastoy a wagas a pimmudno ti sao ni Yahweh nga impakaammo ni Samuel.
4 Then David and all the Israelites marched to Jerusalem (that is, Jebus), where the Jebusites inhabited the land.
Napan ni David ken dagiti amin nga Israel idiay Jerusalem (dayta ti Jebus). Ita, adda sadiay dagiti Jebuseo, nga agnanaed iti dayta a daga.
5 The people of Jebus said to David, “You will never get in here.” Nevertheless, David captured the fortress of Zion (that is, the City of David).
Kinuna dagiti agnanaed iti Jebus kenni David, “Saankanto nga umay ditoy.” Ngem innala ni David ti sarikedked ti Sion, nga isu ti siudad ni David.
6 Now David had said, “Whoever is the first to strike down a Jebusite will become chief commander.” And Joab son of Zeruiah went up first, and he became the chief.
Kinuna ni David, “Siasinoman ti umuna a mangraut kadagiti Jebuseo ket agbalinto a pangulo.” Isu nga immuna a rimmaut ni Joab nga anak ni Saruias, isu a nagbalin isuna a pangulo.
7 So David took up residence in the fortress; that is why it was called the City of David.
Ket nagnaed ni David iti sarikedked. Isu nga inawaganda daytoy iti siudad ni David.
8 He built up the city around it, from the supporting terraces to the surrounding wall, while Joab restored the rest of the city.
Pinalagdana ti aglawlaw ti siudad manipud Millo ken agsubli iti aglikmut a pader. Pinalagda ni Joab dagiti dadduma pay a paset ti siudad.
9 And David became greater and greater, for the LORD of Hosts was with him.
Ad-adda a bimmileg ni David gapu ta adda kenkuana ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin.
10 Now these were the chiefs of David’s mighty men, who, together with all Israel, bolstered and strengthened his kingdom, according to the word of the LORD concerning Israel.
Dagitoy dagiti mangidadaulo a kaddua ni David, a nangiparang iti bagida a napigsa iti pagarianna, agraman dagiti amin nga Israel, a namagbalin kenkuana nga ari, a maiyannurot iti sao ni Yahweh maipapan iti Israel.
11 This is the list of David’s mighty men: Jashobeam son of Hachmoni was chief of the officers; he wielded his spear against three hundred men, whom he killed at one time.
Daytoy ti listaan dagiti nalatak a soldado ni David: ni Jasobeam, nga anak ti maysa a Hakmon, ti mangidadaulo iti tallopulo. Pinapatayna ti tallo gasut a lallaki babaen iti gayangna iti maysa a dangadang.
12 Next in command was Eleazar son of Dodo the Ahohite, one of the three mighty men.
Ti sumaruno kenkuana ket ni Eleazar a putot ni Dodo, nga Ahohita, a maysa idi kadagiti tallo a mamaingel a lallaki.
13 He was with David at Pas-dammim when the Philistines gathered there for battle. At the place with a field full of barley, the troops fled from the Philistines.
Kaduana ni David idiay Pas Dammim, ket naguummong sadiay dagiti Filisteo tapno makigubat, nga ayan ti talon ti sebada ket nagtaray dagiti armada manipud kadagiti Filisteo.
14 But Eleazar and David stationed themselves in the middle of the field and defended it. They struck down the Philistines, and the LORD brought about a great victory.
Nagtakderda iti tengnga ti talon, ket inkanawada daytoy, ket pinapatayda dagiti Filisteo. Inispal ida ni Yahweh nga addaan iti dakkel a panagballigi.
15 Three of the thirty chief men went down to David, to the rock at the cave of Adullam, while a company of Philistines was encamped in the Valley of Rephaim.
Ket simmalog ti tallo kadagiti tallopulo a mangidadaulo iti bato nga ayan ni David, iti kuweba ti Addulam. Nagkampo ti armada dagiti Filisteo idiay tanap ti Refaim.
16 At that time David was in the stronghold, and the garrison of the Philistines was at Bethlehem.
Iti dayta a tiempo, adda ni David iti sarikedkedna a kuweba, kabayatan iti panangipatakder dagiti Filisteo iti kampoda idiay Betlehem.
17 David longed for water and said, “Oh, that someone would get me a drink of water from the well near the gate of Bethlehem!”
Agkalikagum ni David iti danum ket kinunana, “No laeng adda maysa a tao a mangted kaniak iti danum nga inumek manipud iti bubon idiay Betlehem, ti bubon nga adda iti abay ti ruangan!”
18 So the Three broke through the Philistine camp, drew water from the well at the gate of Bethlehem, and brought it back to David. But he refused to drink it; instead, he poured it out to the LORD,
Sinerrek ngarud dagitoy a tallo a mamaingel a lallaki ti armada dagiti Filisteo ket nangalada iti danum iti bubon ti Betlehem, ti bubon iti abay ti ruangan. Nangalada iti danum ket impanda daytoy kenni David, ngem saanna nga ininom daytoy. Ngem ketdi, imbubokna daytoy nga agpaay kenni Yahweh.
19 saying, “Far be it from me, my God, to do this! How can I drink the blood of these men who risked their lives?” Because they had brought it at the risk of their lives, David refused to drink it. Such were the exploits of the three mighty men.
Ket kinunana, “Iyadayom kaniak O Yahweh nga inumek daytoy. Inumek kadi ti dara dagiti lallaki a nangipusta kadagiti biagda?” Gapu ta impustada dagiti biagda, saanna nga ininom daytoy. Dagitoy dagiti banbanag nga inaramid dagiti tallo a mamaingel a lallaki.
20 Now Abishai, the brother of Joab, was chief of the Three, and he lifted his spear against three hundred men, killed them, and won a name along with the Three.
Ni Abisai a kabsat ni Joab, ti kapitan idi dagiti tallo. Inaramatna iti naminsan ti gayangna a maibusor kadagiti tallogasut ket pinapatayna ida. Masansan isuna a madakamat a kaduana dagiti tallo a soldado.
21 He was doubly honored above the Three, and he became their commander, even though he was not included among the Three.
Kadagiti tallo, isuna ti katan-okan ken nagbalin isuna a kapitanda. Nupay kasta, saanna a naartapan ti kinalatak dagiti tallo a kalalatakan a soldado.
22 And Benaiah son of Jehoiada was a man of valor from Kabzeel, a man of many exploits. He struck down two champions of Moab, and on a snowy day he went down into a pit and killed a lion.
Ni Benaias a putot ni Jehoyada ket napigsa idi a lalaki a nangaramid kadagiti naindaklan nga aramid. Pinapatayna dagiti dua nga annak ni Ariel a taga-Moab. Bimmaba pay isuna iti abut ket pinatayna ti leon kabayatan iti panagtinnag ti niebe.
23 He also killed an Egyptian, a huge man five cubits tall. Although the Egyptian had a spear like a weaver’s beam in his hand, Benaiah went against him with a club, snatched the spear from his hand, and killed the Egyptian with his own spear.
Pinatayna pay ti maysa nga Egipcio, ti maysa a tao a lima a cubico ti katayagna. Addaan ti gayang ti Egipcio a kas iti paglukutan ti abel, ngem simmalog isuna kenkuana nga addaan laeng iti sarukod. Inagawna ti gayang manipud iti ima ti Egipcio ket pinatayna isuna babaen iti gayangna met laeng.
24 These were the exploits of Benaiah son of Jehoiada, who won a name alongside the three mighty men.
Ni Benaias nga anak ni Jehoyada ti nangaramid kadagitoy a naindaklan nga aramid, ket nanaganan isuna a kaduana dagiti tallo a mamaingel a lallaki.
25 He was most honored among the Thirty, but he did not become one of the Three. And David appointed him over his guard.
Natantan-ok isuna ngem kadagiti amin a tallopulo a soldado, ngem saan isuna a naibilang a kas katan-okan kadagiti tallo a kalalatakan a soldado. Ket insaad isuna ni David a mangidaulo iti guardiana.
